2000 Honda Civic Ex Coupe Black Auto 162k Great Reliable Car! Read Description! on 2040-cars
Ozone Park, New York, United States
Up for auction is my mother's 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe with black exterior, grey interior, automatic transmission with over 162K miles. Vehicle is mechanically sound but cosmetically poor. Upside is everything is stock and untampered with. Rusting on driver's side door, dents on various parts of the car and scratches on the bumpers (see pics). Hood is black but unpainted. Headlight cracked. Driver side window not working. Everything else on the car is fully functional. Car was in minor accident in 2001, over 13 years ago where the quarter panel was hit, and is still there (see pic). Still a clear New York State title. Aside from the cosmetics of the car, it has been very reliable and get can you from point A to B easily. Engine is fast and strong and so this could also be a great fixer upper for someone who is into fine tuning cars. No reserve. Car is located in Ozone Park (Queens), New York and can be picked up at any time. Feel free to email me with any questions, I will be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for looking and have a great day! NOTE TO BIDDER: PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU CAN PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END. I NEED THE PAYMENT FOR MEDICAL BILLS AND CANNOT AFFORD TO WASTE ANY TIME, SO PLEASE BE COURTEOUS OF MY SITUATION. THANK YOU. |

NSX Concept-GT is the world's hottest way to boil water
Sat, 05 Oct 2013The Honda NSX Concept-GT is one sexy machine, and it looks to be a very effective tool on a race circuit. But Honda's latest web spot leads us to believe that it also can be used to make tea.
In the video, the racecar is hooked up to an apparatus that uses tubing to harness the energy from the car's 500-horsepower hybrid drive system, using it to boil water. The novel tea-making technique reminds us a bit of a couple other inventive Honda commercials, namely Hands and Cog.
Watch the NSX ad below, and be sure to turn the sound up to hear that glorious engine note.
Finalists for 2014 Green Car of the Year announced
Thu, 17 Oct 2013The list of finalists for the 2014 Green Car of the Year has been announced, and in a genuinely bizarre twist, there's only one hybrid and no electric vehicles among the five contestants, despite the arrival of cars like the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S. Taking the place of the EVs are a pair of diesels, repping a technology that last won a Green Car of the Year award in 2009, when the Audi A3 TDI took the title. No diesel was in the running for last year's award.
Naturally, both of the diesel finalists are fielded by the Germans - with BMW's 328d and Audi's A6 TDI getting the nod. In the case of the 3 Series, BMW installed a 2.0-liter, turbodiesel, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while returning 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Audi and its larger, 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel produce quite a bit more grunt, with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of grunt, but net a very impressive 38 mpg on the highway in the A6.
Finalists for this year's awards include two diesels, three gas-powered cars and a plug-in hybrid.
Honda invests $215M in Ohio Earth Dreams production
Fri, 09 Aug 2013Honda has announced a $215 million investment in a pair of its Ohio operations, taking its total tally for North American operations up to $2.7 billion in three years. The announcement was made at the 2013 Center For Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City.
$180 million of the investment is earmarked for Honda's Anna, OH engine plant. The money will allow the facility to increase its aluminum die casting and increase production of Honda's Earth Dreams Technology engines. Think of Earth Dreams as sort of like Mazda's Skyactiv line, only ED is limited to a new line of engines, rather than a full suite of automotive components. Anna will also be getting a new technical center to train engineers, techs, and line workers on powertrain technology.
The remaining $35 million is slated for Honda's main Ohio operations in Marysville. A 160,000-square-foot facility will be constructed near Honda's current properties, which will house another technical training center to focus on automotive manufacturing. The new building will also house Honda's North American Services group, as well as a new heritage center.
