Up for sale is my 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan.  Cars are my passion, so I take extremely good care of them. This was my daily driver, never auto-crossed or any type of road racing. The aftermarket parts on this car have been chosen very carefully and installed by professionals to keep factory reliability. Hence, a majority of the parts being Acura (Honda's luxury brand) and Skunk2 (been making aftermarket Honda parts for 20 years). Clean Title. Financing available at eBay Motors Financing.

Mechanical parts added/replaced:

  • Honda factory performance suspension installed at 6,491 miles by a Honda dealership

  • Enkei RPF1 17x8.5 +40 wheels (very light weight wheels. aprox. 20-30,000 miles on them. Only driven on in the summer)

  • Ingalls engine torque damper (has aprox. 70,000 miles on it)

  • Stock mounts have been injected with 3M Window Weld (no vibration, helps with shifting and wheel hop)

  • Skunk2 MegaPower race header & wrapped (header has aprox. 78,000 miles on it. Wrap has aprox. 7,000 miles on it)

  • Skunk2 72mm cold air intake (aprox. 7,000 miles on it)

  • Skunk2 pro series intake manifold (aprox. 7,000 miles on it)

  • P2R heatshield gaskets (intake manifold, throttle body)

  • iNVIDIA Q300 70mm exhaust (aprox. 7,000 miles on it)

  • Acura ZDX J37 70mm big bore throttle body (aprox. 7,000 miles on it)

  • Acura RDX 410cc fuel injectors (aprox. 40,000 miles on them)

  • 2008 Acura TSX K24A2 engine w/ 50 degree VTC gear (Replaced at 101,000 miles. Sourced from LKQ. Completely stock engine other than VTC gear. I have the complete carfax report. Engine has aprox. 8,000 less miles on it than the vehicle.)

  • All engine and transmission work has been professionally installed & tuned by a very well known shop in the import tuner scene

Extras:

  • Comes with winter tires on factory 17” rims

  • Comes with special socket for aftermarket wheel lug nuts

  • Comes with Hondata FlashPro ECU reprogrammer module. Plugs into diagnostics the port only when wanting to reflash.

Maintenance:

  • Other than having to replace/fix a few things on the interior, this car has never had anything mechanically break down

  • Clutch and flywheel replaced at 101,000 miles (Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel & stage 2 clutch)

  • New rotors and pads replaced at 95,000 miles (Stoptech slotted rotors & street performance pads)

  • NGK Iridium IX BKR8EIX spark plugs (aprox. 40,000 miles on them)

  • New tires (aprox. 1,000 miles on them)

  • New water pump (aprox. 500 miles on it)

  • New valve cover gasket (aprox. 500 miles on it)

  • New thermostat (aprox. 500 miles on it)

  • New Idler pulley (aprox. 15,000 miles on it)

  • Battery replaced 1/2/2013

  • Transmission 2nd gear grinding recall was done at 31,518 miles by a Honda dealership

  • Transmission was mildly rebuilt at 101,000 miles by the mechanics shop I go to. The common wearable bearings were replaced. This was done while the clutch was being replaced.

  • Last transmission fluid change was at 101,000 miles. I used AMSOIL synthetic synchromesh manual transmission fluid. Super smooth shifts!

  • Last brake fluid changed at approximately 95,000 miles

  • Last oil change at 108,000 miles

  • Air filter is an aftermarket cold air intake (wet type). The filter is reusable and only needs to be cleaned every 50k miles using a “wet type” filter cleaning kit. K&N makes one. Filter is located in the bumper and is accessed fairly easily by jacking the car’s front end up, popping out a few plastic push pins and pulling the splash shield away.

  • Wiper blades replaced (around 30-40k miles on them)

Interior & Exterior parts added/replaced:

  • Honda Factory Performance lip kit installed at 6,491 miles by a Honda dealership

  • 35% tinted front side windows, 15% tinted rear windows

  • Lamin-X Headlight Protective Film - Color: Smoked (removable)

  • Lamin-X Tail Light Covers - Color: Smoke (17%) (removable)

  • Skunk2 Shift Knob

  • Strut King Leather Shift Boot (Red Stitching)

  • Front, rear, and steering wheel JDM red H badges

  • iOttie One-Touch windshield and dashboard car mount

  • Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit w/ Aux Input Jack (3.5 mm) (supports aptX high quality audio)

  • Valve cover old paint stripped to metal and painted with VHT Wrinkle Red

Condition:

  • This car was my daily driver and has never raced at an autocross event or road race.  It’s been down a drag strip a few times to gauge it’s performance, but not since it’s had the transmission rebuilt and K24 motor put in. Half of the miles were put on driving from Columbus to Cincinnati and back everyday for work.

  • Car has 108,778 miles on it. Not currently being driven. I have the complete carfax.

  • Zero accidents or fender benders

  • Absolutely zero rust

  • Never smoked in

  • Interior is in excellent condition! Zero rips, or wear marks anywhere. Small scuffs on plastic may be found where feet touch getting in/out.

  • Vehicle has been thoroughly detailed, washed and waxed

  • Other than the clutch having a bit more grip, this car drives and looks very much like stock, but with 70 more torque.

  • The original parking brake plastic skin was a silver color that eventually wore down in some areas. I replaced it with the non-si version which is a graphite black color. A better look I think and It has no paint on it to wear down.

  • Sun visors have been repaired. Its common for the plastic holding the swivel arm inside the visor to break after so many uses. The fix was to reinforce the broken area on each visor with two screws.  The screws are fairly flush and have been painted to match the color of the visor for a clean look.

  • 3 small dents have been repaired (paintless dent repair) by a well known local company. They are no longer visible leaving this vehicle 100% dent free!

  • Aftermarket stage 2 Clutch & lightweight flywheel makes a slightly audible hum when decelerating at highway speeds. Behaves normally however. Not uncommon, but a stock weight flywheel could be chosen at next clutch change to clear it up. Clutch Masters is also a recommended brand for this vehicle.

  • The paint on the hood and bumper have a normal amount of rock chips you would see on a vehicle with 100k miles on it. Anything larger than a pin head has been touched up (comes with touch up paint). Chips cannot be seen from a few feet away. Everywhere else the paint is in excellent condition.

  • Every functional part of this car is working 100% like it was when it was brand new

Additional Info:

  • Engine puts down approximately 250 BHP / 210 TQ (dynapack measured at 233 wheel horsepower / 199 torque). That’s 50 more horsepower and 70 more torque than a stock Civic Si!! All naturally aspirated. VTEC switch over is at 3600 RPM, redline is 7600 RPM. These K24 engines are capable of reaching 300 wheel horsepower naturally aspirated. All this current engine would need is upgraded camshafts & valve springs, forged rods & pistons (12.5:1 compression max) and a type s oil pump. This would allow you to bring the redline up to 8600.

  • The 2008 K24A2 Acura TSX engine is setup nearly identical to the stock K20Z3 motor, but with .4 more displacement. All the motor accessories (ie, water pump, AC, alternator, sensors, ect…) are the same except that the block is taller. It’s a direct replacement with only having to use a Honda CRV mounting bracket.

  • This Si takes premium gas, just like stock. Still gets 30 mpg highway and 20 city. Mileage may vary depending on how much fun you are having.

  • Exhaust sound is not much different than when it was completely stock with just a honda factory performance axle back. On it now, is the popular iNVIDIA Q300 70mm catback. Known for being one of the quietest on the market yet keeping the free flowing characteristics of other much louder aftermarket exhausts. No exhaust sound cruising through town or on the freeway and some rumble when idling. Most of the engine note at full throttle is heard through the large Skunk2 3” intake. Music to my ears in my opinion.

Acura NSX GT3 non-hybrid racecar on sale soon

Thu, Jul 27 2017

Just over a year ago, Acura debuted the NSX GT3, the FIA GT3-spec racecar based on the automaker's latest and greatest. While it took years for the road car to hit the streets, the NSX GT3 was developed in a relatively short amount of time. This year, the car competed in several races under the factory banner, racking up 50,000 miles and two race victories. Today, Honda and Acura announced the NSX GT3 will go on sale for private teams. Think of the NSX GT3 as a stripped out version of the standard NSX sans hybrid system. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo remains, but, since there are no electric motors up front, all the power is sent to the rear wheels through a XTRAC semi-automatic 6-speed sequential transmission. The chassis is built in Ohio right alongside the regular NSX. The same goes for the engines. The block, heads, valve train, crankshaft, pistons, and dry-sump lubrication system are the same specification as the production car. Final assembly is completed in Italy. This past year, the NSX GT3 competed under the Acura banner in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class and the Pirelli World Challenge GT category. In addition to those series, the car is built to compete in the Blancpain GT Series and 24 Hours Nurburgring in Europe, the Super GT GT300 class in Japan, as well as other GT3-spec race series. Different divisions of Honda will be handling global sales, with HPD responsible for the North American market. US pricing hasn't been announced, but converting the European models start at about $545,000. Now we just want to see a lightened, non-hybrid version of the NSX on the street. McLaren working on P15 supercar to slot between 650S and P1

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

McLaren has been busy these past few years. It launched the MP4-12C in 2011, the 12C Spider in 2012, the P1 in 2013 and (most recently) the 650S in 2014. But it's not about to stop there. It's got an "entry-level" model in the works, set to take on the Porsche 911, and - according to information reported by Car and Driver and confirmed by McLaren in correspondence with Autoblog - a new flagship model, too.
The project is internally codenamed P15, and it calls for a new flagship that will cap the company's lineup once the P1 finishes its limited production run, but carry a price tag in the neighborhood of $500k to slot in between the P1 and the new 650S.
Just how, you wonder, can McLaren possibly develop another supercar each year? Simple: underneath, they're all essentially the same. (Only we're sure it's anything but simple.) That is to say they're all based on the same carbon monocoque structure and powered by the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels. What differentiates them is what the engineers in Woking build around that monocoque and how they tune the engine: +/- 600 horsepower in the 12C (depending on the year it was built), 640 hp in the 650S, or 727 hp in the P1 (with another 177 from the electric assist). The 911 fighter would likely develop in the 500hp range, and the P15 will probably land in the upper 600 (or lower 700) range.
