2003 Honda S2000 Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Dayton, New Jersey, United States
Hey all. So I'm finally putting my S2000 up for sale. It's wrapped in matte white using the high end 3M vinyl wrap done professionally and it looks amazing. Underneath the wrap it's the rare Suzuka blue paint with the blue leather interior, this is a very rare combination to find. Besides the wrap the only modifications to the car are the titanium NRG shift knob and the custom built sub and amp (doesn't take up any space) and upgraded sound system which is very nice to have since you can stream music directly through the bluetooth on your phone and you can take phone calls through the audio. It's very convenient. Also the windows are tinted, it was done at the same shop that did the wrap for me. These are the very high end tints that go all the way to edge of the window and don't show a line.
It has very low miles only 84k miles and is in excellent practically mint condition,. Clean title in hand, no liens and no issues. I'm not sure if the vehicle report even shows this but the car has had one very minor accident previously but it was just a small fender bender nothing big at all. Even if the report doesn't show it I wanted to mention this for the buyers peace of mind. The motor is solid and runs as it should, the transmission shifts smooth and easily, the soft top has the glass with the defroster and it's a new top so there are no tears and it doesn't leak at all. There is a viper alarm system installed to the car. OEM front lip and HID headlights. Everything in this car works as it should and there is not a single issue with it. Oil changed with synthetic oil regularly and on time every 5k miles. Just for my piece of mind I had a Honda tech at the dealership check out the whole car and he couldn't find a single issue, no burning oil nothing at all. For the right price I'll also throw in a second set of wheels I have. AP2 V2 wheels with almost new tires. I'm in no rush to sell this beauty so please don't give me any low ball offers I do still love the car but I could really use the money elsewhere. Feel free to text or call me with any questions or offers 973-954-0982. Also I prefer to deal with the buyer in person so I would rather this be a local sale. If it does get sold to a buyer who will be having this shipped then the shipping is on you to pay for and arrange, and I will require full payment before it gets shipped and enough time for the bank to clear the funds. Thanks for looking and good luck! |

McLaren pondering Honda-powered 911 killer?
Tue, 21 May 2013As one of the premier sports cars in the world, the Porsche 911 is always driving around with a target on its rear-engined backside. If a new report is to be believed, the latest automaker with plans to build a 911-fighting sports coupe could be McLaren. Motor Trend is reporting that the recent news that Honda and McLaren are teaming up to build Formula One racecars could bear road-going fruit as well.
According to the article, the unnamed entry-level McLaren coupe may be powered by a Honda-sourced engine, but a detuned version of the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C is said to be more likely. All in, though, there is no solid information on the car just yet. As a reminder, M/T points out that the last time McLaren partnered up with a mainstream automaker, the world was introduced to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
Honda spending $13.8 million on hydrogen infrastructure with FirstElement
Thu, Nov 20 2014Honda is partnering with FirstElement Fuel to increase the number of hydrogen refueling stations in California. The two have signed a letter of intent to provide $13.8 of financial assistance that, with some state money, could let FirstElement build "at least 12 stations." This is the second OEM that FirstElement is working with to install H2 stations in California. It signed a deal worth an unspecified amount with Toyota to help build 19 stations. State officials in California have said they are willing to spend $100 million to $200 million to build 100 hydrogen stations in the next few years. Honda says that FirstElement could build "at least 31" or them thanks to automaker and government investment. At some point after March 2016, when its new fuel cell car will go on sale in Japan, Honda will start selling the production version of the FCEV in the US. Honda hasn't disclosed a price, but the fuel cell stack has a power density of 3.1kW/L and a range of 300 miles, combined with a refueling time of three to five minutes. The vehicle is Honda's next step to its target of a 30-percent reduction (based on 2000 levels) in CO2 emissions by 2020 from its US vehicles. Earlier this year, FirstElement said that it expects hydrogen stations to become profitable in about five years. Honda Supporting Growth of California Hydrogen Network with Financial Support to FirstElement Fuel Nov 19, 2014 - TORRANCE, Calif. Honda contribution of $13.8 million will further expand and accelerate the network of public hydrogen refueling stations Funding could enable FirstElement to add at least 12 stations to its California hydrogen network Seeking to expand California's public hydrogen refueling station network as a means to support the wider introduction of fuel-cell vehicles, Honda will provide $13.8 million in financial assistance to FirstElement Fuel to build additional hydrogen refueling stations around the state. Additional state grants, combined with the Honda financing, could enable FirstElement to add at least 12 stations to its California hydrogen network. "FirstElement Fuel is providing a vital piece of what is needed for a successful launch of fuel-cell vehicles," said Steven Center, vice president of Honda's Environmental Business Development Office.
Wagon Attack's crappy Civic Wagon meets its end in Iceland
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Several years ago, we posted a video on a dumpy, all-wheel-drive, turbocharged Honda Civic Wagon that starred in a film called Wagon Attack II. The video showed the rusty, red five-door tackling terrain that no Civic has any business driving on, and doing it with flair and style.
Now, the team that produced the original video are back, with Wagon Attack III. The latest video is packed full of goodness for wagon lovers of any stripe. Where the last video saw the turbocharged wagon in Michigan, though, this time it's been shipped to Iceland, where it's flung about on the beaches and dirt roads of the volcanic island.
The video has a bit of a sad ending, though. You'll need to watch it and see what we mean. We've got the entire video down below. Take a look.
