See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"This car is virtually new with less than just 8,000 on it. I'm the original and sole owner. It has been garaged since new. I don't think it has ever been outside overnight since I've had it. The car is completely stock. It has never been tracked, never raced, never smoked in, never nicked or scratched or wrecked or painted, never in snow, rarely, if ever, in rain, and always a blast to drive."

There were just 1000 of these sent to the U.S. and the sticker price on all of them was the same: $30,000.00.

This has the great 2.0 liter twin-cam VTEC. The run-of-the-mill Si had 197 hp. The Mugen has a more free-flowing exhaust so its output is probably above 200. It has the awesome Mugen suspension, 18" Mugen wheels, B.F. Goodrich g-Force KDW 215/40ZR18 summer tires, and Mugen front spoiler with canards, sideskirts, and rear wing.

I have covered the nose in 3M protective film. I bought this car as a gift for myself on my 60th birthday but it's time for something new.

Shipping is at buyer's expense although I will coordinate delivery with the shipping company.  All funds must be deposited securely in my account before  car and title are released.  I have a clear title to the vehicle.  A deposit of $1000.00 by PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction end.  I will pay your PayPal fees.  Personal references will be provided if you are uncomfortable with this payment  procedure.

A reasonable reserve has been set which is consistent with the market price for this car.  This is probably the lowest mileage Mugen in the country.  If you want a gorgeous, pristine Mugen, this is it!

Honda CB350 and cafe racer culture explored by Electric Federal

Sun, 20 Oct 2013

The latest video from Electric Federal covers one of our favorite aspects of motorcycle culture - café racers. In an interview with Adam "Gasser" Gaspic, the owner of Gasser Customs, EF takes a look at the culture and one of Gasser's latest offerings, a hopped-up Honda CB350, called the Silver Bullet.
Gasser has gone all-out on the Silver Bullet, replacing some of the body parts with fiberglass and delivering more than a few upgrades to the rebuilt engine. The brakes and suspension of the smaller bike also get some attention, as do some of the bike's aesthetics. Besides the upgrades, there's just something to be said for the sleek, minimalist nature of the little Honda.
Naturally, the videography is gorgeous, and it's a great look at a kind of motorcycling that seems to be overlooked in the world of sport bikes and Harley-Davidson-style cruisers. Take a look below for the full video.

How to charge up your BMW i3 with a Honda

Sat, Sep 13 2014

Behold a cheaper version of BMW's range extender for its i3 plug-in. And it's brought to you by ... Honda? Sort of, if you take the approach that Gadget Review took when it looked for an alternative to ponying up the $4,000 or so for the gas-powered i3 range extender that comes from the factory. What was procured was a Honda portable generator for Home Depot for the experiment, which involved gassing the generator up in a parking lot, plugging in the i3 and going out for a cup of coffee. The result was that, after about a half-hour of charging, the i3 picked up about four miles of driving range. Not exactly revolutionary but it least a bit instructive. And given that Honda generators start at about $800, the idea, while clunky, is potentially cash-saving. Gadget Review briefly took the experiment one-step further by trying to run the generator inside the back of the car and plugging in, complete with a rigged-up ventilation system, but the host thought better of it once he realized that there'd be suffocation involved. Why this was never tried on the Nissan Leaf, we'll never know. Check out Gadget Review's five-minute video below.

Honda could halve its US lineup without crimping its sales much [w/video]

Sat, 18 May 2013

Taking a detailed look at the Honda lineup in the US, it isn't hard to see the strength of some models and the weaknesses of others. A recent report on Autoline Daily points out that its five core models - the Accord, Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Pilot - make up a full 93 percent of Honda's sales in the US. Through April, Honda has sold 419,798 vehicles, and 389,474 of them were from these core models; not to mention the fact that the Accord was the top-selling car in the US last month.
This means that Honda could technically cut six of its 11 models and only lose about 5,000 sales per month. Of course, this is just some data crunching and there is no reason to believe that Honda is planning to kill off any of its models in the near future. In fact, it seems to be committed to the Ridgeline, while Japanese-made models that may actually lose money for Honda still fill unique voids. Scroll down for the video report - fast-forward to the 1:43 mark for the Honda info.
