2013 Honda Civic Lx 983 Miles Salvage Wrecked Rebuildable on 2040-cars

Year:2013 Mileage:983
Location:

Rosedale, Maryland, United States

Hi

I am a dental surgeon but used to be a body man, and still own a dealership and buy wrecked cars and fix them in my spare time as a hobby.  I bought this 2013 civic to fix, but also bought a second dental office and my free time seems to be nonexistent. I figured I would list it, and if it does not sell I will fix it in the spring when I get some more free time.

It is a 2013 civic lx automatic with only 983 miles, yes it still has the new car smell.  It was hit on the left front A pillar area (look at the pictures).  The A pillar is damaged, but does not need to be replaced (in my opinion), it needs a pull.  Driver door needs a shell (glass and guts are good).  Rear door has a scratch and needs some body work.  Back bumper is scratched.  It was missing the front bumper and headlight fender when I bought it, I already bought the headlight, fender is $35 aftermarket or 180 OEM.  The owner or someone had taken off the wheels and tires and put on spare tires, I have already replaced 3 of them, and have the 4th one on its way so should be here by the time it sells.  Left front strut needs a pull or to be replaced.  Cooling, engine, transmission, drive axle are all good.  Car does run and lot drive.  Hood and windshield are good.  airbags are good.  It has rear parking camera.

Please call me at 301 908 5304 or email me before bidding with any of your questions.  The car has a Maryland salvage title with markings "damage is less than fair market value" which means once finished you can have it inspected by Maryland state police and get a clean title,  title record will stay on carfax ( $300 fee if you need me to arrange the inspection).

Vehicle is at my house in white marsh Maryland, and can be inspected prior to bidding.  Once bought I request a non refundable deposit.  It has to paid for in cash or certified check (less the deposit which has to paid through paypal, and only the deposit will be accepted through paypal; not full payment because of the paypal fees).  Title will be mailed once the check clears if not paid in cash.

vehicle needs to be towed away.  I ship cars all the time, and will get you in touch with the towing company.  Vehicle needs to be picked up in the evening or weekend.

How to charge up your BMW i3 with a Honda

Sat, Sep 13 2014

Behold a cheaper version of BMW's range extender for its i3 plug-in. And it's brought to you by ... Honda? Sort of, if you take the approach that Gadget Review took when it looked for an alternative to ponying up the $4,000 or so for the gas-powered i3 range extender that comes from the factory. What was procured was a Honda portable generator for Home Depot for the experiment, which involved gassing the generator up in a parking lot, plugging in the i3 and going out for a cup of coffee. The result was that, after about a half-hour of charging, the i3 picked up about four miles of driving range. Not exactly revolutionary but it least a bit instructive. And given that Honda generators start at about $800, the idea, while clunky, is potentially cash-saving. Gadget Review briefly took the experiment one-step further by trying to run the generator inside the back of the car and plugging in, complete with a rigged-up ventilation system, but the host thought better of it once he realized that there'd be suffocation involved. Why this was never tried on the Nissan Leaf, we'll never know. Check out Gadget Review's five-minute video below.

2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

America's midsize sedan segment is one of the most crowded and fiercely competitive in the business. The Toyota Camry has long been our nation's best seller, while the Honda Accord has dutifully come in second place, like some sort of codependent Cal Naughton Jr. riding Ricky Bobby's back bumper.
There was that one year, 2001, when the Accord briefly broke the Camry's streak, marring what would today have been a 17-year-long run of best-selling car titles. The Accord pulled the opposite move in 2011, letting sales slip far enough to let not only the Toyota by, but the Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion, as well. Aside from those anomalies, the Camry and Accord have been first and second in this segment since before many of you readers could even drive.
It's 2014, and these frenemies have never before faced a threat to their world order as strong as today's class of family sedans. The aforementioned Altima and Fusion are perhaps the most capable challengers, but the Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Volkswagen Passat and Mazda6 are all capable of convincing new buyers to walk their way.
