To my, I'm sure, greatest inevitable regret I have decided to sell my 2005 Honda S2000. I fell in love with this car the first time I saw one in the year 2000 and it’s been my greatest pleasure to own this car for the past 5 years. The fact that you’re reading this alludes to your knowledge of what an amazing vehicle this is. The Honda S2000 is an enthusiast's car, known for its handling, high revving acceleration, and responsive shifting. I have yet to drive a car that shifts as quick and as smooth as the S2000. Personally I think the 2005 is the best looking year. I love the wheel style on the 2005 compared to the other years.

The 2005 have a power-operated convertible top with a glass rear window (with defroster), lightweight 17-inch wheels, leather seats, keyless entry, air conditioning, a digital instrument panel, a CD audio system and HID headlights. The Honda S2000 is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder that makes 237 horsepower. Power is routed to the rear wheels though a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission.

This car overall is in excellent shape. The paint is good and the convertible top is like new (no rips or tears). It has NEVER been in any kind of car accident. Never smoked in. The car drives amazingly - shifts precisely and quick, revs fast and smoothly, and handles like a go-cart. The convertible top works perfectly. Extremely easy to unlock & lock, goes up or down in about 10 seconds. When the top is up it is water tight and surprisingly quiet.

I am the second owner of this car, purchased in February 2008. I bought it from a dealership in Boise, Idaho – Traded in by another reluctant seller who came into some money and bought a Corvette instead. I purchased it with only 12,000 miles. In the five years I've owned this car, I've added only 30,500 miles, or about 6,100/yr. The trunk is surprisingly large, and if you pack correctly, you could actually fit 2 golf bags back there. The interior has plenty of legroom for people over 6ft tall. I’m 6’3” and I fit comfortably.

The car is completely stock. I've never raced, modified or beat/abused this car. It’s always been garaged. The battery is brand new. Front tires are 8 months old. Rear tires are 1.5 years old. Breaks are 3 months old. I’ve never had a problem with this car. I’ve changed the oil regularly with full synthetic (latest oil change was last week) When I’ve kept track the combined gas mileage ranged from 18mpg – 28mpg, all depends on how you drive it.

Honestly I would never sell this car if I didn’t need to. You won’t be disappointed to own this car. Probably my favorite part of owning it is the fact that people (common non-car-enthusiast folks) have no idea what it is. Compliments abound when driving this car. Sigh… makes me sad just talking about parting with lovely S2000 it but my loss is your gain.

Also included is the OEM Tonneau cover for the convertible top when it's open, and an aftermarket car cover that I purchased for the car while it was in the garage for longer periods of time. I have both sets of car keys and remote fobs. Plus I have the Valet parking key. More pictures can be taken upon request. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email. I can give you my phone number if you want to talk in more detail.

Honda NM4 concept motorcycles channel Akira

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Honda has rolled out a pair of new motorcycle concepts at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home market of Japan, and they're our first glimpse at the company's "neo-futuristic" NM4. Shown in both stealthy black and an eye-catching white, the NM4s are sharp creations that feature interesting riding positions.
Honda calls the concepts' seating "the cockpit position," claiming that it unifies bike with rider. We don't know about that, but we will admit that compared to most sportbike seats - which are more or less just bits of padding to squeeze between your legs - these bikes' saddles look more or less like conventional seats. Honda says that their backrests are adjustable, which should provide a comfortable riding experience. Still, with these bikes' sporting looks, we can't imagine their low seats are going to be great for dipping knees through the bends (although the should lower the center of gravity, so perhaps it's a wash).
Both show bikes, NM4-01 and NM4-02, are powered by 745-cc, two-cylinder engines, while dual-clutch transmissions are employed to dispatch unspecified amounts of power to their wide rear tires. The bikes are nearly identical save for different colors, but the NM4-02 features an integral set of hard panniers for increased utility. We've got a gallery of both, so hop up above and take a look. You can also scroll down for a brief press release from Honda.

Honda to import Euro market Civic hatch to America

Thu, Mar 19 2015

If you look at the Civic sedan Honda offers in America and look longingly at the hatchback version it sells in Europe, we've got good news. The latest word has it that the Japanese automaker will start offering the Euro-spec hatch in North America. The reason, however, may surprise you. According to Nikkei Asian Review, Honda wants to start selling the Civic hatchback in America less because it thinks that's the model Americans want, and more because it has excess capacity at its plant in the UK. Bringing it to the US would also give Honda an entry against the Volkswagen Golf and other competitors. Honda's plant in Swindon, England, is its sole assembly location in Europe, where the company's market share has dropped to a reported one percent. That doesn't mean Honda is giving up on the European market and its strong currencies, but with models like the HR-V to be manufactured in Mexico and the new Fit/Jazz to be imported from Japan, the Swindon plant doesn't have enough vehicles to produce to make use of its annual capacity of 250,000 vehicles. Producing 30,000-40,000 Civic hatchbacks each year for North America would help pick up some of the slack, but not all of it. It would also only represent a small fraction of the number of Civic sedans Honda moves here. Last year Honda sold over 325,000 Civics in America and over 336,000 the year before, making the Civic its second- or third-most popular model here after the Accord and closely positioned with the CR-V crossover. The reported number of Civic hatchbacks it would sell here wouldn't even keep up with the smaller Fit, but would far overshadow the CR-Z hybrid hatchback. The bigger question that performance enthusiasts will be asking is: What does this mean for the prospects of getting the new Type R hot hatch over here? Revealed in production form at the Geneva show earlier this month, the new Civic Type R is based on the European hatchback in question. Prior to the emergence of this report, the official line was that we wouldn't get the new performance model because its bodystyle isn't offered here altogether, and that our version would more likely be based on the sedan. If the five-door model makes its way here, though, we can't help but wonder if the Type R might not follow close behind. Reached for comment, Honda's US office didn't have anything official to add, but we'll be watching this development closely to see how it plays out. Related Video:
