2002 Honda S2000 37k Mi. on 2040-cars
Grants Pass, Oregon, United States
I have owned this fantastic car for over 5 years. It has only required scheduled maintenance and a set of tires. The Kelly Blue Book Customer Sat is 9.7. One of the highest. The car has actually increased in value and continues to increase. It has always been garaged. Everything works, A/C, Radio, Power Windows Doors/ Trunk, etc. Never had a accident or door dings. The 240 HP 4 Cyl revs to 6000 RPM then an extra lobe on the cam kicks in like a turbo and it zips all the way to the 9000 RPM Red Line. I have owned Porsche's, BMW's, RX8 and even a Mustang and the car has "FUN FACTOR" above them all. The reason for selling is that I owned a 1972 BMW 3.0 CS and put over 100k miles on it back in the day. It was by far the best car I have ever owned and I want buy a BMW Z4 to see if it will be even better than my 3.0 CS. Besides it's time to let someone else enjoy this S2000 with the glass rear window and 0-60 performance of 5.6 seconds. Honda's S2000 roadster provides an excellent alternative to the Audi TT, BMW Z3, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche Boxster. Out of that group, the S2000 is the most performance-oriented. It's not as apt at city use, nor does it have the prestige that comes with owning a car emblazoned with a German marque. But for a visceral (and less-expensive) driving experience, the S2000 is the car to get. Wagon Attack's crappy Civic Wagon meets its end in Iceland
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Several years ago, we posted a video on a dumpy, all-wheel-drive, turbocharged Honda Civic Wagon that starred in a film called Wagon Attack II. The video showed the rusty, red five-door tackling terrain that no Civic has any business driving on, and doing it with flair and style.
Now, the team that produced the original video are back, with Wagon Attack III. The latest video is packed full of goodness for wagon lovers of any stripe. Where the last video saw the turbocharged wagon in Michigan, though, this time it's been shipped to Iceland, where it's flung about on the beaches and dirt roads of the volcanic island.
The video has a bit of a sad ending, though. You'll need to watch it and see what we mean. We've got the entire video down below. Take a look.
Honda asking used-car buyers to sign liability document [w/poll]
Thu, 31 Jul 2014
New cars under recall must be repaired before a dealer can sell them but used cars are under no such mandate.
When it comes to informing the car-buying public about potential safety hazards on used vehicles, there are two emerging schools of thought among used-car dealers.
Honda marks 20 million vehicles made in the USA
Thu, 20 Mar 2014Japanese automakers manufacturing in the United States is nothing new. But it was in November of 1982 when the first Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line in Marysville, OH. It was the first Japanese vehicle assembled in the US, and in the nearly 32 years since, Honda has made 10 million Accords here for a total of 20 million cars manufactured in America - enough to span from New York to San Francisco twenty times. It's that double landmark which Honda is now celebrating.
Honda has come a long way in those three decades, keeping that original plant in Marysville on line while expanding to three more - in East Liberty, OH; Lincoln, AL; and Greensburg, IN - with a fifth plant (the Performance Manufacturing Center) opening on the same site in Marysville to build the Acura NSX next year. It also builds engines in Lincoln and in Anna, OH, and automatic transmissions at Russells Point, OH, and Tallapoosa, GA.
Between those seven sites, Honda produces 11 different models, including the Accord, Civic, Crosstour, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline as well as the Acura ILX, TL, RDX and MDX. Production keeps on ramping up as Honda produced a record 1.3 million vehicles in the US last year, 95 percent of which are sold in the US. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to see it all laid out in a handy infographic.
