I have for sale my Red 2006 Honda CR-V LX with a tan interior and this is the 4WD model with automatic transmission. The car overall is in excellent shape and mechanically there is nothing I could find wrong with this vehicle. It runs perfectly and has a set of new tires on it with receipt in the glove box. The engine has been serviced along with new spark plugs and I have changed the power steering hose. The car has four wheel disk brakes and new brake pads installed. This model of V-tech engine has a timing chain so no belt to replace. There are full airbags to include side curtain air bags. The AC works great and blows ice cold air. The drivers side window switch was repaired by Honda from a recall Honda had on it. The receipt is in the glove box.

Now for the things that I know are wrong with the vehicle. The exterior of the car is by no means in pristine condition there are lots of dents. It was owned prior to me by an elderly person who I think bumped into every pole or bumper they could see or not see. So the entire car has various dents and dings, but there has never been any kind of major accident or airbag deployment. You should be able to see them in the pictures and videos. I originally planned to repair and paint the vehicle and bought a new primed left front quarter panel. That is included with the vehicle in case you decide to repair it. It is Honda Part # 60261-SCA-A90ZZ The other thing I found is in the passenger seat someone dropped their cigarette and burned the seat. I did see where Honda does sell that part of the seat and you can replace if you so desired for about $200. The rest of the car is in really good shape. There are several of the plastic pieces inside have some scratches on them. The middle storage console there are some pins that are missing and when you open it it pops loose a little. It opens and closes fine you just notice it when you open it. The passenger side floor mate is a different color. It's more of a beige instead of tan.

Overall this is a very solid 4WD Honda that has a lot of life left in it. It has all the safety features one could want and if you live where it snows even better with the 4WD feature. I bought the about a month ago thinking I would save some gas over driving my big ford truck, but have found I’m not really Honda CR-V material and rather drive my big Ford truck.

Highest bidder takes it! Please pay deposit within 48 hours through PayPal and pay the balance within 7 days either by cash at pickup or we can work out other arrangements. If you wish to ship the vehicle I will work with you on pickup of the arrangements you make, but I will not pay for shipping.

Honda Civic Tourer images arrive early on web

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

Honda provided a teaser sketch of its Civic Tourer concept wagon about a month ago (right), but today, just a couple days before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, we've found these official pics of the car in question from WhatCar?
The Civic Tourer concept adds a little length and height to the current Civic hatchback sold in Europe, stretching the shape every which way to make a new wagon model that will compete with cars like the new Volkswagen Golf Variant, which is also making its debut in Geneva this week.
As we mentioned when Honda released the teaser sketch last month, the European Civic is different from the Civic sold here in the US, so the production version of this concept, which should debut in the fall, will never see the inside of a dealership in the States. Do you care, or does the smaller Fit fill that role well enough for Americans?

NHTSA investigating 343,000 Honda Odyssey minivans

Sat, 06 Jul 2013

The recall bug could strike Honda again as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened another investigation concerning the Odyssey minivan. Honda has already recalled 59,000 Odysseys from the 2012 and 2013 model years due to a shift interlock issue, and another 320,000 of the minivans from 2003-04 are being investigated for faulty airbags. Now, TheDetroitBureau.com is reporting that NHTSA is taking a look at the 2007-08 Odyssey for a problem associated with the brakes.
This investigation reportedly includes 343,000 Odysseys that could be suffering from an unexpected application of the brakes. According to the article, at least 22 people have reported such an issue, and in five cases, dealers found a trouble code associated with the steering angle sensor - part of the anti-lock brake and stability control systems. There is still no indication as to whether or not this will become a recall, but Honda has already recalled more than 1.8 million units this year.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
