For Sale! Incredible Low Mileage Custom 2004 Hummer H1

18,877 original miles on this absolutely stunning Hummer H1. Incredibly rare 2004 Optimizer 6500 model year truck. Very Low production only 250 made. This year combines the best of Hummer – reliable and serviceable 6.5 Turbo model – Alpha interior and quiet drivability. It is heads and shoulders above any previous year truck in terms of comfort. This particular truck has been extensively customized and has every option a knowledgeable Hummer buyer could want. I am the 2nd owner and the vehicle is immaculate.

Driveline Upgrades:

I purchased the best wheel and tire combo that can be put on these trucks. Cepek GT Inc. Simu-beadlock’s with quick disconnect setup. These wheels are amazing and the only factory authorized aftermarket wheel. They are 18” custom fully powder coated black including the CTIS hardware with stainless bolts on the beadlock ring. These wheels allowed for 38”x 15.5” wide Toyo Open Country MTR tires. This setup is a monster, but is daily driver smooth – great wheel and tire combo. The CTIS hardware is the premier level from GT Inc that are fully isolating. The wheel set is $10,000 from Cepek. I also put on a 2” Rubber Duck Body Lift with full Alpha dressing (lifted radiator foam, and rear alpha gap panel).  This hummer also has Predator Military style beefy hood lift hooks. The truck was also fitted with remotely adjustable cepek shocks (incredible difference in ride) – full compressor with in cab remote for desired firmness. Also underneath was a Rubber Duck steering stabilizer kit. While this work was completed on the truck I had new ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman, idler arm (even though they were not worn out) –full alignment and full service. It also has a remotely mounted PMD from Blue Hummer.

Body Upgrades:

This Hummer has fully upgraded LED running lights including military style signals, tail lights, clearance lights, etc. The head lights are also LED. There is a predator over the hood D-Ring brushguard. Black predator hood scoop. Windshield light bar with 10 LED Light bars front and back of varying size including a 54” on the top bar. Tall off-set snorkel with Centri precleaner. CB whip antenna with components cleanly mounted in the overhead console. There are also black cepek fender flares which complement the upgraded wheel size perfectly. Mounted in the rear wheel well is a full train horn set with compressor – it is incredibly loud. Locking Fuel doors also mounted.

Interior Upgrades:

This Hummer has an integrated Passport 9500 ci Radar system with Front and Rear Radar/Laser Detectors and GPS tracking of radar spots. The display is cleanly integrated in the dash. There is also an electric trailer brake controller. The CB system above with Mic mounted out of the way. Marine Toggles control the LED lights. The stock speaker system is actually great so I only upgraded the head unit to a Pioneer AVICZ150BH touch screen Unit that is fantastic. Great Nav, blue tooth with mic, streaming blue tooth audio, Pandora, etc. The screen is 7”. There is also a rear camera that is hooked up to the reverse of the car. Interior also includes Lev-O-gauge and HUMMER floor mats – they are custom black and brown with yellow stitching.

Factory Options & Condition:

This Hummer includes factory winch, heated seats, power everything, CTIS, etc. Front and Rear Lockers. The truck is fantastic inside and out – it is ready to go and the pictures speak for themselves as well as the mileage. Please advise any questions on the vehicle.   photo DSC_2258_zps4f9e730a.jpg photo DSC_2256_zps7fcd0265.jpg photo DSC_2259_zps9a3c9434.jpg photo DSC_2215_zps648ab734.jpg photo DSC_2223_zps3d4bce35.jpg photo DSC_2264_zps00728a54.jpg photo f1e80ff4-5d78-4b86-9f8c-036818181603_zps7e25ac9b.jpg photo DSC_2213_zps42b8dfdd.jpg photo hummerlight2_zps3fa71a21.jpg photo hummerlight1_zpsa1b61909.jpg photo DSC_2251_zps818de556.jpg photo DSC_2260_zpsbf9bc918.jpg photo DSC_2214_zps34909dbb.jpg photo DSC_2216_zpsd8ff3924.jpg photo DSC_2218_zps78ad249c.jpg photo DSC_2219_zps795ed05e.jpg photo DSC_2220_zpseb312fd5.jpg photo DSC_2246_zps682f4c89.jpg photo DSC_2241_zps01b7d7aa.jpg photo DSC_2221_zpsda4a480a.jpg photo DSC_2222_zpsca10329d.jpg photo DSC_2245_zps96daa1eb.jpg photo DSC_2227_zps3e3161f8.jpg photo DSC_2229_zps00fddff7.jpg photo DSC_2234_zpseab454d9.jpg photo DSC_2237_zpsa9e9db65.jpg photo DSC_2238_zpse193e1cf.jpg photo DSC_2240_zps1776081d.jpg photo DSC_2249_zps71a5d910.jpg photo DSC_2250_zps44d85775.jpg photo DSC_2252_zps1878fdc7.jpg photo DSC_2261_zpsad7fe021.jpg photo DSC_2265_zpsb5f9646c.jpg photo DSC_2269_zpsc211f740.jpg photo DSC_2300_zpsd7da7d23.jpg photo DSC_2268_zps423c22f0.jpg photo DSC_2274_zpsa4a17d33.jpg photo DSC_2275_zps6f9631a8.jpg photo DSC_2276_zps77629168.jpg photo DSC_2302_zpsb4eb4045.jpg photo DSC_2305_zps9ffcb45a.jpg photo DSC_2278_zps7d44cbef.jpg photo DSC_2266_zpsb135ee62.jpg photo DSC_2267_zps067c7fc0.jpg photo DSC_2271_zps989ff799.jpg photo DSC_2272_zpsf56df92f.jpg photo DSC_2279_zps752f2e79.jpg photo DSC_2280_zps07b7f98a.jpg photo DSC_2282_zps50c66fde.jpg photo DSC_2283_zps22936867.jpg photo DSC_2286_zps896578da.jpg photo DSC_2288_zpsb0755b87.jpg photo DSC_2289_zps424d9edc.jpg photo DSC_2291_zps0721d025.jpg photo DSC_2298_zps8c5188b2.jpg photo DSC_2293_zps0be23009.jpg photo DSC_2307_zps89b065e6.jpg photo DSC_2308_zps6f9ed40b.jpg photo DSC_2309_zps6d1da2f8.jpg photo DSC_2310_zpsbb1b925f.jpg photo DSC_2311_zps9628d43e.jpg photo DSC_2313_zps606ed762.jpg photo DSC_2314_zps42c1362e.jpg photo DSC_2233_zps200872f3.jpg photo DSC_2232_zps73d7401f.jpg photo DSC_2235_zpsfe8b1c70.jpg photo DSC_2244_zps9107c2ac.jpg photo DSC_2254_zps07e533e5.jpg photo DSC_2231_zpsb15aadf7.jpg photo DSC_2255_zps01a34f61.jpg photo DSC_2312_zps93b53d9f.jpg photo DSC_2243_zpsb9d95bd3.jpg photo DSC_2263_zpsccadb759.jpg photo DSC_2262_zps4dcaf748.jpg

Hot Wheels' 2022 Green Speed cars bring EVs to small scale

Sun, Apr 24 2022

With more and more EVs hitting the market, it was only a matter of time before the new breed of cars would find representation in diecast form. For 2022, Hot Wheels is coming out with a new Green Speed series that puts the spotlight on a diverse lineup of electric cars. The five-car series features a fun mix of EVs from different manufacturers and in a wide range of styles. Some are completely bone stock. For a traditional luxury sedan, there's a Lucid Air in silver, complete with glass (or in this case, clear plastic) canopy. For fans of Teutonic 4-door "coupes" there's the Audi RS e-Tron GT in Daytona Gray. Ticking the truck box is a Hummer EV in a yellow that can only be described as a throwback to the H3. But because this is Hot Wheels, there are "hot-rodded" variants in the lineup as well. Rather than just a regular Nissan Leaf, they've elected to cast the carbon fiber-bodied NISMO RC 2.0 race car. Likewise with Ford, instead of the standard Mustang Mach-E, they've gone with the Mustang Mach-E 1400 drift car. This isn't the first time Hot Wheels has put out a Green Speed series. The line debuted in 2016 but reflected the limited EV choices in the real car market at the time. The only non-fantasy cars in the series were a first-gen Tesla Roadster, a Tesla Model S, and Chevy Volt. Hot Wheels revisited the line again in 2019, this time adding a Tesla Model 3 and a Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo. Hot Wheels also makes other mini EVs that don't fall into this specific line of models. If you want to collect 'em all, there's the second-generation Tesla Roadster concept, Cybertruck, Jaguar I-Pace, Pininfarina Battista, Porsche Taycan, and a Volkswagen ID R. Similarly, Matchbox has released a version of the Tesla Roadster with sustainable packaging to boot. If you must have an old school gasoline burner, Hot Wheels has plenty of options for you too, like, say, this snazzy FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser. The 2022 Hot Wheels Green Speed series should be on shelves at your local retailers now. Related Video:

What the electric Hummer's size and weight means for its efficiency

Sat, Dec 3 2022

The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1. Tim Levin/Insider If you think driving a pint-sized Nissan Leaf is as good for the planet as driving a huge electric Hummer, think again.  The GMC Hummer EV uses significantly more electricity than other EVs, meaning it produces more pollution upstream.  The electric Hummer weighs 9,000 pounds and its battery weighs as much as a Honda Civic. The new electric Hummer rolls through town without a deafening engine rumble or a cloud of toxic fumes, but it doesn't exactly tread lightly.  The colossal truck weighs an astonishing 9,000 pounds. (Think two Toyota Tacomas, three Honda Civics, or 24 Shaquille O'Neals.) Moreover, the GMC Hummer EV is in many ways a supersized gas guzzler for a new era. It repackages many of the same flaws of hulking SUVs and trucks of years past — and proves not all zero-emission cars are created equal. EVs can be energy guzzlers too On the whole, electric cars use less energy than gas-powered ones. But they aren't all equally efficient.  No surprise here: The Hummer needs more electricity than any other EV on the market to move its elephantine frame. The Environmental Protection Agency rates the pickup at 47 MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent). For comparison, the Tesla Model 3 sedan is nearly three times as efficient, earning a rating of 132 MPGe. The Ford F-150 Lightning, another electric truck, gets 70 MPGe.  This has real consequences: Since the US gets 61% of its energy from oil, coal, and natural gas, the more electricity a car needs, the more pollution it creates upstream.  As the Union of Concerned Scientists put it: "Both EV cars and trucks are much cleaner than their gasoline counterparts, but electric trucks are responsible for more global warming emissions than electric cars simply because trucks are larger and heavier."  The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1. Tim Levin/Insider The Hummer EV is also resource-intensive to manufacture, requiring a ginormous (and weighty) battery to give people the 300-plus miles of range they desire. You could produce three Chevrolet Bolts with the same battery cells consumed by one Hummer.

Big electric trucks won't save the planet, says the NYT

Tue, Feb 21 2023

When The New York Times decides that an issue is an issue, be prepared to read about it at length. Rarely will a week passes these days when the esteemed news organization doesn’t examine the realities, myths and alleged benefits and drawbacks of electric vehicles, and even The Atlantic joins in sometimes. That revolution, marked by changes in manufacturing, consumer habits and social “consciousness,” may in fact be upon us. Or it may not. Nonetheless, the newspaper appears committed to presenting to the public these pros and cons. In this recently published article titled, “Just How Good for the Planet Is That Big Electric Pickup Truck?”—wow, thatÂ’s a mouthful — the Times focuses on the “bigness” of the current and pending crop of EVs, and how that impacts or will impact the environment and road safety. This is not what news organizations these days are fond of calling “breaking news.” In October, we pointed to an essay in The Atlantic that covered pretty much the same ground, and focused on the Hummer as one particular villain, In the paper and online on Feb. 18, the Times' Elana Shao observes how “swapping a gas pickup truck for a similar electric one can produce significant emissions savings.” She goes on: “Take the Ford F-150 pickup truck compared with the electric F-150 Lightning. The electric versions are responsible for up to 50 percent less greenhouse gas emissions per mile.” But she right away flips the argument, noting the heavier electric pickup trucks “often require bigger batteries and more electricity to charge, so they end up being responsible for more emissions than other smaller EVs. Taking into consideration the life cycle emissions per mile, they end up just as polluting as some smaller gas-burning cars.” Certainly, itÂ’s been drummed into our heads that electric cars donÂ’t run on air and water but on electricity that costs money, and that the public will be dealing with “the shift toward electric SUVs, pickup trucks and crossover vehicles, with some analysts estimating that SUVs, pickup trucks and vans could make up 78 percent of vehicle sales by 2025." No-brainer alert: Big vehicles cost more to charge. And then thereÂ’s the safety question, which was cogently addressed in the Atlantic story. Here Shao reiterates data documenting the increased risks of injuries and deaths caused by larger, heavier vehicles.
