Here for auction is my 2002 Honda S2000. It has 106,550 miles. The top has a small tear ( see pic ). The body is totally rust free. There is a ding or two and some small scratches. It has Continental D/W performance tires at roughly 80% tread remaining. Real nice rims...not sure what kind. I put a nice stereo in it. It has 3 sets of jl audio super tweeters, 4- 6.5 jl audio drivers and what looks like 1 pair of 6x9's in the deck. Also, jl audio 12" sub. A jl audio amp runs the sub and an off brand runs the 6's / tweeters. The amps are mounted on the sub box and were designed to be quick disconnect for track days. 3 quick harneses pull apart and the sub box comes out. The 6x9's are still wired into the receiver so you can listen to " track" broadcasts. The stereo "rocks" trust me. The sub volume is controlled with a line level under the dash.

Ok...now about the mechanicals. This is a AP1 2.0 liter engine. If you are reading this then you prolly know what it's all about. Anyhow, this is the highest horsepower per liter naturally aspirated engine ever produced. Redline is 9,000 rpm. The cam profile shifts "attitude" at 6,000 rpm. V-tech. Some are concerned with the "lack of torque" in the lower rpm's...this has been rectified in this car with a lightened flywheel / performance clutch and Mugen header / exhaust. She revs very fast through the full rpm range. I beat my Magnum R/T 5.7 liter hemi from 0-80 with this car by a car and a half...after that the Maggies horses pulled ahead. The car is pretty loud, I do have a silencer that will go with the sale. Click here for the video on a tunnel run if you would like to hear how it sounds...

Anyhow, The car handling is absolutely phenomenal. You will be please with the purchase.

If you are not interested in the stereo, I could remove it and write the winner of the auction a check for $1,000 or cash.

Please call with any questions...thanks...steve 330-465-4565

Honda is first Japanese carmaker to be a net-exporter from US

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Over the last decade or so, many foreign automakers have challenged the idea of what defines an "American car," but Honda took things a step further last year by exporting more cars out of the US than it imported in. Reuters is reporting that in 2013, a total of 108,705 Honda and Acura models were exported from the US with only 88,357 being shipped in. This gives Honda a net exporter status here, and makes it the first of such among the major Japanese automakers.
Honda's US imports have been dropping over the last five years while its exports have been steadily increasing. In 2008, the report indicates that Honda shipped 187,000 vehicles to the US and exported only 20,000, and even by 2012 Honda still favored imports with 136,000 imports and 74,000 exports. The article says that US-made Honda and Acura vehicles were exported to 50 countries with most ending up in Mexico, but the big news is that the Honda's US production set a record in 2013 with 1.3 million units built.

Honda Urban SUV Concept leaks out ahead of Detroit debut

Sun, 13 Jan 2013

Next up on the 2013 Detroit Auto Show embargo-break-a-palooza: the Honda Urban SUV Concept. Thanks to Indian Autos Blog, we now have the first press shots of the small crossover concept - a vehicle that will someday make it to production, riding on the Honda Fit platform.
It may have some big features - namely, the large headlamps, big wheels, and bold body lines - but the Urban SUV Concept will compete with smaller vehicles like the Nissan Juke or Fiat 500L. Indian Autos Blog reports that both 1.6- an 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines are being speculated for use in the production model, as well as a diesel powerplant for foreign markets.
That's all we know for now, but stay tuned to see the full smattering of official images and details as part of this week's Detroit coverage.

2014 Honda Odyssey revamp only costs an extra $150*

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

Honda has released pricing on its 2014 Odyssey. Buyers can take home the revamped minivan for $28,825 (excluding an $830 destination fee). That price marks a $150 increase over the 2013 model, but that extra Benjamin and a half buys you a whole slate of updates. Those include a new six-speed automatic transmission in all trims, revised exterior styling and a few tweaks to the instrument cluster and dash controls. Honda's familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine provides 248 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, and the new gearbox helps the van return 19 miles per gallon city and 28 mpg highway.
Of course, those who opt for the top-shelf $44,450* Touring Elite trim will get to play with the new HondaVac vacuum cleaner system. The handheld vac is built into the van's rear cargo area and recharges using the onboard 12-volt electrical system. The little vacuum features a removable debris canister as well as a replaceable filter bag and can run for eight minutes between charges. Check out the full press release below for more information.
