This is the kind of auction eBay is made for! This No-Reserve auction is for a 2004 Honda Accord EX-V6 Sedan with only 93,148 miles. This car is all original. The "accident" that shows up was the rear bumper was repainted due to a 5 MPH collision. I have all the paperwork from the accident to prove that. We purchased this car new from the local Honda dealer in September 2004. It was recently gifted by my father to me.

The condition of the car is very, very good. The interior is like new as the pictures will show. The exterior is excellent for a car of this age. Zero rust! There is some very slight hail damage at the front of the hood; I did my best to show this with the pictures. It is noticable from an angle. I have never inquired to see if this could be repaired because it never bothered me. There are a few very very minor scratches and door dings which are hardly noticeable, but in the interest of disclosure I want to list them. It looks and drives like a car that is one or two years old, inside and out.

We have service records dating back to when the car was new. Service might be the wrong word to use because, amazingly, this car has never had service done which was not routine maintenance! I am a car buff and I washed the car every week and did most of the service myself.

At 90,000 miles I gave it a Full synthetic oil change along with a full synthetic transmission fluid drain and fill.

The battery was replaced 12/12 with the largest battery that will fit in the vehicle.

Coolant was replaced within the last 3 months.

Front brake pads replaced last month, brake fluid was flush and filled with synthetic DOT 3

Power steering fluid was drained and filled with synthetic fluid.

Air filter was replaced within the last 3 months with Purolator Pure One Unit

Cabin filter was replaced within the last year

Car has factory rubber winter mats installed, and also has original floor mats that are in like new condition (since I left the rubber mats in all year)

Tires are in good condition

Every feature of the car inside and out works as it should. All exterior lights work. The one item that doesn't work as it should is that the light on the driver side seat warmer button does not light at night (but the heat warmer works perfectly.) Also, the rear view mirror seems to be a little on the loose side.

I'm selling because I own a 2012 car and I really have no use for this car. The dealer made me an insulting offer, so I am much happier to sell it to you.

Any questions, please email me at any time and I will try to help you.

You will not be disappointed with this vehicle. I am fully confident you can safely drive it anywhere in the country. Hondas are known for their amazing reliability. This car was very well taken care of and I'm sure it has many many years of service left.

Good luck!

Petition to bring Honda Civic Type R to US picking up steam

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Never mind what the executives say - we've had a sneaking suspicion all along that the upcoming Honda Civic Type R won't be coming to North America. And with good reason: both the prototype we drove in Japan and the concept unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week were based on the European-spec Civic hatchback - not to mention that some of the best hot hatches remain out of our reach.
Well it turns out we're not the only ones with that concern. There are legions of Honda hot hatch enthusiasts right here in the good old U S of A who want to see the new Civic Type R ripping up the Great American Road. And many of them are taking to the cyberclouds demanding that Honda bring it Stateside, post haste.
As of the time of writing, this online petition has gotten over 6,000 digital signatures, needing less than 1,500 more to get to the author's target of 7,500 votes. Of course, if and when the petition reaches its target, that still won't mean that Honda will bring it over, but it could mean that extra bit of encouragement the Japanese automaker's executives would need to tip the scales in our favor.

Honda Civic Tourer images arrive early on web

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

Honda provided a teaser sketch of its Civic Tourer concept wagon about a month ago (right), but today, just a couple days before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, we've found these official pics of the car in question from WhatCar?
The Civic Tourer concept adds a little length and height to the current Civic hatchback sold in Europe, stretching the shape every which way to make a new wagon model that will compete with cars like the new Volkswagen Golf Variant, which is also making its debut in Geneva this week.
As we mentioned when Honda released the teaser sketch last month, the European Civic is different from the Civic sold here in the US, so the production version of this concept, which should debut in the fall, will never see the inside of a dealership in the States. Do you care, or does the smaller Fit fill that role well enough for Americans?

Honda finds new Green Path to reduce CO2 emissions

Fri, Sep 25 2015

In the wake of the Volkswagen diesel scandal, it's impossible to hear an automaker talk about its overall environmental efforts and not think to yourself, "for real?" Still, we're willing to listen. And Honda representatives gave it their best shot yesterday in Marysville, OH as they introduced a small group of journalist to the company's expanded initiative aimed at cutting CO2 emissions and the total life-cycle environmental impact of Honda products. Called Green Path, the initiative now includes a $210-million expansion at Honda's Marysville, OH manufacturing plant to install a better, cleaner paint shop. Speaking at the facility yesterday, Honda representatives said that the plant room is not only better for the environment (it uses limestone dust instead of water to capture paint particles, for example, reducing water usage by about 2 million gallons annually. Overall, the new paint shop will have 60 percent less VOC emissions and reduce CO2 emissions by 18 percent), it also makes the cars look better. That's whey the two-step temperature curing process will initially only be used on Acuras to differentiate them from the competition. Honda will fire up trials in late 2017. There's more to Green Path than the new paint show, of course. The company wants to reduce - in some cases eliminate - what it calls substances of concern (SOCs), things like lead and mercury. There are also new wind turbines in Ohio to supply power to Honda plants, the Environmental Leadership Program for independent dealerships to make their own green moves, and swapping out fluorescent light bulbs for LEDs, among other efforts. In the Marysville Auto Plant, for example, the Assembly department has over 10,000 task light bulbs. The fluorescent ones used to need to be replaced every three years, but the new LEDs have a life span of 16 years. Honda says that calculating up the impact of all of these little changes will remove an average of 3.822 kilograms of CO2 from the production tally of each car it makes. The company's stated goal is to reduce its total greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent (compared to 2000 levels) by 2050. You can find out more in Honda's press release and video, below.
