Her name is "Toastie" and she has been lady driven. Toastie is a real find and, to your advantage, I'm a little OCD about my cars. We have owned her since 2007 when she only had about 40,000 miles on her. The guy who owned Toastie before us was even more OCD about his cars than I am. Toastie has been meticulously maintained using ONLY fully synthetic motor oil. If something broke on her, we fixed her like you would a baby. She has had a new battery last year, new front struts and springs about three years ago, new alternator and belt about two years ago, new air conditioner compressor and fan motor about three years ago, new idle air control valve last summer, and brand NEW crystal clear headlights last month. The paint is in great shape with surprisingly few nicks. Even better the plastic side panels are in excellent shape having been coated regularly with conditioner. There are a few dents and scratches that you can see in the pictures. The driver's seat is cracking so I ordered the Honda seat cover to get a good fit. The rear passenger seat has a little tear in the fabric. The steering wheel is in great shape having been covered most of the time. The car has a great professionally installed aftermarket radio with GPS navigation. I would get in this car and drive it to Alaska right now. Better yet, I'd put a 19 year old daughter in it and send her to Alaska right now. You have an excellent opportunity to but a great used car from the folks who have owned her and babied her for the past six years. Shoot me a message if you have questions.

Honda reveals more with Civic Type R concept bound for Paris
Mon, 29 Sep 2014The reveal of the next-generation Honda Civic Type R has been a gradual one. First Honda showed us a camouflaged prototype, then let us drive one at its Japanese proving ground and followed up with a concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Now with the Paris Motor Show looming on the horizon, it has revealed yet another concept to keep hot-hatch enthusiasts on their toes.
The second Civic Type R concept appears almost identical to the first one - right down to the aggressive aero kit, quad exhaust tips, oversized wheels and ultra-low-profile rubber - but wears a new coat of Superman blue with go-fast decals. With its release, however, Honda has confirmed some of the salient details set for the production version.
In the nose sits a 2.0-liter turbo four with 276 horsepower and a 7,000-rpm redline, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Adaptive dampers and a "steer axis" system promise to keep the power under control, while a push of the +R button tightens up the suspension, steering and torque mapping.

Red Bull F1 denied access to Honda engines
Sun, Oct 25 2015There are four engine manufacturers in Formula 1: Ferrari, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, and Renault. Infiniti Red Bull Racing ended its marriage to Renault, got to the altar with Mercedes and then Mercedes backed out, couldn't even agree on a pre-nup with Ferrari, and Honda flat-out said, "No." At the moment that has left the four-time World Champions without an engine for next year, owner Dieter Mateschitz threatening to take his two teams and four cars out of the sport, and F1 honcho Bernie Ecclestone threatening to sue Mateschitz if he does. The Japanese company had turned down the idea because after a first year with some poor performances and a few public sour notes, it wants to get McLaren's cars running properly before it expands its operation. Now it seems some behind-the-scenes action of late has opened up channels between Red Bull and Honda, and the two are at least talking. Honda, though, still says such a deal is highly unlikely at best, and Red Bull says it will have something to say when something is done. It appears that McLaren chief Ron Dennis, however, has vetoed the idea. Ecclestone says Honda made a deal with the FIA that would allow Honda to supply two teams in its second year, but Honda gave Dennis veto rights over who the second team would be. For the same reason that Mercedes backed out and Ferrari only wanted to sell Red Bull year-old engines, Ecclestone says Dennis might view Red Bull as a competitor and doesn't want to risk two more cars getting in front of his own. If that's the case and Red Bull is going to remain in the sport, it might need to hit the flower shop and book a trip to Renault headquarters. Soon. Related Video:
