2000 Honda Prelude (base) Jdm H23a Blue Top on 2040-cars

I have a used 2000 Honda Prelude, base model, in good condition, 180k original miles but it has a new JDM blue-top H23A engine v-tec dohc with 50k miles. New tires, new clutch, new front brakes, new CV axle on passenger side, new stereo with removable face and remote. Interior is 8/10, exterior also 8/10 with some minor scratches/scuffed drivers side bumper. Runs good, doesn't overheat, good A/C, shifts smooth, etc. Needs a little TLC with some minor items. It is registered in California, but we have not completed the smog. We are thinking its the Catalytic converter or a sensor, code P0420. Original exhaust is on car. Did clean out the EGR ports on the manifold and replugged. We have all DMV paperwork and it is in our name, we do not have pink slip in hand because of smog, but will do a bill of sale at time of purchase. The car is being sold as is. We are asking for a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to paypal within 48 hours of the close of auction. Final payment to be made in cash at the time of pickup. Pickup to be made within 7-10 days of the close of auction, unless other arrangements are made. All shipping costs are to be paid for by purchaser. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Newest version of Honda's ASIMO coming to TV on April 15
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Honda's ASIMO robot is moving into its teenage years, having originally been introduced in 2000, and like all teens, it's still learning. The bot has received regular incremental upgrades over that time, and the latest version will premiere on LIVE with Kelly and Michael on Tuesday, April 15.
The newest enhancements provide ASIMO with improved hand dexterity, the ability to use sign language, run faster, climb stars more smoothly, balance on one foot, jump and more. Honda says other new features will be demonstrated with hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on the show.
The ongoing development of ASIMO, which stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, is being done so that one day it can help humans who require assistance. The current version is 4-feet, 3-inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and is made mostly from magnesium alloy and plastic. A big limit is still its lithium-ion battery that only provides 40 minutes of charge. The robot has not needed human control to move since a previous iteration in 2011, which also improved its manual dexterity. It could even pour drinks.
Honda HR-V gets early reveal
Mon, 17 Nov 2014If the Honda HR-V feels awfully familiar to you by now, you're not alone. We've seen it debut in Japanese form (dubbed "Vezel"), caught a prototype in Paris, and Honda first showed us the US-spec version in press-photo form all the way back at the New York Auto Show in April. We're finally going to get all the details on Honda's new subcompact crossover this week as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but first, we're getting an early look at the CUV today.
We met the Honda HR-V for a cup of coffee this morning at Randy's Donuts just outside of Los Angeles, and got our first look at the new CUV in the metal. It's a handsome little thing, offering a higher-riding, more butch alternative to the Fit hatchback on which it's based. We particularly like how the rear door handles are integrated into the pillars, for an almost three-door look from some angles.
Technical details are still scarce as of this writing, though we expect those to be revealed during Honda's press conference on Wednesday. For now, we just know that the HR-V should be an incredibly practical little thing, using the Magic Seat system that has made the Fit such a versatile and capacious subcompact. Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
