For Sale: 1995 Honda Civic DX Sedan

I am selling a '95 Honda Civic sedan with Automatic transmission. I don't like reading the bad last so I'm gonna list it first.

The Bad:
  • Needs the Head Gasket replaced. I have the gasket and a new set of ARP Head Studs. The only thing you need to do is the work. Car is driveable though and does not overheat. BUT, I wouldn't drive it for long periods because you just never know when it comes to heads.
  • Body looks like someone sucked horribly at painting. I have counted 3 layers of paint so far.
  • AC needs recharged. I would start with that and work my way up. Honestly, I haven't even looked at it yet. There is a junk yard new compressor that has been recently installed.
  • Needs struts.
  • Looks like it was backed into a wall when you get underneath it but the body is straight so is the frame.

The Good:
  • Brand new timing belt!
  • Brand new Water pump!
  • New tension pulley!
  • New valve cover gasket!
  • Brand Spankin' new Yokohama YK580 tires! Less than 30 miles on them!
  • Brand new wheels, also less than 30 miles on them.
  • Brand New Steering rack!
  • Brand New steering rack pressure line.
  • Performance Sideview mirrors.
  • Brand new Radio that is wired correctly! None of that cut and splice crap.
  • Interior is decent but not excellent. (See Pics)
  • Brand New IACV
  • Brand New FITV
  • New Exterior Door Handles (currently have 2 installed with the other two still in the box).
  • Brand New 2 row Aluminum radiator.
  • Brand New Triple Core spark plug wires.
  • Brand new NGK VPower spark plugs.
  • All new fluids, including Honda OEM Power Steering fluid (If you know Honda's you'll understand this).
What you get in extras:
  • Brand New metal Head Gasket! (I didn't cheap out on parts as you can see)
  • Brand New ARP head studs.
  • A set of pulled tail lamp housings. It doesn't need them but you get them anyway.
  • Box full of Misc screws, bolts, belts, dirt and dust.

Exterior: 4/10
Interior: 6/10
Mechanical: 8/10

This Civic is a great car to drive around. It does need paint and the head gasket installed but other than that, you'll enjoy this great car for another 200,000 miles. If you need more pictures please ask, I'll be more than happy to post them up. Also, this car is for sale locally too so the auction can be pulled early. If this bothers you too much, please send me a message and I will let you know how much it sold for and maybe you can counter offer.

Good luck everyone and thanks for looking!

And now, the pictures:

Honda HR-V gets early reveal

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

If the Honda HR-V feels awfully familiar to you by now, you're not alone. We've seen it debut in Japanese form (dubbed "Vezel"), caught a prototype in Paris, and Honda first showed us the US-spec version in press-photo form all the way back at the New York Auto Show in April. We're finally going to get all the details on Honda's new subcompact crossover this week as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but first, we're getting an early look at the CUV today.
We met the Honda HR-V for a cup of coffee this morning at Randy's Donuts just outside of Los Angeles, and got our first look at the new CUV in the metal. It's a handsome little thing, offering a higher-riding, more butch alternative to the Fit hatchback on which it's based. We particularly like how the rear door handles are integrated into the pillars, for an almost three-door look from some angles.
Technical details are still scarce as of this writing, though we expect those to be revealed during Honda's press conference on Wednesday. For now, we just know that the HR-V should be an incredibly practical little thing, using the Magic Seat system that has made the Fit such a versatile and capacious subcompact. Stay tuned for more, and see the HR-V from all angles in our live gallery, above.

McLaren-Honda drops the bling for stealth F1 livery

Wed, May 6 2015

Watch a Formula One grand prix and you can instantly tell which are the McLarens, visible as they are from a mile away with their reflective chrome livery. But that's all about to change as the British team has dropped the chrome in favor of the more subdued livery you see here. Unveiled in time for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix, the new McLaren livery replaces the bling with a gray so dark that it borders on black. The red accents remain, albeit in a revised pattern. The new livery promises to be less reflective at sunset and flood-lit night races especially, while providing more of a visual break from the Mercedes era now that the team is powered once again by Honda. McLaren first adopted the silver and black livery in 1997 after Marlboro (with its white and red livery) left for Ferrari and the West tobacco brand was brought in instead. The team parted company with West after the ban on tobacco advertising in sports was instituted in Europe in 2005, inserted some red into the livery and replaced the flat silver with chrome. This weekend's race will mark the first time in a decade, then, that McLaren will be racing without the chrome. Acura NSX GT3 to make public debut this week at Mid-Ohio

Wed, Jul 27 2016

The new Acura NSX had a very long and very public gestation period. The car went through a number of redesigns and revisions, all while enthusiasts watched and waited. With the production version just now ramping up for customer deliveries, Acura revealed that it was working on a race car for FIA GT3 homologation. While the car was shown in New York, no one outside of Honda has seen it testing on track. This week, the NSX GT3 will make its public testing debut at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course ahead of the Pirelli World Challenge and IndyCar races. View 13 Photos While the car will be on track during testing and practice sessions, it won't actually be competing with the rest of the field. The car is still in the testing phase and won't be fully FIA approved until at least September. Acura is confident that the car will make its racing debut in 2017. The company also made it clear that this is not the final version of the car and that things like aero and engine tuning are still being worked out. Until now, the NSX GT3 has only tested at private events in Europe, Japan and the US. This week, the NSX GT3 will be piloted by Dutch racing driver Peter Kox. Kox drives for RealTime Racing, a team that currently campaigns an Acura TLX GT. This week's car will be the primary tester, though if something goes sideways there are multiple backup cars. The NSX GT3 differs in a number of ways from the road car, most notably its lack of hybrid all-wheel drive system. The NSX GT3 uses the same twin-turbocharged V6 as the road car, but sends all the power through the rear wheels. It also uses the same space frame as the road car. While the road going version receives final assembly in Honda's Ohio factory, final touches to the GT3 car are done elsewhere. Although the car will only be testing on Thursday and Friday, it will be on display all weekend in the paddock.
