2001 Honda Odyssey EX

NO RESERVE Accident-Free Vehicle

Clean Carfax report

Well maintained and regularly serviced family vehicle.  Everything fully functional.  No current mechanical defects.  180k miles.  Clean title.

2 sets of keys and 2 key fobs included (1 of the key fobs doesn't work though)

Newer tires (Less than 10K miles)  Newer brakes in front and rear (Less than 6K miles)

V6.  Am/FM CD player.  A/C.  Power sliding doors, windows, and seats.  Cruise control.  Tons of storage.

Not showroom new inside and out but still shows VERY well.  No tears or stains in fabric.

The only exterior defect is a dent (shown in pictures) on the passenger side sliding door.  There isn't any paint removed as a result of the dent.  The dent happened by getting too close to a bollard in a bank drive-thru teller line.  The passenger sliding door sometimes doesn't close fully when using the interior door handle but does close when you use the "close" button by the steering column.  No other dents besides typical dings your get from parking lots.

Seating for 7 in 3 rows of seats.  3rd row can lay flat.  No problem at all fitting a 4x8 sheet of plywood in the vehicle when the 2nd row seats are out and 3rd row is folded down.

The windshield has had a crack in it for over a year but it hasn't expanded since it started.  At the winning bidders request, I will replace the windshield for an additional $300.

Vehicle is for sale locally.  All sales are final.  Sold As-Is, No warranty.

Deposit required within 24 hours of auction ending.  Balance of payment required within 48 hours of auction ending or negative feedback will be left and vehicle will be relisted.

Honda unveils new 3.5-liter racing engine

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

Honda is following Ford's lead and debuting the second twin-turbocharged V6 to be used by Daytona Prototypes in the United Sports Car Championship. The wait won't be long to see it on track because the new engine will debut with the Starworks Motorsport team in a Riley Gen3 prototype chassis at the 12 Hours of Sebring from March 12-15.
The new HR35TT engine is based on Honda's J35 production V6 found in a variety of its models, including the current Accord. The racing version benefits from dry sump lubrication, but is still similar to the production version with an aluminum block, direct injection and single overhead camshafts. It is fueled by 100-octane E10 fuel, but like many racing engines, exact power figures have not been released.
Starworks has had a close relationship with Honda since it won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012 with a Honda Performance Development ARX-03b chassis and Honda engine. We can't wait to see this new mill hit the track, and see how it fairs against Chip Ganassi Racing's EcoBoost-powered Riley. Scroll down to read the press release for the full details.

Honda Recalling 900,000 Odyssey Minivans

Mon, Mar 17 2014

DETROIT (AP) - Honda Motor Co. is recalling 886,815 Odyssey minivans in the U.S. because a fuel pump cover can deteriorate and cause a fuel leak. Odysseys from 2005 through 2010 model years are involved. The recalled minivans were made between June 23, 2004, and September 4, 2010. According to documents posted Saturday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the cover on the fuel pump strainer can wear down from exposure to high temperatures and acidic chemicals, like those found in fertilizers. Fuel leaks can cause a vehicle fire. Honda says no fires or injuries have been reported. Honda dealers will repair the vehicles for free, but the company says replacement parts may not be available until this summer. It will notify owners of the recall next month. Takata airbag victim looked like she had been stabbed

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

We generally take certain principals for granted. The more water you drink, for example, the healthier you'll be. The more time you spend reading car news on Autoblog, the better informed you'll be. And the more airbags your car has, the safer you'll be. Because airbags equal safety. But that's not what some unfortunate drivers of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags are finding, and tragically finding out the hard way.
In what could be the most startling incident resulting from the airbag debacle so far, a woman named Hien Tran of Orlando, FL, was killed by what looked at first like stab wounds on her neck. It later emerged that the fatal injuries could have been inflicted by the faulty airbag on her Honda Accord. Tran bought her Honda secondhand, and may not have been aware that the airbag issue had not been addressed by its previous owner in a previous recall in 2009.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death, but it wouldn't be the only injury resulting from the malfunctioning Takata airbags. The units, employed particularly by Japanese automakers like Honda (which owns part of Takata) and Toyota, are the subject of a massive recall involving some 14 million vehicles from 11 different automakers.
