If you want to make a deal,

pick up the phone and talk your serious offer.

702-353-7500

I don't respond nicely to lame emails that ask:

 "What's your reserve?"

"What's your bottom line?"

"What's the least you'll take?"

"What's your bottom dollar?"

"Do you have a Buy-it-Now?"

"What's it take to buy it?"

"What's you asking price?"

Emailing you a figure will not happen but we can converse about it.

It's a flippin' Auction! That means...your number counts...not mine.

Oh, and by the way, if you've sent me an email with one of the lame questions above, I'll instantly presume you haven't taken the time to even read the content of the listing and that you have no intention of buying at any relevant market value figure. 26 Years in the business has taught me that serious buyers read every line, look at every picture and research well enough on their own to feel confident to make offers.

Our presentations are unmatched and we cater to the serious buyers.

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN WORK YOUR DEAL IS TO CALL ME!

My vehicles are so unique and rare that knowing what it should sell for is nearly impossible.

That's why eBay's auctions...with serious buyers making offers...works it's magic.

Back-story from the owner...

So, you have been looking for the nicest, best kept and maintained Honda Accord EX Coupe you can find...and you are here on eBay because you have already seen and passed up a bunch in your neck of the woods that were all less than even your lowest expectation of quality. I know how you feel. Every week I go to specialty and dealer-only auctions to find the best of the best in what I call "niche autos". I'll see roughly 1500-3000 local cars on my lists every week and only find a handful of treasures. First, I sit at my desk and overview the online lists and cherry pick the cars I've come to know are hard to find and great for my business model of exclusively marketing on eBay. Older low mileage cars and cream puffs are always hitting my list when they show up. Two to three a week may show up between the three major auctions as well as a few local classifieds. But seeing them on a list and actually looking at them can reveal a very different story. The true test of finding a spectacular car includes years of experience in professionally appraising them as I have; 27 years to be exact. I am extremely picky about what I buy. Ownership history, service history and condition, condition, condition are very important to me. All too often, great cars are not cared for as well as they should be...but some are. This is one needle-in-a-hay-stack you won't want to let slip past you. Spectacular paint, stunning original interior, low mileage that's unheard of, modern looks and class, not to mention the reconditioning we did that you won't need to do...what more could you want? A great deal? OK, got that covered too. No, you will not be buying this car for wholesale or low book values, but you and I already know you get what you pay for. In today's world of used Honda Accords, finding a $4000 to $7000 car that needs nothing and will be exceptionally reliable...is like finding an honest politician...and even if you do, it'll have well over a 100k miles on it. So if that's your budget, be prepared to find and drive your local junk as you won't find me selling it for that here online. If you want unmatched quality, service care and condition, this car is a rare find. Listen to what Foy, our writer had to say about his weekend in this car.  Then really look at the service history recorded below and the maintenance we did. Look at every picture very carefully and see the stunning condition up close and personal...then make your call with your offer; you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for reading and getting to know us.

Lowest mileage, finest condition 2001 Honda Accord EX/V6 coupe available for purchase anywhere at any price?

It's not often I dare use such strong language describing a 13-year old vehicle but this unbelievable Honda is in a class by itself.  It has been my pleasure to enjoy this Accord as a daily driver and to say I'm impressed is an understatement.  This Satin Silver beauty landed at Hansel Honda in Petaluma, California some time in the fall of 2000 and today, the digital odometer stands at just 24,320 . . .

Averaging 5-miles a day since new = cream puff, defined.

The terms "used" or even "pre-owned" simply do not apply.  With miles this low you expect a nice car but it's more than that.  The body is beautifully smooth, the paint is gorgeous and panel seams are factory tight.  Inside; spectacular condition, leather trim and from behind the wheel there is absolutely nothing seen or touched that even remotely suggests "used" . . .

Sleek 2-door style, proven Honda reliability and performance.

Touch the key and the 3.0 liter VTEC V6 engine springs to life, settling to a near silent idle.  The leather wrapped steering wheel shows none of the wear seen in most used vehicles and being an EX, you're surrounded with power conveniences and top level leather comfort . . .

Most dealers won't spend the money . . .

During initial inspection, the tires at first appeared great, having plenty of tread.  A closer look however, revealed cracks in the rubber, a sure sign of age and heat that can lead to catastrophic separation at highway speeds.  Given the exceptionally low mileage, these were likely the original tires on the car when new and with so little wear showing, most dealers would not spend the money for safer tires.  We are not most dealers so, you get brand new tires all around . . .

V6 oomph for the few.

Twin tailpipes and a badge on the deck lid indicate this Accord has a 3.0 liter V6 in place of the standard 4-cylinder engine.  As good as Honda's base 2.3 liter is, the larger 24-valve V6 changes the fundamental character of the car and it's nice to have under hood muscle to match it's sporty 2-door appearance.  Silky smooth at any RPM, (think Lexus) VTEC technology gives this coupe an authoritative shove to the backside along with an EPA estimated 28 mpg on the highway . . .

Nice rear . . .

6th generation Accord (1998-2002) styling has so far stood the test of time, aging slowly and looking years newer than it actually is.  The coupe's rear-end treatment is especially attractive and in fact, this particular car is so handsome, objectivity vanishes from most prospective buyers.  After just a few minutes behind the wheel, I simply wanted to own it.  I still do, actually . . .

Where are you going to find another like it?

Do we need to state the obvious?  After wading through the trash on eBay, it won't take long to see that this Honda is one of absolutely none.  It is entirely possible this is the only Accord V6 coupe in this condition with miles this low in existence.  True, there may be a better/lower mileage Accord sitting in a garage somewhere (as this car apparently did for over a decade) but this is the only one to come out of hiding at this time that you can grab right now!  Beautiful to see, smart to be seen in, it is everything we say it is and I was searching for excuses to put off having to give the keys back.  It suited my life perfectly and it will be a flawless fit for yours too.  With only 24,320 gentle miles, book values and high mileage comps are meaningless.  There simply is no valuation or accurate comparison for a car at this rare level of quality.  Where are you going to find another like it?

You're NOT...so pick up the phone and let's make a deal. 99% of my cars are sold to the early birds that make the phone calls with their fair offers already in mind. If your idea is to wait until the auction ends to see what someone else with willing to bid or willing to offer...you will not be the owner of this car; someone else will be. If you have no idea what to offer, I don't have nor do I post selling prices. How in the heck can I with a car like this that has no relevant comparables. If you think any book value is relevant, call the owners of those "Value Guideline" sites and have them buy one for you out of their inventory. When they can't because they are not in the business for searching the western United States for one of a kind cream puffs like I do, then pick up your phone and let's just figure out a price together based on your offers and make it happen. Don't be shy, I won't bite and I am the nicest guy on the other end of the line that just wants to see you get the car of your dreams,; just like I did when I got this one.

Honda calls this color, Charcoal.  I call it perfect.

The steering wheel, seats, the shifter and even the door panels are trimmed in gorgeous leather that is a little more than gray but not quite black.  You slip sumptuously into this up-level coupe much as you would an S-class Mercedes or 7-Seires Bimmer.  Indeed; switchgear and various buttons all snick with the same satisfying precision and you're going to love the perfectly weighted feel of the variable assist power rack and pinion steering.  The CD audio system has an in-dash 6-disc changer so there'll be no stopping and running around to the trunk for new tunes.  And, if you still have cassettes from back in the day, it can play Stray Cats and Humble Pie just as easily.  Also, ice cold air conditioning . . .

There is a small rip on the driver's seat (you may have to look at this pic a while to see it) but there is practically nothing else in here that is not new-car sharp.  Everything works, nothing is broken . . .

There it is folks - 1,800 miles a year or 36 miles a month; however you average it, this is very low mileage . . .

3.0 Liter SOHC VTEC V6

200 horsepower @ 5,500/195 ft-lb torque @ 4,700 RPM

Fully finished trunk and the rear seat split-folds down 60/40.  And, we're going to brag again about the new tires . . .

Perfection.

Does this look like a brand new car or what?

How many sellers show the underside of the car?  How many sellers' cars look like this underneath?

Your welcome . . .

These pictures are before we had the bumpers painted/blended.  A one-owner, more than likely an elderly one, (there was retired military evidence and Ex-POW items left with the car) and low mileage diamond like this deserves to look good at every corner and we thought you'd appreciate our taking care of this for you. My guess is that grandpa had a hard time turning into parking lot spaces and had to apologize often for the scuffs he left on other owners cars.

A note from the owner.

I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I’m an automobile enthusiast.  I love original rare and high quality modified vintage cars and over the past decade I’ve been in business, have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles.  I specialize in and am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners.  I have an experienced eye for quality but I’ve discovered that my preferred buyer can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.  Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the bidder, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle.  If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won’t do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.

With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may at first glance appear.  It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list.  To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner and Chris, owner of A-Best Auto Repair in Henderson, Nevada has my back.  He and his crew can fix anything; from a low budget beater to the absolute most expensive exotic you can name, no job is too big and no small detail unimportant.  They do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and nothing escapes their methodical investigation.  Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about me.  Moreover; it allows my writer to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless he thinks it is true.  If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one.  I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction.

After the vehicle is fully sorted it arrives at our facility where it encounters the suspicious eye of Tom, my writer that creates the presentations you see on eBay.  He believes absolutely nothing I or anyone else tells him about the car as he combs over every inch, researches its history and documents originality and authenticity.  Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty.  Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 150 high resolution pictures that I take myself.  The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I’ve developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch.  I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep.  Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they so meticulously clean.  This reconditioning can sometimes take several days and I’ve converted a paint booth, especially prepared for the professional clay bar and polishing each car lovingly receives.

Usually, I’ll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing.  If it’s a fast car, we film it going fast.  If it’s a 4x4 you’ll see it crawling up a hill.  In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch the temperature fall on a digital, laser thermometer pointed at an air conditioning vent.  How many “dealers” will video a Lotus Esprit doing a buck-eighty?  We do.

No “dealer,” on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level.  No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information.  I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase, that my vehicle is for real and what I say is the truth.  All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact.  I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay.  To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it.

If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500.  If your inquiry is sincere and your offer  serious, you’ll find me the most accommodating business partner you’ve ever dealt with.  If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or “what is my bottom line” I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation.  Until you are ready to actually pull the trigger, I will happily quote you the absolute highest nationally advertised suggested retail price I can find – a number we both know will not buy the car so, don’t waste your time, or mine.  I am after all, a “used car dealer.”

Serious buyers know the maximum they can offer.  I then must simply decide if I can sell for that number.

If you hit the reserve, the decision is no longer mine.  I must sell at that number.

Watch Honda lay waste to world's fastest lawnmower record

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Honda has been working on its high-performance Mean Mower for a while now. In a recent attempt to take the top speed title, it didn't make its 130-miles-per-hour top speed target, but it still managed to set a new Guinness World Record has the world's fastest lawnmower at 116.57 mph. While the video certifying the run was uploaded to YouTube on April 1, this is no prank. The Guinness run was made on March 8 at the Idiafa Proving Ground in Tarragona, Spain.
To claim the record, the lawnmower had to run through a 100-meter speed trap, and it had to make two passes in opposite directions within an hour with the average taken between them. Guinness also specifies that to take the title the vehicle must still be able to cut grass and look like a lawnmower. The speed was still plenty to beat the previous record of 96.529-mph set by Bobby Cleveland on a Snapper race mower at the Bonneville Salt Flats in September 2010.
The Mean Mower is based on a Honda HF2620 Lawn Tractor that's been modified by British Touring Car Championship squad Team Dynamics. It has a newly fabricated chassis from 4130 chromoly steel and packs a 1.0-liter engine from a Honda VTR Firestorm motorcycle with a six-speed sequential gearbox. The engine produces 109 horsepower and 71 pound-feet of torque - enough power to reach 60 mph in around four seconds. The suspension and wheels come from an ATV, and the cutter deck has been remade in fiberglass. The grass bag holds the fuel tank, oil cooler and secondary radiator. The engine no longer actually cuts grass. Instead, the blade is driven by two electric motors.

Honda planning a second Vezel for developing markets

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

The new Honda Vezel was designed as a global product. Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, the compact crossover is already going on sale in Japan, will soon reach Europe and will eventually hit the North American market as well - albeit with a different name and engine lineup. But it won't be sold everywhere.
According to Autocar India, the Vezel was originally earmarked to reach the emerging market on the subcontinent, but the declining value of the rupee has apparently forced Honda to rethink its strategy. Instead, the Japanese automaker is now expected to develop a second compact crossover - one more cost-effective to produce locally - for sale in India and other, nearby developing markets.
The new model would be based on the Brio, a hatchback that's smaller than the Fit (on which the Vezel is based) and built in India, Thailand and Indonesia. Honda has already enlarged the Brio's platform to create the Amaze sedan and Mobilio minivan. Building a crossover on the same platform would reportedly require some re-engineering - particularly around the wheel wells - but would apparently still be more cost-effective than importing the Vezel.

Race recap: 2016 Belgian Grand Prix is a dozen angry laps

Mon, Aug 29 2016

The calm of the Formula One summer break ended with the tumult of the Belgian Grand Prix. The first two days included unusual tire pressures and grid penalties; Mercedes-AMG Petronas' Lewis Hamilton started 21st because of a 55-place grid penalty for engine and gearbox changes, McLaren's Fernando Alonso started 22nd due to a 60-place penalty for the same offenses. The bedlam rolled right into what was effectively an 11-or 12-lap race. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg took off from pole and the cameras barely bothered with him until he took the checkered flag 44 laps later. Red Bull's Max Verstappen bogged from second on the grid, got swallowed by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen on the way to Turn 1, then attempted to recover by sticking his Red Bull's nose between Raikkonen's sidepod and the apex at the first corner. Vettel, who didn't see Verstappen, turned into La Source leaving only enough room for Raikkonen. Three cars don't fit in a space for two cars. Vettel spun, Raikkonen and Verstappen clobbered one another and all three drivers had to pit for repairs. Force India's Nico Hulkenberg zig-zagged his way into second ahead of Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, Williams' Valtteri Bottas, and Sergio Perez in the second Force India. On Lap 6 Kevin Magnussen lost his Renault at Raidillon at the top of Eau Rouge and flew backward into an enormous crash. Magnussen escaped with just a cut ankle. The Safety Car paraded the field for four laps before officials red flagged the race to repair the barriers. When racing resumed on Lap 10, Rosberg led Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Alonso, and Hamilton. Ricciardo stayed ahead of Hamilton to keep second place at the end of the race, Hamilton easily got around Alonso and Hulkenberg to lock up third. Hulkenberg – who'd given up second to Ricciardo by pitting during the Safety Car period – earned another career-best fourth position ahead of teammate Perez in fifth, followed by Vettel and Alonso on recovery drives, Bottas, Raikkonen, and Felipe Massa taking 10th in the second Williams. Rosberg reignited his Driver's Championship charge with the victory, closing to nine points of leader Hamilton. We could argue that Hamilton had an equally good day by driving from 21st to third, limiting his loss to only 10 points. About that Verstappen, though... We've seen far more experienced drivers attempt the same move Verstappen made into Turn 1 – Raikkonen on Bottas in Russia in 2015, for instance.
