This vehicle has been a wonderful car and I absolutely hate to let it go but simply put we have a growing family and can not afford three car payments. There are no mechanical issues at all, we just drove it to Colorado and back. It only has 81000 miles on it which you should know is not much for a Honda. There are only minor scratches to the back of the side mirrors (due to my wife hitting the mailbox) and on the trunk. It has never been smoked in and does not have any rips, tears or stains to the interior. I have looked several times on Ebay at the prices of these vehicles and I can guarantee you that this is the best deal on here. Most of these vehicles are listed for $14,500- $15,500. Honda unveils new 3.5-liter racing engine
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Honda is following Ford's lead and debuting the second twin-turbocharged V6 to be used by Daytona Prototypes in the United Sports Car Championship. The wait won't be long to see it on track because the new engine will debut with the Starworks Motorsport team in a Riley Gen3 prototype chassis at the 12 Hours of Sebring from March 12-15.
The new HR35TT engine is based on Honda's J35 production V6 found in a variety of its models, including the current Accord. The racing version benefits from dry sump lubrication, but is still similar to the production version with an aluminum block, direct injection and single overhead camshafts. It is fueled by 100-octane E10 fuel, but like many racing engines, exact power figures have not been released.
Starworks has had a close relationship with Honda since it won the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012 with a Honda Performance Development ARX-03b chassis and Honda engine. Honda launches Project Drive-In to save these American icons
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Honda wasn't really a major player in the automotive industry when drive-in movie theaters were popular in the US, but the automaker is doing its best to preserve the place where automotive and cinema histories collide. Using Project Drive-In, Honda is helping bring awareness to a story we brought up last month, where we saw how a move away from 35-millimeter film could put some of the few drive-in theaters remaining in the US out of business.
As production studios switch to digital film, theaters are required to upgrade to digital projectors, which Honda says will cost about $80,000 for drive-ins. While Project Drive-In asks people to donate money to the cause or pledge to go to a drive-in theater, Honda will also be donating projectors to five of the remaining drive-ins based on votes received on its website. Honda's U.S. Plants Build Ten Million Accords, 20 Million Total Vehicles
Fri, Mar 21 2014The ten millionth American-built Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line Friday at the Japanese automaker's plant in Marysville, Ohio, according to Autoblog. Honda is celebrating not only the Accord, which is the seventh best selling nameplate of all time, but also an accumulative 20 million Hondas built in the U.S. since the company first started manufacturing at Marysville in November 1982. Honda was the first Japanese automaker to gamble on American manufacturing. Now, 94 percent of all Hondas sold in the U.S are American-built. They are made in facilities in Ohio, Alabama and Indiana. Honda's U.S. plants manufactured 1.3 million vehicles last year - a company record. Honda currently builds the best-selling Civic and Accord, as well as the Crosstour, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline in the U.S. Acura, Honda's luxury brand, also builds cars at the American plants, including the ILX, TL, RDX and MDX.
