You are looking at a 1993 Honda Prelude w a TON of upgrades. Overall cosmetic condition is "good" and the car needs some TLC but it runs great and has a lot of life left in it. I have priced car to sell fast with a very reasonable starting bid with NO RESERVE! We reserve the right to end auction at any time, as the car is listed for sale locally. Vehicle is being sold AS IS. Serious buyers only may call me at 2673299091.  I will do my best to describe details below right from the mechanic.... Thanks!

Odometer Disclosure Exempt by federal law on title because of motor swap. Odometer reads 220k, which is accurate to the body of car but we are estimating about 100k on this motor.

Under 10k miles on new stock type Sachs clutch and new lightweight steel flywheel.

Both front CV axles replaced 15k ago.

4 very new speakers. I can't recall if they were pioneer or infinity, kappa.....but they were $320 on eBay and are very nice!

Drilled and slotted brake rotors.

stainless steel intermediate exhaust pipe.

Engine is an h22 from a 1997. The ECU is chipped with custom program but could use more tuning.

I believe the transmission is a m2b4 (will have to look at serial number to verify) ...but it should be the desirable one with limited slip worth $1000.00 alone~!

Timing belt is new along with oem Honda water pump and manual belt tensioner mod. new pulleys.

No rust under car, Rear fenders could be fixed.

Distributor cap and rotor was replaced 3k ago.

We have center caps for wheels and a tinted glass sunroof from a 1997 that just needs the brackets drilled to install.

FLAWS:

Car has some minor water leaks into trunk. Apparently there is a pipe on eBay that can be purchased for $55 to fix??

AC does not work. Never really checked it out.

Header piper is half flattened from hitting a driveway a few years ago.

2014 Honda Civic Si gets more power, priced from $22,790*

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Honda officially debuted the refreshed 2014 Civic SI Coupe at the SEMA Show last November, but it has taken until now for the Japanese automaker to share full pricing and specs for its high performance coupe and sedan.
The Si Coupe will go on sale at dealers on March 12 starting at $22,790, and the Si Sedan will follow on March 26 for $22,990 - both prices include a $790 destination charge. Buyers can opt to add summer tires for and additional $200 and navigation for $1,500. While the updates are relatively small, they are welcome.
Both body styles are fitted with a slightly tweaked 2.4-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 205 horsepower and 174 pound-feet, an increase of 4 hp and 4 lb-ft of torque, and they only come with a six-speed manual. Fuel economy is unchanged from last year at 22 miles per gallon city, 31 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined. Honda didn't reveal performance specs, so we can't be sure if the small boost helps acceleration at all.

Honda HR-V gets early reveal

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

If the Honda HR-V feels awfully familiar to you by now, you're not alone. We've seen it debut in Japanese form (dubbed "Vezel"), caught a prototype in Paris, and Honda first showed us the US-spec version in press-photo form all the way back at the New York Auto Show in April. We're finally going to get all the details on Honda's new subcompact crossover this week as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but first, we're getting an early look at the CUV today.
We met the Honda HR-V for a cup of coffee this morning at Randy's Donuts just outside of Los Angeles, and got our first look at the new CUV in the metal. It's a handsome little thing, offering a higher-riding, more butch alternative to the Fit hatchback on which it's based. We particularly like how the rear door handles are integrated into the pillars, for an almost three-door look from some angles.
Technical details are still scarce as of this writing, though we expect those to be revealed during Honda's press conference on Wednesday. For now, we just know that the HR-V should be an incredibly practical little thing, using the Magic Seat system that has made the Fit such a versatile and capacious subcompact. Stay tuned for more, and see the HR-V from all angles in our live gallery, above.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
