2001 Hummer H1 6.5 Chevy Diesel. Super rare car thats a head Turner. 2000 is one of the choice years as it was after many cosmetic changes completed in 1997. The car has leather which is rare among H1s and is the civilian model which has more amenities. 4 speed Turbo Diesel runs great and has had all fluids changed and all service up to date including but not limited too New Starter, oil and filters, and glow plugs. New set of Goodyear Kevlar tires, that are super aggressive and cost over $2000 themselves. The CTIS works great, along with everything else in the car. Recently installed Viper Alarm system, with 2 way key system that will alert you if anything does happen to your vehicle when you arent there. The system has a LCD screen on the key with a programmable auxiliary button as well if you would like. Among H1s, amenities like this are rare. Leather is clean with no tears and is smooth. Being so rare and wanted this car gets questions comments everywhere I drive it. The car is high from the factory and has amazing ground clearance having the transmission very high up. The radiators and intake is mounted high so it can also be in water up to its waist. TOTAL ever produced over the span of about 15 years there was about 11,500 made. In 2000 there was only 1,333 produced total, making this car quite rare. A majority of these vehicles arent on the road today and are a super rare sight. The SUT is one of the most desired models as it arguably looks the best but also leaves room for plenty of upgrades and storage. The car hasnt been driven a lot with only 61xxx miles, that is super clean inside and out owned throughout its life in the Southwest.

Humvees are now exported to China by Bob Lutz and Henrik Fisker's company
Tue, May 9 2017At Auto Shanghai, a company called Humvee Export showed off its Humvee C-Series. It's not a new design, of course, as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) has been used by the American military for decades, and versions made their way into the hands of civilians through multiple means, including via General Motors as the Hummer H1. GM discontinued the H1 in 2006, and shuttered the Hummer brand in 2010. Now, Humvee Export is building the C-Series in the US, with help from none other than Bob Lutz and VLF Automotive, to sell in China, according to Car & Driver. VLF, if you recall, is the company founded by Gilbert Villarreal, Bob Lutz, and Henrik Fisker. So far, VLF has launched the Destino, using the Fisker Karma body with a supercharged LS9 V8 engine from GM, as well as the Force 1, which is essentially a Viper-based, V10-powered supercar. Humvee Export President John Costin tells C&D that his company has contracted VLF to build its new C-Series in St. Clair, Michigan. Among Humvee Export's founders is Paul Chedid, who was once the distributor for the Hummer H1 in France. AM General, which builds the HMMWV for US and other militaries, sells C-Series kits (customers need to supply their own powertrain). VLF buys kits and finishes the build, and Humvee Export works with importers around the world to sell finished versions of the C-Series, complete with powertrain, with China being the latest market. The US is out of luck, though, as it can't be certified as a replica of a 25-year-old vehicle, thus exempting it from EPA and crash test certification under the Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act. Turn Out the Lights: Final Hummer H3 rolls off the line... for Avis
Tue, 25 May 20102010 Hummer H3 - Click above for high-res image gallery
Would the last one out the door please switch off the lights? The long strange trip that has been the Hummer brand is just about over for General Motors. The final ever production H3 rolled out of GM's Shreveport, Louisiana factory on Monday May 24, 2010 on its way to an Avis rental car outlet. As you may recall, GM had actually stopped assembling H3s in mid-2009 as it went through bankruptcy, but it resumed production recently in order to fill an 849 unit special order.
GM tried to sell the Hummer brand to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co., Ltd but the deal ultimately fell apart last February. A subsequent offer from Raser Technologies also went nowhere. Now that production has ceased, 200 of the 900 remaining employees at Shreveport will be laid off by July and the rest of the Hummer staff back at headquarters in Detroit is either leaving or being reassigned.
