Comments:
I purchased this from someone who did not use it much. Many things were missing and I replaced them with new Honda OEM parts. I also replaced the IMA battery with a new 30% increased capacity (cost $3000).
This was fully checked out by Honda Riverside after I purchased the car (May 2014) to fix and/or replace any necessary parts with new ones. 1st and 2nd gears grid a bit ONLY down-shifting, regular up-shifting has no problems. The mechanic at Riverside Honda said this was common for this cars transmission. He guaranteed 70,000 more miles before it needs overhaul. Overhaul is $2800.
I used this for 3 months while I commuted to San Diego (1.5 hr drive) and no longer need the car (I'm moving). Great gas mileage (I got 83 MPG on the freeways!), easy and fun to drive. The grid charger is great, high quality (not like the "computer power-supplies" that most people sell) and required to maintain the battery replacement warranty. I have all documents and receipts, including the title. This car has a clean record, no accidents, just a two minor door dings (passenger door) and scratches (passenger mirror) from its age (see pictures).  Paint is in good condition, a bit weathered, but looks great with 3 new coats of McGuire's Car Wax!  I have put less than 2,000 miles on this car since I purchased it.

Deposit and payment:
Deposit of $500 is due immediately after auction end to our PayPal account. Remainder is due within 3 days. I will not accept PayPal for the remainder, unless you cover the transfer fee. If you require a special agreement for payment, please contact me prior to bidding. Thank you.

BIDDING TERMS:
If you have a zero feedback score, I ask that you email me PRIOR to bidding to introduce yourself. I do this simply because I have had experiences with less-than-forthright bidders who disappear after the auction is over, which only causes frustration and raises the bid on our real, human bidders with actual intent to complete the sale. I reserve the right to cancel bids on zero feedback bidders that do not follow through with this request.

Title:
You will be supplied with a California title and a bill of sale from me. Title is ready and available to either hand to you for registration in your state or possibly get temporary tags until which time you can register car in your name. Car will come with license plates. All documents are in order for transfer. All other bidders from all other areas, title will be signed over and handed to you, so you can obtain registration in your state.

Questions:
Please, please, PLEASE, read everything here so there are no surprises. I like for our sales to go as smoothly as possible, so ask questions BEFORE you bid. It is unacceptable for a buyer to show up on delivery day and be surprised about something that is clearly listed in the description. I am here to answer questions, so please ask.

The other Luxury Green Car finalists included the BMW x5 xDrive40e, Lexus RX 450h, Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid, and the Mercedes-Benz C350e. Distinguished as 2016 Luxury Green Car of the Year™ is Volvo's new XC90 T8. The Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid tops the field as 2016 Connected Green Car of the Year™ and Honda's HR-V earns Green Car Journal's 2016 Green SUV of the Year™. "These are stand-out vehicles in an increasingly sophisticated and appealing field of 'green' cars," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com. "To make the cut as a finalist is a real achievement in itself considering the considerable competition in the market today. Rising to the top as award winners means these three exceptional vehicles set a benchmark in the auto industry's effort to create vehicles that are desirable and efficient, while also achieving environmental milestones so important for our driving future." The Green Car Awards are a key feature of The Washington Auto Show, the "public policy show" on the auto show circuit and one that puts a priority on safety and sustainability. "We are extremely proud of our partnership with Ron Cogan, whose eagerly anticipated suite of awards help shape the national conversation on the innovations that will drive our industry and country forward," said Geoff Pohanka, chairman of The Washington Auto Show.

Honda to power new Formula Lites open-wheel racing series

Sun, 18 May 2014

Open-wheel racing is almost always incredibly exciting to watch, whether it's the constant passing of the Indy 500 on an oval or the technological tour-de-force from Formula 1. However, both of those disciplines are essentially impossible for a normal person to enter. Of course, there are already cheaper, more amateur-friendly open-wheel competitions, like Formula Vee. A new SCCA Pro Racing series called Formula Lites aims to be a step in the ladder between those, offering a development opportunity to young drivers who want to be professionals.
The series already has some impressive backers. One of the biggest needs is now filled, as Honda has signed on as the engine supplier. All of the cars in Formula Lites will use the company's K24 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The automaker didn't specify power output for the competition engine, but in production models the K24 has made in the neighborhood of 190-200 horsepower in many applications. That should make the racers plenty potent.
All of the cars are using the new carbon fiber FL15 chassis from Crawford Composites, and Pirelli is the series' tire supplier. The organizers' goal for the cars is to keep racing costs down, while offering a reliable platform. Formula Lites plans to start racing with a few events later in 2014, and the full calendar begins in 2015. Scroll down to read the full announcement about Honda's involvement.

American motorcycle brands most satisfying, Japanese most reliable, says Consumer Reports

Fri, Apr 10 2015

Consumer Reports started tracking motorcycle reliability last year through its regular reader survey, just like the magazine's well-known auto guide. For the 2015 edition, CR now has data on over 12,300 bikes, compared to 4,680 in 2014, and the extra info means it can include more brands, like Suzuki, Triumph and Can-Am, to the list. However, the final results remain largely the same. As with last year, Japanese bikes are the best choice for buyers who prioritize reliability. Yamaha comes out on top yet again and is followed by Suzuki, Kawasaki and Honda. Victory and Harley-Davidson hold the middle of the list, and the European cycles from Triumph, Ducati and BMW sit at the bottom. The major outlier in this regional distinction is the Can-Am Spyder from Canada's Bombardier Recreational Products that comes in dead last in the dependability survey. Still, even the most dependable model is occasionally going to break, and the average repair bill across all brands is $342, according to CR's readers. Kawasakis are the cheapest to keep on the road at a median of $269 for fixes, versus BMW as the most expensive at $455. Through all of the companies, electrical gremlins are the most common issue, causing 24 percent of problems, but faults with the cooling system, pistons or transmission are the smallest concerns at 4 percent each. While Japanese cycles might be the easiest to keep on the road, they aren't the most beloved by riders. In CR's gauge of satisfaction, the Americans reign supreme. Victory owners love their bikes the most with 80 percent reporting that they would buy another. Harley riders are known for having a close bond to the company's models, and the brand comes in second with 72 percent. Finally, Honda rounds out the top three at 70 percent.
