I purchased the vehicle last year. from a company I hired to find me a rust free southern  Honda Prelude.  They notified me that there was one in Georgia.  But that it was in a small fender bender. , and I had to buy it back from an insurance company to get it. Hence.. This vehicle that I am selling  is a SALVAGE REBUILT  vehicle, and it has a Salvage rebuilt title. .  Although I purchased it in the state of Georgia. It is located in North Ridgeville Ohio.  It also has the same original dent that caused it to get into the salvage situation.. left rear quarter panel.    I had it shipped to Ohio and noticed the original exhaust system was hanging on by a thread so I replaced it with a new one. The sunroof has a crack in it. it is two cracks that cross each other.. and is hard to notice unless you stare closely at it..  The thing I havnt had time to investigate is the fact that it is seeping oil.  It seems like  a clear oil.. so it may be power steering fluid.. could be regular oil.   There are some dings on the both sides of the car. A small crease on the driver’s door. A ding on the roof.. a small scrape on the rear left side of the bumper.. And some blemishes, nicks and scratches on the vehicle exist.  There is a section on the rear trunk lid that the paint is blemished..and can be found in a picture... and of course the dent on the rear quarter panel.   As I attempt to pick on all the little defects of the car.. I’de say the little thing looks pretty good and runs great.  The transmission is manual, and it shifts well.  The clutch is good.  Brakes are fine. The emergency brake works. The tires are fine for now.. but will need replacing since they are over half worn.  It does drive down the road strait, has plenty of power.  The thing is fun to take for a spin. I am not giving any  warranty with the car.. since it’s almost a quarter century old.   I am leaving the door open for anybody  who would like to test drive the Honda..  (440)759-9683 if you would like to stop by while it is up for auction.  It does have almost 145,600 miles on it..   I havn’t seen rust so far on the vehicle which is what I was concerned about.  The underneath is solid...The interior in good condition. I tried to be overly critical of the car in explaining it to you, that way the new owner has no surprises.  But overall, I think it looks nice, runs well, and .. is gonna be a fun car.. for whoever obtains the little a Honda. have a nice day.

Volkswagen's latest ad is not subtle | Autoblog Podcast #509

Fri, Mar 24 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are joined by special guest James Riswick, who has been driving a lot of new cars lately. All of them are discussed, plus a few more from Mike and David, and Mike rants a bit about a new VW Atlas commercial. The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, during which David briefly goes out into left field. (He's back now, don't worry.) The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.

South Korean guy rides his scooter all the way to the Nurburgring

Thu, Oct 6 2016

It's a story of extreme determination. Imagine starting up your humble scooter in Seoul, South Korea, setting off and not stopping before you reach your destination over 11,000 miles away in Germany. Lee Jaeyeong did just that, riding his eight-horsepower, 110-cc Honda Super Cub through Asia, Russia, Italy, and Switzerland just to get to the Nurburgring, documenting the entire three-month journey on his Instagram feed. This is downright The Straight Story kind of stuff. Video of his first ride on the 'Ring, the reason he made the trip, is above. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. And what better way to celebrate the successful trip than a lap or two of the 'Ring? In addition to completing a well-deserved tour of the Nordschleife on his trusty Honda scooter, late in the evening as all the Porsches and BMWs headed home, Lee was also able to passenger in a track-prepared SEAT Leon Cupra – driven by a properly fast driver. His excitement in the video is particularly palpable. The best thing is Lee isn't heading home just yet. Now that he's made it to Europe with his scooter, Lee's going to ride around the continent, seeing some more sights and twisty roads. He might well be the petrolhead of the year.
