2010 Honda Civic DX-VP for sale by private owner in good to very good condition with very low miles. Currently just under 17,000 (being driven currently) in Jersey City, NJ. Gray exterior, gray interior. This car has CD, power windows, A/C, power steering, and is very clean. The VP is is more optioned than the DX bus less optioned than the LX. It's a great little car that gets 25/36 gas mileage so it's economical for city driving but also makes sense for highway commuting.

Condition is listed as good to very good for the following reasons. I have had this car for 3 years now coming up in April and have parked it on the street the entire time. There are some dings and things that would be expected with city driving and parking. For this reason you can get a better price (normally mid-to high $13k with this mileage). There is two visible, small key marks on the drivers door panel, also a small ding on the rear driver side door. There is a key mark on the rear driver's panel near the fuel door. The bumpers look good with the exception of a few minor scratches. These are small issues and in total could likely be fixed by a body shop for $1000 or less. I can send pictures upon request, or make time for an in person visit/test drive.

The interior is also in good condition, with some small marks on the rear upholstery, but otherwise no issues. It is cloth interior, and the back seat pops out to make room for extra trunk storage.

This is the last month of a lease (36 month) and I am selling the car to buy out the lease, which is ending April 5. Once the car is paid for, I pay Honda Financial and receive the title. I do not get credit for unused mileage, so it makes sense for me to sell it to a private buyer than to give it back to the dealer. The process will likely not take more than a week after cash is in hand from the sale.

All updated oil changes, regular maintenance--everything is in fine working order. I am anxious to find a new owner before the end of this month and can be reached at 551-208-5504 (David) by text or phone to arrange a viewing. Please do not contact me if you are a dealer, or looking to low ball me on the price. I will not entertain either of these offers. Would be willing to drive a couple hours if necessary to meet the buyer.

Look forward to hearing from you! Thanks for your time.

Honda debuts NSX Concept-GT hybrid racer

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

Not to be outdone by Lexus and its new LF-CC racecar, Honda is also bringing a little more excitement to the Japanese Super GT racing series with its NSX Concept-GT. Yes, just like the original NSX, this racecar will wear the Honda badge in its home market when it replaces the current offering in that series, the non-production HSV-010 GT, which itself replaced the NSX in the series back in 2010.
Looking exactly how we'd imagine a race-prepped 2015 Acura NSX to look, this racer is mean and sexy at the same time, and it will be powered by a racing hybrid system with a turbocharged four-cylinder mounted behind the driver. No word on power output, but it will compete in the GT500 class, which restricts power output to 500 horsepower. Unlike the Lexus racecar, the Honda NSX Concept-GT will being competing this season starting with this weekend's race at the Suzuka Circuit before running the full 10-race 2014 season. Scroll down for the short press release.

GoPro learned to hoop from Meadowlark Lemon

Wed, 23 Apr 2014

Wait, wait, wait. We promise that there's something to do with cars in this story. Really, there is. It also, though, features some basketball antics. And the entire thing is possible thanks to the magic that is the GoPro.
Strategically situated, the little cameras capture David Kalb, a master when it comes to making trick basketball shots. This time, he's showing just what he can do when launching balls through the sunroof of a Honda Civic. That includes dribbling and sinking a layup (although we think he may have traveled when driving to the net).
Take a look below for the video, and let us know what you think of Kalb's tricks down in Comments.

Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.
