You are bidding on a 2003 Honda Civic. It gets incredible gas mileage at 35/ mpg on the highway! The automatic transmission drives beautifully. The interior of the car is in great condition, with clean and comfortable cloth seats. There is some artificial exterior damage (scratches in paint, some rusting on hood) but overall the car looks great! I have owned this car since 2004 and have had no issues, other than maintenance. I have been consistent with oil changes, and have had the radiator, timing belt, brake pads, battery, and oxygen sensor replaced as the vehicle has aged. The tires are all within 1-2 years of age, and are in great condition. The car comes with power windows, CD player, two cup holders, dual vanity mirrors, and rear defogger. This car has been in a non-smoking, non-kid environment for almost ten years.

I bought the car with a salvaged title, but it has been a dependable vehicle for the past nine years! The vehicle report will show 4 owners- 3 of which are my mom and me. My mom bought this car for me when I was in high school in 2004. She later deeded the title to me when I moved to Virginia. I had to transfer the title to New Jersey when I moved here in 2011.

There are a few minor repairs that need to be done, and that's why I've taken $500 off the Blue Book value.  One of the seals on the transmission needs to be replaced. This is a simple repair that will be under $250 to make. Otherwise, this car has been extremely reliable and I have loved driving it!

Payment Terms:

The successful high bidder will submit a $500 non-refundable deposit within 3 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees 499 and taxes) within 5 days of the close of the auction. Vehicle cannot be delivered until Wednesday, August 21st.

THIS IS A USED CAR AND IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTEES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME DUE TO PRIOR LOCAL SALE. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE PRIOR TO BIDDING. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING!!!!

2014 Honda Accord Hybrid [w/video]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Delivering On Promises
The 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid should surprise no one. Its look is something we've seen since the non-hybrid versions went on sale last year. Its powertrain, mostly, we are familiar with from the already-on-sale Accord Plug-In model. And the overall vibe of the car? Well, it's an Accord, which has been a strong seller in the US for three decades, so much so that there's a very good chance you've been in one at some point, whether you noticed or not.
Honda's first attempt at an Accord Hybrid, released in 2005, put dynamic performance first, but it didn't match the public's maturing perception of what a hybrid is all about: fuel economy. The 2005 version was capable of a measly 28 miles per gallon combined, 25 in the city and 33 on the highway. Remember those numbers, and that the first-generation Accord Hybrid lasted all of three model years before being axed.

Honda profit targets tumble in wake of Takata scandal

Fri, Jan 30 2015

Takata's massive airbag inflator recall will likely do some damage to Honda's bottom line this year, according to the Japanese automaker's latest forecasts. The company will allocate 50 billion yen ($425 million) to fulfill costs related to the safety campaigns, Reuters indicates. The decision will reduce estimated operating profit by about 6.5 percent to 720 billion yen ($6.1 billion US) for the fiscal year ending March 31. In addition to lower profits, Honda also cut back its sales estimate for the year to 4.45 million vehicles from the previous 4.62 million, according to Reuters. This was largely due to lower-than-expected demand in Japan. "We are not seeing a big impact on sales in North America from the airbag issue," company vice president Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured above) told Reuters. The decreased forecasts come at the same time as the possibility of another death in a Honda vehicle from the Takata parts. According to Automotive News, a man in Florida died in a crash in his 2002 Accord, but investigators have not yet determined whether the inflator was the cause. However, the vehicle was included in a 2011 recall for the part and was not repaired. The family intends to file a lawsuit alleging the inflator ruptured, spraying metal shrapnel into the driver's neck. Reportedly, the owner was never notified of the recall. While the Takata inflator recall is affecting many companies with alleged links to at least five deaths and 139 injuries worldwide, Honda has it among the worst. Including vehicles covered under the previous regional repair campaign for the issue, the automaker needs to repair roughly 5.4 million vehicles just in the US. Honda has taken action by employing suppliers other than Takata to supply some of its replacement parts for the recall. The business is also reportedly switching airbag suppliers for the next-gen Accord and possibly the 2016 CR-V and Odyssey.
