Up for sale is our Honda Civic Si and this Si has a custom wrap job on it, using matte red and carbon fiber! The car is a great head turner and looks amazing, the carbon fiber hood, roof, wing and accents look really nice on the red matte finish that was done on the body! This Si also has tinted rear tail lights, front projector lights and tinted side marker lights. The wrap was done using the best vehicle wrap material available so you are assured many years of a great exterior appearance. The vehicle wrap is very easy to care for as regular soap and water washes anything off the surface! Attention to deal was added to this vehicle when even the emblems were wrapped to match the rest of the car! There is no major dings or dents in the body as you can see from the pictures and all glass is in perfect shape, all lights work and no scratches on the wrap at all! On the inside this Civic Si has more carbon fiber accents that were done as well, giving it a great look! There is also a Pioneer double din TV/DVD player that is also the radio, so you have great sound and the ability to watch movies right in the vehicle! All new speakers were added to the vehicle as well! Interior is in great shape with only some wear and tear on the driver front seat that you can see in the pictures! rest of interior is in great shape! This Si is in great running shape and look under the hood , you can see it was wall taken care of and yes it does have some power under the hood as well for a civic, no performance accessories or work has been done , so you are assured a Si that was not beat on or raced! Factory rims and tires are in great shape with very little wear and tear as well. This Si does have some highway mileage on it and currently has 186,000 miles on which comes out to about 15,000 miles per year which is about the average mileage, but we all know Honda vehicles and motors and this Si has alot of life left in it for sure! Overall this is a great Civic Si that will turn some heads and be a unique vehicle and alot of fun to own and drive! Factor in the cost of the book value of this vehicle and then add in the vehicle wrap, carbon fiber accessories and accents and then the audio/video products and i think you will see this is going to be a great buy for anyone that is looking for a nice priced fun sports car and still great on gas! Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.
Mom Accidentally Steals Honda In Brooklyn
Thu, Apr 17 2014The owner of a 1993 Honda Accord that was accidentally stolen by a young Brooklyn woman's mother has the car back in her possession, after amusing posters popped up all over town. Cheryl Thorpe traveled to New York from her home in Houston to watch her daughter's dog while she and her roommates went on vacation, according to New York Magazine. Thorpe was also left the task of moving the three girls' cars to legal parking spots on a street-cleaning day. She dutifully moved the Fiat, Honda CR-V and Accord, but when the trio returned from their vacation something was wrong. The owner of the Accord found her car right where she left it, thankfully free of parking tickets. The Accord Thorpe had moved belonged to someone else. As it turns out, some older Hondas have interchangeable keys. Thorpe was able to use the girl's keys to move Emily Hickert's car while she ate brunch. Hickert spent an entire week thinking a professional car thief had made off with her 21-year-old ride. "In less than 40 seconds she gets in the car and goes," Hickert told The New York Post, after reviewing security footage from a nearby business. "I thought she was a professional." Hickert filed a police report, while Thorpe's daughter posted fliers all over Brooklyn looking for the Accord's owner. Hickert was eventually reunited with her Honda, which had been towed after sitting parked on the street. She says she bears no ill will towards the women involved in the mix up. "I'm not upset with her," Hickert told The Post. "I'm glad it wasn't a thief. I just didn't know why anyone would steal a 1993 Honda." Honda CEO says we shouldn't expect any new sports cars
Tue, 19 Nov 2013It wasn't so long ago that Honda was known for its sporty two-door models, with models ranging from the Civic del Sol to the Prelude and from the Acura Integra and RSX to the Honda S2000. But look at its range today and all you'll see are the Civic and Accord coupes. Honda has essentially let competitors like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ and Nissan 370Z take the place it once claimed as its own. But if you were hoping Honda would fight back with a new coupe or convertible of its own, we're afraid you're going to have to downgrade those hopes to pipe dreams.
While in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog had a chance to sit down with American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured at right). When we asked about the potential for a new sports coupe or convertible in the Honda or Acura lineup, he pointed to the current Civic and Accord coupes - not to mention the upcoming new NSX - but said that Honda has no replacement for any of the aforementioned models (or a rival for the FR-S or 370Z) in the pipeline, saying only that the company is monitoring potential demand.
What Iwamura-san did note was that he's a personal fan of the new S660 roadster (pictured above) set to be unveiled tomorrow, and he is pushing (or at least hoping) that it will come to North America. Given that he's head of both Honda's American office and its global automobile operations, one might think that the only person he would have to persuade is himself (well... himself, and potential buyers), but the sporty droptop looks to be about kei-sized, which sadly suggests that it may be too small for American tastes and perhaps not designed with US crash-test standards in mind anyway.
