We are now selling my wifes much loved 2003 Honda S-2000. I purchased this car new from the dealer as a birthday gift and now she has decided its time to part with it. Car has always been garaged. This car shows like brand new, the convertable top is as clean and tight as the day we purchased it. It has never been wrecked or damaged, never raced.
This car is the last model year that features Hondas high-reving 9000 rpm DOHC, V-TEC 2.0 liter engine. Under 5300 rpm its a mild mannered street cruiser...but hold your foot down and wind up the rpms as you shift through the close-ratio 6 speed gear box and you will discover why BBC's Top Gear rated this car as their #1 pick for 2003. Hondas racing heritage and commitment to quailty are evident in every aspect of this car. The rigid chassis design provides exceptional ride quality and sure-footed grip when cornering...and is rear wheel drive as all sport coupes should be.
If you find yourself craving some top-down fun for those summer outings, consider the extreme low miles and low price of this beauty. You will not find a better convertable new OR used on the market. Please, serious buyers only...no trades will be considered. If you have questions or want more pictures or just need to know more, contact Dale at 541-218-7078 or email me at bennyscribno1@msn.com. This was a California car and now resides in southern Oregon...so there is zero rust.

US Honda Civic to get Type R engine
Mon, Dec 15 2014Honda is bent on kicking butt and taking names with its upcoming new Civic Type R, but since the Japanese hot hatch is based on the European model and isn't slated to come to the United States, it's been of little consolation to American enthusiasts. But if you're one of them, we've got good news for you. According to Spanish site Motor Y Racing, a US version of the Civic Type R is in the works. The salient part of the Type R that would make the oceanic voyage to US showrooms would be the 2.0-liter turbo four that's said to produce between 276 and 320 horsepower, but we could expect upgraded suspension, rolling stock and other equipment to come as part of the package as well. Just what form it would take we don't know. Currently American Honda offers the Civic as a coupe or sedan - not as a hatchback or wagon like it does overseas - so chances are that it'd be one of these betrunked body-styles that would get the upgrades. We're hoping for something more than an upgrade of the current Civic Si. Competing rumors suggest that Honda could offer that same engine in a revised version of the CR-Z hybrid hatchback, which has long been begging for a more potent powerplant. But that's not to say that Honda couldn't offer both with the new turbo VTEC engine. Having driven prototypes for more performance-oriented versions of both the Civic and the CR-Z at Honda's R&D center in Japan a little over a year ago, this writer could tell you that either prospect bodes well for the return of the red H badge to the high-performance arena.
2014 Honda Accord Hybrid [w/video]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Delivering On Promises
The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid should surprise no one. Its look is something we've seen since the non-hybrid versions went on sale last year. Its powertrain, mostly, we are familiar with from the already-on-sale Accord Plug-In model. And the overall vibe of the car? Well, it's an Accord, which has been a strong seller in the US for three decades, so much so that there's a very good chance you've been in one at some point, whether you noticed or not.
Honda's first attempt at an Accord Hybrid, released in 2005, put dynamic performance first, but it didn't match the public's maturing perception of what a hybrid is all about: fuel economy. The 2005 version was capable of a measly 28 miles per gallon combined, 25 in the city and 33 on the highway. Remember those numbers, and that the first-generation Accord Hybrid lasted all of three model years before being axed.
Automakers teaming with Google to bring Android to cars this year
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Remember how we mentioned that Hyundai would be offering a BlueLink infotainment app for Google Glass? And how last week, we told you about a rumored partnership between Audi and Google? Well, both of these things were just part of a much bigger deal.
Google has teamed up with Audi, General Motors, Hyundai and Honda to form the Open Automotive Alliance. With the help of chipmaker NVIDIA, the group aims to bring Google's Android operating system to the auto industry on a large scale. While the speed with which Android will be adopted by the industry remains unclear - the OAA's own press release says "timing for each automaker will vary" - we could see the first Android-equipped vehicle by year's end.
For those that keep their ear to the ground in the automotive tech world, this is a big deal for more than just one reason - Honda, GM and Hyundai are all partners in the Siri Eyes Free program from Apple. The future of that relationship now that three of its automakers are in bed with Apple's arch-rival, though, could be under threat.
