I am selling my 2011 Honda Accord LX, black on tan interior, due to purchasing a new car. I am asking $16,850 OBO, under Blue Book. It is covered under Honda's original 36 month / 36,000 mile factory warranty. No known problems / issues /etc, always dealer maintained, adult owned and driven.
It is a 5 speed manual that took me a while to find (very rare for this year, and extremely fun to drive), and is in great condition. Exceptionally clean inside and out, I had my car professionally detailed this week to make sure the new buyer would be happy and no flaws would be hidden. Being FWD and a MT, the car even drives well in the snow with the All Season tires.
I'm the original owner... clean CarFax and AutoCheck, never been in an accident or had any body repairs done.
Mechanical Condition:
- This car needs absolutely nothing to pass inspection.
- All recommended maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) done at Honda dealers, as well as two recalls.
- Clutch is like new, shifts easily and smoothly throughout all the gears.
- Tires and brakes are in great shape, and this car was never driven hard or rev'ed high.
- Last oil change was done at the dealer only a few thousand miles ago.
Interior Condition:
- Never smoked in... seats, trim, and buttons all appear virtually new without defect.
- No stains, rips, tears, etc anywhere in the interior.
- All electronics, including in dash MP3/CD player, function without issue.
- Original floor mats will be included (pictured in album).
- Original spare tire never used.
Exterior Condition:
- All glass is free from chips, defects, or scratches. The windows were professionally tinted; the front was tinted at 35%, and back at 20% (could be removed if desired)... tint looks brand new with no purple spots, bubbles, or the like.
- Outside looks brand new, paint still has original shine... flawless except for some scratches on the back right of the bumper cover from someone hitting the car in a parking lot. Since the car is black and the plastic cover is as well, it is not noticeable at all, but could easily be touched up if need be. No dents/dings/scratches on doors/rock chips on front. Taken care of and washed often.
- I took the wheel covers off when I purchased the car to avoid any damage to them (they are essentially brand new), but they will be included with the sale of the vehicle (along with both keys, all original manuals, and the maintenance records).
A full album of 80+ images, unedited except to remove plate and to resize, can be messaged to you upon request. Additional pictures outside of that album also available available upon request.
Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions. Contact me with your cell phone number and whether you prefer me to call or send a text. Serious offers/inquiries only please. Car can be seen locally, and no problem bringing it to the dealer of your choice for an inspection if a serious buyer.
Thank you, have a great day, and Happy Easter!

New Land Rover Defender aces Euro crash tests
Wed, Dec 9 2020While the 2020 Land Rover Defender has not yet been crash-test by U.S. safety agencies such as NHTSA or IIHS, we do now have results for Europe's NCAP crash tests and accident-avoidance tests, where the Defender earned the top rating of five stars. The Defender model used for NCAP testing was the 110 variant with right-hand drive. The NCAP regimen includes several different crash tests: an offset front crash test into a moveable barrier with both the vehicle and the barrier traveling at 50 km/hr (31 mph), a front crash test into a full-width fixed barrier at 50 km/hr (31 mph), a side-impact crash test with a barrier traveling at 60 km/hr (37 mph) hitting the driver's door, and a side-impact test where the car strikes a pole at 32 km/hr (20 mph). The Defender's scores for the adult occupant and for a child occupant were both 85%. Additionally, the agency looks at the severity of injuries of the vehicle striking a pedestrian, taking data for a pedestrian's head hitting the hood, and their upper and lower leg being hit by the front of the vehicle. There is also testing of the vehicle's automatic emergency braking system's ability to avoiding hitting a pedestrian and a cyclist under various scenarios. The efficacy of active-safety systems for avoiding collisions with other vehicles is also tested. The Defender's score for protecting pedestrians and cyclists was 71%. The driver assists scored 79%. Results for several European-market cars were released together with those for the Defender, the most noteworthy of which was for the Honda E. The electric city car fared less well than the big Land Rover, garnering a score of four stars overall. In the same battery of test, the Honda E scored 76% for adult occupant protection, 82% for a child occupant, 62% for protecting pedestrians and cyclists, and 65% for its driver assists. US Honda Civic to get Type R engine
Mon, Dec 15 2014Honda is bent on kicking butt and taking names with its upcoming new Civic Type R, but since the Japanese hot hatch is based on the European model and isn't slated to come to the United States, it's been of little consolation to American enthusiasts. But if you're one of them, we've got good news for you. According to Spanish site Motor Y Racing, a US version of the Civic Type R is in the works. The salient part of the Type R that would make the oceanic voyage to US showrooms would be the 2.0-liter turbo four that's said to produce between 276 and 320 horsepower, but we could expect upgraded suspension, rolling stock and other equipment to come as part of the package as well. Just what form it would take we don't know. Currently American Honda offers the Civic as a coupe or sedan - not as a hatchback or wagon like it does overseas - so chances are that it'd be one of these betrunked body-styles that would get the upgrades. We're hoping for something more than an upgrade of the current Civic Si. Competing rumors suggest that Honda could offer that same engine in a revised version of the CR-Z hybrid hatchback, which has long been begging for a more potent powerplant. But that's not to say that Honda couldn't offer both with the new turbo VTEC engine. Having driven prototypes for more performance-oriented versions of both the Civic and the CR-Z at Honda's R&D center in Japan a little over a year ago, this writer could tell you that either prospect bodes well for the return of the red H badge to the high-performance arena.
Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.
