1991 Honda Crx Si Coupe 2-door 1.6l on 2040-cars
Lindenhurst, New York, United States
Up for sale is a 1990 Honda Crx Si with 162k+ miles. I bought the car as a restoration project. This was my 6th CRX.
Many of these car for sale nowadays had been modified like crazy. I have been taking these cars and restoring them back to original condition. The way they were intended to be. I bought this car in Late August. I only bought it because the car was in good condition and a good candidate for restoration. Car was repainted by previous owner. Paint is in very good condition. Car was lowered when I bought it so I replaced it with factory OE spec springs from HONDA's original supplier. Struts was replaced with tokico blues and it was lifetime warranty. I also replaced a rear control arm because the bushing was cracked. Now the car rides like it supposed to from the dealer. Timing belt, water pump and muffler assembly were also replaced by previous owner. When I bought the car, the air conditioning was not functional because parts had been removed for some reason. I replaced the evaporator core, replaced AC lines, and recharge refrigerant. Compressor and idle pulley was work fine. Now AC is fully functional like new. I wanted to keep the car for myself as a collector item but I need to feel up room for another project car that I always wanted to do. Engine starts up immediately with no smoke. Transmission shift smooth with no grinds. Alternator charging at 14.4V with headlights on. Sunroof is functional with small rust spot on inside edge of panel. All tires were replaced by last owner before I bought the car so they are new. I had only driven about 1000 miles since I bought the car. Most of the time was spend restoring it. Interior in in good condition. No rips on seats. Door panels are in good condition. There is a small rip on the dash in the passenger side near the door, I bought an extra dash to replace it but did not have time to put it in. Please do not bid unless you are serious. Car is also being sold locally. I reserved the right to end auction early. Non-paying winner of auction will be reported to EBay. Thanks for looking. |

Honda Civic Tourer to debut at Frankfurt
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Honda will be bringing its new Civic Tourer to next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, just as we predicted in our spy shots of the new MPV from back in April. The new model, which will arrive in European dealers in 2014, will be built alongside Honda's Euro-spec Civic hatchback, Jazz (Honda Fit) and CR-V in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK.
Honda first hinted at the Civic Tourer with a concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which is set to do battle with the Toyota Auris and Volkswagen Golf in the European market. The production Civic Tourer will also be shown alongside a refreshed Civic hatchback, yet another NSX Concept variant, a McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car, and Honda's World Touring Car Championship Civic.
Honda poised for growth, Detroit to hold steady, Car Wars study says
Fri, Jun 5 2015The automotive industry is expected to keep booming in the US over the next several years, but the train might start running out of steam in the long term, according to 2015's Car Wars report from Bank of America Merrill Lynch analyst John Murphy. The forecast focuses on changes between the 2016 and 2019 model years, and the latest trends appear similar in some cases to the past predictions. Sales are expected to keep growing and reach a peak of 20 million in 2018, according to the Detroit Free Press. The expansion is projected to come from a quick pace of vehicle launches, with an average of 48 introductions a year – 26 percent more than in 1996. Crossovers are expected to make up a third of these, maintaining their strong popularity. However, Murphy predicts a decline, as well. By 2025, total sales could fall to around 15 million units. As of May 2015, the seasonally adjusted annual rate for this year stands at 17.71 million. Like last year, Honda is predicted to be a big winner in the future thanks to products like the next-gen Civic. "Honda should be the biggest market share gainer," Murphy said when presenting the report, according to Free Press. Meanwhile, in a situation similar to Car Wars from 2012, a lack of many new vehicles is expected to cause a drop for Hyundai, Kia, and Nissan. Based on this forecast, Ford, General Motors, and FCA US will all generally maintain market share for the coming years. The report does make some future product predictions, though. The next Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra might come in 2019, which is earlier than expected. Also, Lincoln could get a Mustang-based coupe for 2017, a compact sedan for 2018 and an Explorer-based model in 2019, according to the Free Press. Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings
Mon, May 26 2014The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year.
