WE HAVE MANY CNG VEHICLES AVAILABLE

A

Compressed
Natural
Gas

CNG stands for Compressed Natural Gas, the same kind of gas stoves use.

Below is essential information on the benefits associated with owning a natural gas vehicle:

Fuel ranges from $1.49 and $1.89 nationwide. CNG burns clean: no carbon or acid going into your oil. And no liquid fuel to wash oil from top piston ring. Result: engines last so long that shuttle fleets routinely go 300,000 miles and their drivers line up to buy them. Sparkplugs seem to last forever and oil is still yellow when you change it.

Save lots of money at the pumps, Natural Gas is a lot cheaper than regular unleaded gas. You can save lots of money each year, approximately $1 a gallon. During rush-hour, you can jump into the commuter lane by yourself.

CNG itself is a remarkable phenomenon that has been out in the market for more than 10 years now. It's obvious benefits are clean-burning fuel which does not emit many of the impurities that gasoline produces. In addition, it is much more fuel efficient in comparison to gasoline. Because of the clean-burning fuel, it increases the longevity of the vehicle and maintenance intervals are increased; whereas oil and filter changes are required every 3,000-4,000 miles on typical gasoline vehicles, natural gas vehicles require similar oil and filter changes every 9,000-10,000 miles.

Natural Gas vehicles that are uniquely equipped with a clean burning fuel system (Compressed Natural Gas) enables you to save substantially at the pumps (almost half the cost of gasoline) while producing lesser emissions & pollutants to the environment.

In addition, owning a Clean Burning Fuel Vehicle has many other upsides & advantages including:

    - increased longevity on the car (oil changes every 5,000 to 9,000 miles)
    - access to the HOV (carpool lane) with a single occupant (check with your respective states laws)
    - engine components remain a lot cleaner with a clean burning fuel
    - less wear on critical engine components, bringin the cost of maintenance down drastically.
    - state & federal tax incentives (check with your states air resources board)
    - better fuel efficiency in comparison to standard gasoline vehicles; and much more.

Where can I fill my tank with fuel?

To access and locate exact locations of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fuel stations within your locale, you can visit the following links for CNG fueling stations:

For questions concerning the California and State Incentives, please visit the California Air Resources Board site below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm

While we specialize in CNG vehicles, we also offer a selection of Bi-Fuel Vehcles and Regular Gas Vehicles.

What are some of the benefits of driving a CNG or Bi-Fuel Powered Vehicle?

CNG is available in and around most larger cities.

More and more cities and even rural areas are recognizing CNG Vehicles as low emission vechiles. This means you can probably drive in the HOV (carpool) lanes by yourself and leave those gasoline guys sitting in traffic.

CNG costs roughly, about half what an equivalent amount of gasoline costs.

You will also be doing the rest of us a favor because harmful emissions are reduced approximately 70% with the use of CNG.

Bi-Fuel Dual Power A bi-fuel vehicle has two separate fuel systems, one for gasoline or compressed natural gas (CNG). Because CNG stored in pressurized tanks, cannot be simply pumped into the gasoline tank.

The bi-fuel design allows the use of an alternative fuel when available.

The need for two separate fuel systems and a storage tank for a gaseous fuel increases the cost of bi-fuel vehicles and reduces cargo space. But this allows you to run on your lower emissions fuel while having the safety of keeping an emergency reserve of regular gas. This is a commuter life-saver.

A propane tank, for example, is about the size of a spare tire.

Bi-Fuel vehicles which can be alternately powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) or gasoline.

Where low cost CNG is available, however, bi-fuel vehicles can offer a cleaner, more economical alternative to gasoline.

CNG is one of the cleanest of the fossil fuels. Compared to gasoline, its use could bring about a significant reduction in tailpipe emissions of carbon monoxide (about 70%), nitrogen oxides (about 50%), and ozone-causing pollutants (about 90%). In addition, particulate emissions would be almost eliminated.

Bi-Fuel operation with one single engine control unit
Easy switching from CNG to gasoline power
Great potential for reduction of untreated emissions

Recharge Wrap-up: Honda FCV Concept comes to Detroit, Toyota seeks young green energy fellows

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Honda will bring its FCV Concept to the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The hydrogen-powered concept made its Japanese debut in November, and will now make its way to North America for the first time. The FCV concept improves upon the design of the FCX Clarity with a more striking appearance and roomier interior. Its smaller powertrain packaging means more space for people, and the FCV Concept seats five passengers. Honda also expects the next-generation fuel-cell car, which is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in March 2016, to cost less and have a range of over 300 miles. Read more in the press release below. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive has been awarded an environmental certificate from the TUV Sud technical inspection authority. The certificate is based not just on the vehicle's operation, but the entire lifecycle of the car, including production and recycling. The B-Class Electric Drive produces 24 percent less CO2 over its lifecycle than the Mercedes-Benz B180 when using the EU electricity mix, and 64 percent less when powered by hydroelectricity. Mercedes credits not just the use of electricity, but also the car's energy management system - such as its radar-based regenerative braking - for its carbon reductions. Read more in the press release below. Scania will test a wirelessly charged plug-in hybrid bus in Sweden. Beginning in June 2016, the bus will be put to daily use in Sodertalje. One of its stops will have a wireless charging station where the bus will recharge for six to seven minutes before continuing on its route again. The charger is located under the road surface and the bus positions itself above it to charge inductively. About $1.3 million will come from the Swedish Energy Agency to fund the test project, which could save up to 90 percent of fuel costs. If expanded to a fleet of 2,000 buses, it could save up to 13 million gallons of fuel each year. Read more at Green Car Congress, and in the press release below. Sandia National Laboratories and Linde are teaming up to expand hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The two groups have signed an agreement to research and develop new hydrogen stations, as well as ways to make fuel cell vehicles more desirable for consumers. They are looking at ways to incorporate hydrogen into existing fuel stations where possible, and make sure that it is able to be done safely.

Volkswagen's latest ad is not subtle | Autoblog Podcast #509

Fri, Mar 24 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are joined by special guest James Riswick, who has been driving a lot of new cars lately. All of them are discussed, plus a few more from Mike and David, and Mike rants a bit about a new VW Atlas commercial. The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, during which David briefly goes out into left field. (He's back now, don't worry.) The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) Wagon Attack's crappy Civic Wagon meets its end in Iceland

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Several years ago, we posted a video on a dumpy, all-wheel-drive, turbocharged Honda Civic Wagon that starred in a film called Wagon Attack II. The video showed the rusty, red five-door tackling terrain that no Civic has any business driving on, and doing it with flair and style.
Now, the team that produced the original video are back, with Wagon Attack III. The latest video is packed full of goodness for wagon lovers of any stripe. Where the last video saw the turbocharged wagon in Michigan, though, this time it's been shipped to Iceland, where it's flung about on the beaches and dirt roads of the volcanic island.
The video has a bit of a sad ending, though. You'll need to watch it and see what we mean. We've got the entire video down below. Take a look.
