This is one of the very nicest CRX we have ever come across. It looks like it has 30k miles on it. The paint is original and shines like new. There are no major dings dents or scratches on the car. As you can see from the photos the paint still has a new car shine. It has always been garaged and never driven in winter. All rubber and glass and trim pieces are near perfect. You can search forever and not find another CRX in this condition. The interior is absolutely as new. No rips no stains no odors of any kind. It is sometimes hard to describe the difference in a good car interior and a great car interior. This interior is great. Almost flawless. It shows no wear and no smoothing out of plastic surfaces like the steering wheel or the door panels where arm wear might normally occur. Just incredible. I found this car at a honda dealership sitting in their showroom. Mechanically the car runs as new. Extremely tight with no shimmies shakes or rattles. The timing belt and water pump are new. The tires and exhaust are also new. There are no modifications whatsoever to this CRX. There are no signs of rust anywhere on the car with the exceptions of a bit of surface rust on the license plate bracket plate. Very common and easily replaced for 20 dollars or so. Honda's slate for Tokyo Auto Salon includes S2000 revival, many Mugens
Thu, 27 Dec 2012Honda has pulled back the covers on what we can expect to see at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, including what looks to be an S2000 refresh some four years after the convertible left production. The S2000 Modulo Climax is an "exhibition model" based on the old roadster, but features updated front and rear fascias as well as an interior trimmed out in black and burgundy. Beyond that, details are scarce as hen's teeth.
Honda will also show off a number of vehicles based on the N-One mini, including the N-One Modulo Style, Mugen Racing N-One Concept and an N-One worked up by the Japan Nailist Association. That last creation features plenty of rhinestone decoration. (We wish we were joking.) Mugen will also display a tarted-up CR-V Design Study as well as the CR-Z Mugen RZ: a 300-unit specialty vehicle.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer's motorcycle arm will show off the Goldwing F6B, previously seen at EICMA 2012 as well as the CB1300 Super Four Special Edition and the NC700X. The automaker will also pepper its stand with a few of its racing machines for the public to enjoy. Check out the full press release below.
Honda recalls 2012-13 Fit Sport models over stability control issue
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Honda is recalling 43,782 examples of the 2012 and 2013 Fit Sport in the US and close to 2,000 more in Canada. During federal compliance testing it was discovered that the software for the Vehicle Stability Assist allows an excessive tilt angle before applying the brakes to prevent a crash. The issue only affects Fit Sports equipped with a certain kind of tire.
Honda will notify owners in mid-May, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers to have the stability control software updated free of charge. There's a press release from Honda below with more details.
Watch Obama kick the ball around with Honda's latest ASIMO
Sat, 26 Apr 2014Bend it like Obama. The Commander-In-Chief was just in Japan for a state visit, and his trip took him to a science expo, where he played a bit of soccer with Honda's latest ASIMO robot. The entire scene was captured on video, and showed the innovative robot as it ran, hopped and kicked a soccer ball to a bemused President Obama.
ASIMO had a number of upgrades ahead of its meeting with the president, which were originally shown off to the crowds at the 2014 New York Auto Show. These tweaks to the 110-pound robot included a number of changes in both its upper and lower body to improve stability, speed and balance. Although not shown in this video, Honda claims the lower-body upgrades allow ASIMO to climb faster and more smoothly than ever before. Its hands are more dexterous and expressive, as well, while new sensors give it an even better sense of touch.
Before ASIMO smoothly and effortlessly jogged across the stage, the robot and the President had a brief chat. According to The Wall Street Journal, Obama later told students at the Miraikan Science Expo in Tokyo that ASIMO and the other robots at the fair "were a little scary. They were too lifelike."
