Fresh Cars is proud to present an exceptional find of a 2 owner like new 1991 Honda CRX Si with its original 'Tahitian Green Pearl' color code BG28P color paint.  The paint is flawless.  The body is straight and free of dings!  No rust!!

The flaws:

1. The mouldings around the passenger and driver windows are worn due to age.  Very common on Hondas.

2. Small crack on the driver side plastic trim (as shown in pic).

3. Door panels have tiny screw holes because the previous owner attached cup holders to the door panels.

4. Cargo cover is split but still works.

5.  AC needs to be charged.

Original 4cyl 1.6L engine and 5 speed manual transmission with 133K original miles! The 1.6L Si engine is extremely strong and powerful with only 133,865 original miles and the transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, simply a nice car to drive. This is the highly desirable 2 seater CRX Si 1.6L Hatchback body-style with its all original and virtually flawless matching gray Si interior. No rips, tears, stains, or odors!!  Even includes the original spare tire!  Radio was updated.  Sunroof works.

This car was loved and well maintained.  It has a clean CARFAX report.  1st owner owned it for 8 years and put about 50k miles.  2nd owner had it since 1999 and put about 83k miles!!

This is a rare opportunity to own a very rare and internationally desirable 1991 legendary Honda CRX Si 2 seater model.  I've seen and owned other CRX's, but nothing remotely comes close to this condition!

Honda CR-Z gets much-needed supercharger

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Honda has really taken its time in getting an aftermarket supercharger kit for the CR-Z to enthusiasts in the US. It's finally on sale, though, and it makes you wonder if the hybrid hatchback shouldn't have had it from the day it went on sale.
The supercharger kit developed by Honda Performance Development boosts output from the CR-Z's 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine to 197 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, according to Honda spokesperson Jessica Howell, an improvement of 67 hp and 36 lb-ft. It also adds an air-to-air intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors, a recalibrated ECU and new air filter for $5,495, before installation. However, the setup only works for six-speed manual transmission models from the 2013 and 2014 model years. If you want to take things even further, HPD is also offering an optional limited slip differential for $1,375 and sport clutch for $640, according to Howell.
Development of the supercharger kit has been ongoing for years. We first saw it on the CR-Z Mugen RZ in 2012 in Japan, in which it barely bumped power to 153 hp. Later at SEMA, Honda improved things to a more respectable 185 hp. Then in 2013, we actually got to drive an early version boasting 190 hp and found it a solid improvement over the stock powertrain. It appears Honda had some further tweaks to get things to the current 197 ponies. More good news: assuming you get the package installed at a dealer, the car maintains the balance of its 5 year/ 60,000 mile Honda limited powertrain warranty.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.

2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

America's midsize sedan segment is one of the most crowded and fiercely competitive in the business. The Toyota Camry has long been our nation's best seller, while the Honda Accord has dutifully come in second place, like some sort of codependent Cal Naughton Jr. riding Ricky Bobby's back bumper.
There was that one year, 2001, when the Accord briefly broke the Camry's streak, marring what would today have been a 17-year-long run of best-selling car titles. The Accord pulled the opposite move in 2011, letting sales slip far enough to let not only the Toyota by, but the Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion, as well. Aside from those anomalies, the Camry and Accord have been first and second in this segment since before many of you readers could even drive.
It's 2014, and these frenemies have never before faced a threat to their world order as strong as today's class of family sedans. The aforementioned Altima and Fusion are perhaps the most capable challengers, but the Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda6 are all capable of convincing new buyers to walk their way.
