Thanks for looking! Lantern Motors is offering for the first time its 1997 AM General Hummer H1 Parade vehicle. This is a very desirable open top version.
This vehicle is equipped with a 6.5L Turbo Diesel v8 engine that produces a responsive 195hp @3400 rpms delivering 430 ft lbs of torque that performs as it should. It has a 4 speed automatic transmission and the 4-wheel drive works to its expectations. The 22.5 inch semi wheels gives it the stout look it deserves and the 43" tires look awesome!! Because of their size however, they do rub slightly on sharp turns. This problem can be fixed by reducing size or width of the tires, but we have chose to deal with the problem to achieve the look we desired.
The mileage is only 35,937 however shows exempt on the title due to its year. We have used this vehicle only in parades, shows, and display. The lettering can easily be removed upon request after purchase. It is equipped with red lights Off-Road wench, brush guards, Rhino lining and much much more! The brilliant red paint is in near perfect condition. The complementary black leather interior sets the red exterior off!! The seats are black leather and vinyl with red stitching. All other panels have been dyed to match the seats are custom hi back leather. The sound system in the truck is amazing!! Touch screen dvd, tv, navi. One kicker amp for the two 500 watt kickers for mids and highs. Phoenix Gold sub woofer. The box that houses all these components was custom built to optimize sound performance. It also has 2 kicker speakers mounted the rear roll bar. Its a rolling music box. Lots of money spent on this Hummer to make it sound and look awesome!! If your looking for a custom H1 buy with confidence!! Don't be mistaken by its sharp appearance, this is a mean Off-Road vehicle that is not to be taken lightly.
This H1 has just been serviced, oil change, brakes, calipers, and rotors. Very road worthy but because of the size of the tires I wouldn't drive it on the freeways. I have over $50,000 invested in our parade vehicle, my loss your gain. Open to offers!! Just call!

Hummer H2 burns to a crisp; now the owner won't need the hoarded gas

Fri, May 14 2021

Here's your daily Autoblog public service announcement: Don't hoard gasoline, but if you do, absolutely do not let 20 gallons of it catch fire inside your 2004 Hummer H2. You might end up, as a Florida owner learned the hard way, with a very crispy Hummer. According to CBS affiliate WABI, in Citrus County Fire Rescue was called out to the scene at a Homosassa, Florida, Texaco station yesterday morning. The Hummer owner had just filled four five-gallon jerry cans' worth of fuel and placed them in the back of the vehicle. It's not clear what started the fire, but when emergency crews arrived the SUV was already, as the kids say, fire. The vehicle was a total loss. Photos show it completely singed and missing the hood and windows. One fender sat forlornly on the ground nearby. One injury was reported, but the individual refused to be taken to the hospital. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection was called in to handle the fuel cleanup. There's been a run on gasoline across the eastern seaboard due to a shortage caused by Colonial Pipeline, one of the major refined petroleum pipelines on the East Coast. Due to lax cybersecurity measures, the company fell victim to a ransomware attack, which shut down its operations over the weekend. Hackers based in Russia demanded a payout of $5 million to release control of Colonial Pipeline's computer systems, and Colonial paid up and has since resumed operations. Between fires, fights and admonitions by politicians not to hoard — probably one of the few things Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and President Joe Biden agree on — that's probably good advice to follow. Gas stations should be resupplied in many affected areas within days. In Tampa, Florida, a third of the city's gas stations were out of fuel on Thursday. In Miami, outages stood at nearly 40% and growing as residents rapidly filled up their tanks. The outages would make sense if the largest U.S. gasoline pipeline served those cities. But it does not. South Florida is seeing the worst outages among areas not directly impacted by the line closure. "If you want a perfect case for where hoarding has made the situation what it is, that's southern Florida," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "They should not be having any issues at all - they get gasoline from a barge." Statewide, about a third of gas stations are out of product, according to GasBuddy.

GMC Hummer EV will be unveiled during the World Series and 'The Voice'

Wed, Oct 7 2020

A big-time vehicle reveal deserves a prime-time multi-platform debut. At least, that seems to be the opinion of the folks tasked with reintroducing the American public on October 20 to the Hummer nameplate, this time affixed to pickups and SUVs that also wear General Motors' "Professional Grade" GMC badge. And instead of a standalone brand with dealerships full of gas-guzzling off-road beasts, this new, kinder, gentler and fully electric Hummer won't sip any gas at all. The debut will take place across several channels. As has been the de facto process during the pandemic, the event will be streamed online. But — taking a page from the reveal of the Ford Bronco this past July — it will also be witnessed by watchers of the World Series on Fox and "The Voice" on NBC (at least those who are watching live and aren't skipping commercials). Interestingly, according to The Detroit News the television segments will be spread across multiple commercial breaks as sort of a mini film. Naturally, we'll be covering the unveiling live right here on Autoblog, and we'd argue that's the best place to see it all unfold (we admit we may be biased). In any case, no matter where you watch you'll be treated to a host of details about what GMC is calling "the worldÂ’s first super truck." We know it'll boast 1,000 horsepower, go from 0-60 in around 3 seconds, have the next generation of GM's Super Cruise autonomy technology, have removable roof panels and be able to crab walk. Sounds pretty super to us, and we're looking forward to the full reveal in just a couple of weeks. See you then. Related Video:
