1994 Honda Del Sol Dohc Vtec on 2040-cars
Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, United States
I had intended to completely redo this car because I like it so much. It came with a DOHC VTEC engine which is rare in these cars. After I did the mechanical work, I was going to get the body work (rust)done and new paint. I was offered a great deal on a BMW Z3 which I just purchased, so I must sell this car. This car can be driven across country with confidence since it runs so very well. Top comes off and goes into trunk, a one person operation. I made a video of the car. It is a walk around and some driving. Please go to : http://youtu.be/B2wKADEqf9Y. 1.5 years ago: new radiator 1 year ago: new drive axels, left and right(CV joints), new brake pads, rotors and calipers (all four wheels). less than 1 yr.: engine rebuilt, crank and rod bearings, pistons and rings, new crankshaft seal. new oil pump, water pump, timing belt, a/c, power steering and alternator belt. New alternator, heavy duty clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing. New A/C compressor and dryer. Last week: New muffler. Tune up - new rotor, cap and plugs. Fresh oil change, filter and air filter. NEW 2 YEAR NEW JERSEY INSPECTION TIRES: 75%+ SRS (airbag light) stays on. Car has some rust. See pictures. Missing lug nut cover plate on one wheel. Small lens, which I have, needs to be glued on over left front turn signal. Small filter, which I have, needs to replaced on Evap system, (easy one screw). BIDDERS WITH LESS THAT 5 FEEDBACK OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK MUST CONTACT ME FIRST BEFORE BIDDING. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME AS THE CAR IS LISTED IN OTHER PLACES.
On Oct-15-13 at 10:05:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I've just added 2 more pictures at the request of viewers, one of the engine compartment and one of the trunk. Please notice the roof rack or holder in the trunk is able to lift out of the way even with the roof attached in order to access the trunk compartment. |

Honda and Mario Andretti cite pedestrians for excessive slowness
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Honda and the Andretti family have a lot to celebrate at the moment. Andretti Autosport driver Ryan Hunter-Reay won the 2014 Indianapolis 500 in his Honda-powered car, and Marco Andretti, Mario's grandson, also managed to take the third step on the podium. Apparently, the victory is making them feel magnanimous because Honda and Mario Andretti are giving the chance to ride with him in a two-seat, open wheel car.
To promote the contest, they created the Honda Speed Patrol to ticket anyone going too slow. It's an interesting idea, and the chance to ride with Andretti would be the opportunity of a lifetime. Perhaps the biggest shock of the video, though, might be when you realize how short Mario is when you see him milling about in public. Scroll down to watch one of America's most respected racers cite people in Chicago for being too slow.
Honda NM4 concept motorcycles channel Akira
Fri, 21 Mar 2014Honda has rolled out a pair of new motorcycle concepts at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home market of Japan, and they're our first glimpse at the company's "neo-futuristic" NM4. Shown in both stealthy black and an eye-catching white, the NM4s are sharp creations that feature interesting riding positions.
Honda calls the concepts' seating "the cockpit position," claiming that it unifies bike with rider. We don't know about that, but we will admit that compared to most sportbike seats - which are more or less just bits of padding to squeeze between your legs - these bikes' saddles look more or less like conventional seats. Honda says that their backrests are adjustable, which should provide a comfortable riding experience. Still, with these bikes' sporting looks, we can't imagine their low seats are going to be great for dipping knees through the bends (although the should lower the center of gravity, so perhaps it's a wash).
Both show bikes, NM4-01 and NM4-02, are powered by 745-cc, two-cylinder engines, while dual-clutch transmissions are employed to dispatch unspecified amounts of power to their wide rear tires. The bikes are nearly identical save for different colors, but the NM4-02 features an integral set of hard panniers for increased utility. We've got a gallery of both, so hop up above and take a look. You can also scroll down for a brief press release from Honda.
Check out Honda's sweet stop-motion 'Power of Dreams' ad
Thu, Sep 24 2015Television advertising doesn't just have to be the necessary evil that pays for the shows that you want to watch, and Honda is absolutely proving that with a new two-minute commercial titled Paper. Using stop-motion animation and a heap of illustrated cutouts, the spot showcases what the Power of Dreams motto really means. It runs through highlights like the success in racing, automotive development, Asimo, the HondaJet, and even lawnmowers. The result of all that hard work is spellbinding. The entire two-minute spot already aired during a few NFL games, and doing that was a serious investment. According to Ad Age, during the time that the ad ran the estimated cost per 30 seconds was $300,887. Honda is also prepping a minute-long version for TV, but you can enjoy the whole thing right now in the video, above. HONDA BRINGS 'THE POWER OF DREAMS' TO LIFE WITH TWO-MINUTE COMMERCIAL CREATED BY STOP-MOTION ARTIST AND INFLUENCER PES Elaborate Paper-Flipping Technique Artfully Tells the History of Honda Honda Brand Marketing Tone — Simple, Clever and Emotional — Will Carry Through Across Upcoming Advertising to Help Build a Long-Term Emotional Connection with Consumers Sep 21, 2015 - TORRANCE, Calif. -- Capitalizing on Honda's established, strong brand identity and its core belief in "The Power of Dreams," the company is launching a two-minute commercial, "Paper," during CBS Sunday NFL on Sunday, Sept. 20. After months in the making, thousands of hand-drawn and -colored illustrations from multiple artists provide the platform for an intricate paper-flipping journey to beautifully show Honda's history and range of mobility products. "The goal is for the marketing itself to become a demonstration of Honda thinking and all the people that touch our wide range of products along the way," said Tom Peyton, Assistant Vice President of Marketing for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "This commercial stands for the courage and conviction to imagine and make dreams a reality and speaks to Honda's innovative nature and respect for personal achievement and contributions." "The Power of Dreams" philosophy speaks to Honda's belief that drives the company's R&D and diverse array of advanced-technology products, and to the determination to bring them to market. This rejuvenated approach to overall brand marketing is the sum of Honda's best thinking and could only come from the company's years of design and innovation.
