Selling my '01 Silverstone Metallic S2000. It's a great running & driving car and has been ultra reliable, but I've got a few more important things I need and too many vehicles; this one's the least practical so it's got to go. It's relatively stock and most of the "upgrades" were made out of necessity. Rarely driven in anger, babied and pampered for the two years I've owned it. Everything works EXACTLY how it should; A/C blows COLD, engine starts perfect, purrs like a kitten at idle, vtec engages how it should; no warning lights on the cluster.

  • Body: 8/10 - A few minor paint chips in the fenders from road debris.
  • Interior: 7/10 - Typical wear on left drivers seat bolster and seat bottom, minor wear on carpet, wear & tear on shifter trim.
  • Soft Top: 7/10 - Good condition for it's age. Light clouding on the plastic rear window, beginning to tear on both sides at the plastic flaps but they're only about 1/4"-1/2" in length right now; should be no issue to patch and keep hidden if caught soon.

  • Oil changed every 3k miles with Castrol GTX 10w30
  • Cooling system flushed 1k miles ago
  • Transmission and rear diff fluids changed 10k miles ago
  • Valves adjusted 5k miles ago
  • Spark Plugs replaced 5k miles ago
  • Registration and TX state inspection valid until 2015

"MODS"
  • Full Blown aluminum radiator - Stock radiator fans
  • Hasport 62a Billet Engine Mounts - Supposed to have been stock replacement; GREAT feel and power transfer while driving, but they cause quite a bit of in-cabin vibration at idle RPM
  • Aeromotive Stealth Fuel Pump (installed in anticipation of a future turbo, still have stock)
  • Stainless Steel Straight Pipe after cat to right behind the rear axle (still have stock exhaust minus flange, used for straight pipe)
  • No-Name / Ebay front lip, unpainted but in excellent condition. Decent fit.
  • ** Hardtop previously included is no longer available and will be sold separately**

CONS
  • Excessive in-cabin vibration due to Hasport mounts; not unbearable, just a minor annoyance at times
  • The straight pipe exhaust is loud. Not unbearable, but I really enjoy the sound the F20c makes, even while cruising; not everyone will.
  • Drivers side soft top latch is wearing and causes wind noise at highway speeds; still holds tight against rain and car washes.

The title is clear, but there is still an open bank loan on the vehicle; the final loan payment to be made after full payment for the vehicle is received. The winning buyer is welcomed/encouraged to accompany me to the bank to complete the transaction. The account is current and in good standing.

Honda Civic poised to get new Earth Dreams engines

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

When Honda executed its emergency refresh of the Civic for 2013, it didn't do any massive powertrain reworking. But that doesn't mean new things aren't already in the works for Honda's compact. According to Automotive News, Honda has confirmed that it will offer the Civic with a new Earth Dreams powerplant sometime in the future, though details on timing and exactly what sort of engine are unclear as of this writing.
The confirmation comes from Honda's executive vice president and regional director for North America, Tetsuo Iwamura, who says that the Earth Dreams engine will come when the Civic is re-engineered or redesigned, not during a refresh. There is also no mention of whether these changes will apply to just the standard Civic, or if the Si and Hybrid models will receive some Dreamy new tech, as well.
The entire Earth Dreams group of technologies encompasses more than just naturally aspirated engines with direct injection. A turbo-diesel engine is also part of this suite, as are new continuously variable transmissions and new gasoline-electric hybrid powerplants. Honda launched its 2.4-liter and 3.5-liter Earth Dreams engines in the redesigned 2013 Accord.

2014 Honda Odyssey gets some tidy tweaks [w/video]

Wed, 27 Mar 2013

Here in New York, Honda is offering up a refreshed version of its well-liked Odyssey minivan, bringing with it a slew of updates including the segment's first in-car vacuum. It looks to be a neat little feature, one that families will no doubt get a lot of use out of. Kids are spill-machines, after all.
On the outside, the Odyssey gets a revised front end with dark headlamp surrounds, shiny cross-bars in the grille, and an aluminum hood and bumper. We think the blacked-out grille trim looks fine on this charcoal model, but question how smart it will look on models with lighter paint tones. Out back, there are new LED taillamps, and it looks like a new wheel design will be on offer, too.
Other changes for the 2014 Odyssey include some structural reinforcements for improved safety and some new available nannies like lane-departure warning and forward collision warning. Inside, buyers will find new finishes inside the cabin, a redesigned center stack and pushbutton start. Scroll down for the full details in an official video and in Honda's press release, and have a look at new images live from the show floor in the gallery above.

Acura NSX roadster finally on its way this year?

Mon, Apr 9 2018

Autobild put together a slideshow forecasting various convertibles due to arrive from 2018 to 2023. The long-prophesied Acura NSX roadster graced the first slide, reportedly prepped for market launch later this year at a price of 200,000 euros. That's about 13,000 euros more spendy than the hardtop, a relative bargain. Don't call your Goldman private banker yet, though — that Autobild slide is likely as close as any of us will get to said roadster this year. We've been doing the hokey pokey with the droptop NSX for at least six years now. In 2012 an eager enthusiast corps thought a European patent might have revealed the convertible supercar, only to realize it was Acura protecting Tony Stark's screen gem in The Avengers (pictured). In 2016, Autocar reported that Honda viewed the NSX as a platform for experiment and tests of developing technology that "help [ Honda] understand where the brand is going." Those brand explorations meant Honda was "contemplating convertible, lightweight, non-hybrid and all-electric versions." In 2017, Internet snoopers happened on patent images for a droptop coupe first dubbed the "Baby NSX," then potentially the ZSX after more snooping dug up a trademarked name. Even though production plans for a "Small NSX" actually did exist, dated to before 2008, the Small NSX/BabyNSX/ZSX turned out to be the Honda Sports Vision GranTurismo entry when Honda couldn't make a business case for the genuine article. Here we are staring down the same wishing well. Last year Acura sold 137 NSXs in the U.S. through the end of Q1, and so far this year only 67 coupes found buyers in that time. We know the NSX is a halo car, but halos work to best effect when they're visible. So all we know now is that the talented hybrid would do well with any variant that would get it more visibility, of the top-down kind, the Type R kind, perhaps a road-legal, non-hybrid GT3 kind, or any other.
