Up for sale is a 1995 hummer h1 with 94,xxx miles with a 4 cylinder cummins conversion backed by the stock 4l80 overdrive transmission runs drive perfect don't under estimate or be scared when u read 4cyl cummins this truck runs better and has more power than he day it rolled out the door at the factory original 6.5 diesel the truck runs cooler about 170 degrees highest I have ever seen it plus u can actually pull a trailer or tow something with it now also I'm getting 15 mpg highway and closer to 18 off highway driving  I also have a full roof rack that comes with it

The truck itself is in very good shape no rust on the truck there is a couple bubbles starting on the top interior is in great shape Leather seats all gauges work front and rear heater work very good power windows and locks also has the jump seat ( cloth ) the truck has tons of newer parts it has drilled slotted rotors all way round with new pads rebuilt front suspension all fluids gone threw
Aluminum radiator custom made intercooler rebuilt front hvac newer ctis pump two sets of wheels tires one set of aluminum with the round holes around them with quick connect air hoses and five military 12 bolt wheels with new bfg tires on them the a/c worked great before conversion needs a/c pumped bracket made now all lines and wires are there just needs a bracket and pump installed

The transmission has a stand alone system to shift it and is fully adjustable to personal preference  like I said it's the original 4l80 but all updated have been done to the transmission valve body and pump with shift kit installed shifts out very very well

Engine is a 2001 p pumped 4bt cummins engine was a reman motor has around 20k on it now around 10k on conversion only mods to engine that I have done is injection pump timing  governor springs and turned the fuel up a bit  I used a aftermarket adapter and flywheel  which uses a 6 liter power stroke starter

I'm sure there are a lot of stuff I may have missed but I would be more than happy to answer any question about it  but please I only need serious inquiries about it I will not waste ur please don't waste mine if u don't have the money or can't get it don't call and I'm not interested in trading for ur 2003 dodge diesel truck that obviously is only worth 1/3 or half of the hummer just save us all the trouble and use ur head and think about what ur gonna say before u call thanks for look and ur time truck sold as is no warranty buyer responsible for shipping or any other cost of the truck  1,000 dollar non refundable deposit 24 hrs after the auction end

IIHS: High numbers of drivers treat partially automated cars as fully self-driving

Tue, Oct 11 2022

WASHINGTON — Drivers using advanced driver assistance systems like Tesla Autopilot or General Motors Super Cruise often treat their vehicles as fully self-driving despite warnings, a new study has found. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an industry funded group that prods automakers to make safer vehicles, said on Tuesday a survey found regular users of Super Cruise, Nissan/Infiniti ProPILOT Assist and Tesla Autopilot "said they were more likely to perform non-driving-related activities like eating or texting while using their partial automation systems than while driving unassisted." The IIHS study of 600 active users found 53% of Super Cruise, 42% of Autopilot and 12% of ProPILOT Assist owners "said that they were comfortable treating their vehicles as fully self-driving." About 40% of users of Autopilot and Super Cruise — two systems with lockout features for failing to pay attention — reported systems had at some point switched off while they were driving and would not reactivate. "The big-picture message here is that the early adopters of these systems still have a poor understanding of the technologyÂ’s limits," said IIHS President David Harkey. The study comes as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is scrutinizing Autopilot crashes. Since 2016, the NHTSA has opened 37 special investigations involving 18 deaths in crashes involving Tesla vehicles and where systems like Autopilot were suspected of use. Tesla did not respond to requests for comment. Tesla says Autopilot does not make vehicles autonomous and is intended for use with a fully attentive driver who is prepared to take over. GM, which in August said owners could use Super Cruise on 400,000 miles (643,740 km) of North American roads and plans to offer Super Cruise on 22 models by the end of 2023, did not immediately comment. IIHS said advertisements for Super Cruise focus on hands-free capabilities while Autopilot evokes the name used in passenger airplanes and "implies TeslaÂ’s system is more capable than it really is." IIHS in contrast noted ProPILOT Assist "suggests that itÂ’s an assistance feature, rather than a replacement for the driver." NHTSA and automakers say none of the systems make vehicles autonomous. Nissan said its name "is clearly communicating ProPILOT Assist as a system to aid the driver, and it requires hands-on operation.

Out With A Bang: Hummer dealer giving away free shotgun with every new vehicle purchase

You've heard of art imitating life? Well how about life imitating war? That's another story entirely, but not so far fetched when it comes to the Hummer. The sport-'ute that met the public eye during Operation Desert Storm has all but completely gone through its entire life cycle in the intervening years: first as a military-only vehicle, the original model became available to the public, then GM bought the rights and started churning out pickup-based H2s and H3s, the U.S. armed forces went back Iraq, the original H1 was discontinued and now GM is preparing to wind down the brand entirely. But not before one last pistol-shootin' hoorah, courtesy of the one dealership that arguably sees the truck for what it is more than any other: Lynch Hummer.
The St. Louis-area franchise made headlines last year when they started filling their emptying showroom with gun racks, selling firearms to make up for dwindling sales in the gigantic SUVs. Now the dealership is connecting the dots with a one-of-a-kind promotion: Buy a Hummer, get a free shotgun.
