This is a very original S2000 that has been owned by the over 50 crowd since new. I purchased this car from the original owner here locally that I know. He purchased it for his wife she used it for local driving and to and from the tennis courts and golf club. The car has lived its entire life in the garage. When I heard it was for sale I called him and told him I wanted it and bought it sight unseen. He takes excellent care of his cars and has a number of high dollar cars, I have had the car for three years and purcdhased it for  a convertible to have for the weekends. The mileage when I purchaed it was 38666, so you can see it was a nice weekend driver only. Please look at my feedback as a seller on EBAY and you will see I have sold a number of nice highend collector cars and enjoy a perfect feedback. I will call the cars condition very close and would ecpect you to feel comfortable with the description that I will provide. Please ask for additional infromation or pictures if you have any questions.

The car is basically perfect mechanically and drives and rides as new in my opinion. I am a lover of American cars and muscle cars and it hurts to say this but this Honda is as close to a perfect driving car as I have ever driven. I describe it as like wearing the car like a glove. There are no rattles and the car handles like it would have new. The Paint is 10 years oldbut still shines like it should. There are the expected rock chips that 42000 miles will provide and the asphault roads we have seem to give you! There were several golf ball dents when I bought it and I had them removed by a dent guy. There is no body damage or any body work on the car. There are several small (too small for a picture) scratches on the sides and you have to look for them. There is a scratch on the rear bumper where it looks like a golf bag scratched it. The tires were new at 37,000 miles. The car spent its life with the top down and a parade cover on the car, there fore I found a thin spot on the top where the latch had rubbed and I placed a patch on the area. The area was about 1/2 inch long and I have provided a picture of the area patched. The glass is perfect as is the glass rear window with electric defrost.  All guages work as they should and I had the original radio changed out with a new Pioneer with Blue Tooth and a remote. The original radio comes with the car.

The car overallis excellent with the above items noted. I have a very good friend who ownesa performance shop in San Antonio and they have several customers who use the 2.0 in road racing in Acura's and as he told me this is one of the toughest engines made. He has provided inspections on the car for me and again all this car has ever required is oil changes.

My decision to sell the car is only due to my purchase of a 67 Camaro Convertable that was built for the Hot Rod Power Tour and as I said above I have a true love for old American Muscle even if it has been upgraded! LOL

The car will come with the following:

Parade Boot

Original Radio/CD

California Car Cover

Original Books

Honda shows us 'The Challenging Spirit of Honda'... in Japanese

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Just as Porsche has done with its lengthy Le Mans gear-up, Honda is is laying the table for its Formula One return more than a year before we'll actually see it on track. We've heard what it's 2015 engine will sound like, reminisced with the 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 and the 1964 Honda RA271 and spoken to the company's CEO about what F1 involvement could do for its production car engines.
The automaker has now released a video called The Challenging Spirit of Honda that traces the development of its in-house F1 program and the jump from motorcycles to the first RA270 F1 chassis in 1962, to the RA272 chassis that won the 1965 Grand Prix. The only catch: the video is in Japanese. However, you can read about the winning car in English, and the video ends with another sound check of the 2015 power unit. That is a universal language, and you'll find it being spoken below.

See the evolution of McLaren F1 cars in one GIF

Wed, Apr 26 2017

If you dig racecars and history, you'll enjoy the .gif file on display below. It comes to us from the folks at automotive parts website PartCatalog.com, and it shows how McLaren's Formula 1 cars have changed from the very first one to this season's black and orange Honda-powered machine. And they have certainly changed. That very first car had scarcely an aerodynamic aid to the radically winged racer of today. It's also interesting to see how driver positioning has changed over the years. Through the '70s and '80s, the driver was pushed farther and farther to the front. Then in the '90s and '00s, the driver started to be pushed back to the middle, and longer noses became common. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This .gif file isn't just interesting for seeing how the cars have changed, though. It also features some of the most famous F1 cars of all time. Fans of vintage F1 racing and of the film Rush may recognize the McLaren M23 James Hunt piloted to a championship victory over rival Nicki Lauda in 1976. There's also the 1985 McLaren MP4/2B that was the last McLaren Nicki Lauda would drive, and the car that would take Alain Prost to a championship. Prost's rival Ayrton Senna also has a car in this .gif, and that's the 1988 Honda-powered car he drove to his first ever championship. There are many other cars in this .gif we don't have time to cover though, but you can learn more about them and the cars we mentioned by checking out McLaren's great history page. Each car there has a brief profile covering the stats, and lengthier articles with more background. It's a great way to spend a morning. Related Video:
