For auction is this super nice Accord.  Its a 2000 V6 automatic.  This is my grandmothers car and she is the only owner.  A picture of the original title is included.  All options on this car work very good.  AC as well.  It has power mirrors power windows, power seats, power sunroof, cruise control, factory honda radio with CD player, automatic climate control, leather interior in very good shape.  carpet is very good. This is a Non-Smoker Car. All lights work properly.  The maintainence on this vehicle was always done on time or before needed @ a local honda dealer.  Never seen an ohio winter.  Grandparents had retirement property in florida where they drove the car to in winter.  I have included pictures of the most notable body damage which is very minor.  other than pictured just some scuffs on rear bumper and very very minor ding or scratch.  the car drives like it is new.  motor starts and runs very well and transmission shifts flawlessly.  Entire suspension has been up kept and absolutely no rattles or clunks or looseness of any kind.
About 3 months ago someone stole the tires wheels and catalytic converter in the middle of the night.  So the catalytic converter, oxygen sensor and tires only have about 3,000 miles on them.  There are no warning lights on in the dash.  The trunk is dry in even in a heavy rain storm.  Does not use or leak any fluids.  It is parked in a concrete drive and never leaves a drop.  The underneath of the car is very very clean.  I have included a few pics of underneath up on a couple jack stands in my garage.   Absolutely no cracks or chips in windshield.  Battery is good, starts right up every time.  Passes our local emissions check no problems.  This car needs nothing to the best of my knowledge.  Comes with 2 full sets of keys that both have working key fobs.  I have roughly 45 pictures trying to depict everything good and bad with this accord.  Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will promptly be responding to them.  I will assist with shipping all expenses paid by the buyer.

Honda recalling 25k Odyssey minivans over side curtain airbags

Fri, 02 May 2014

Honda's refreshed 2014 Odyssey (now with 100-percent more vacuum power!) launched last year, but is now being called back for issues related to the side curtain airbags. According to Honda, 24,889 Odyssey minivans are affected by an issue that may cause the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) warning light to illuminate or, even worse, cause the side airbags to not deploy in a crash.
What went wrong, exactly? We'll let Honda explain:
During assembly of the electrical coupler for the side curtain airbag on the passenger's side of the vehicle, it is possible that the shorting terminal, which is used to prevent deployment of the airbag before it is assembled into the vehicle, may have been damaged. A damaged shorting terminal may illuminate the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) indicator as well as prevent the side curtain airbag from deploying during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag? Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be. Honda has a knack for surprising us with nearly unbelievable inventions designed to improve mankind's quality of life, contraptions like the Walking Assist Device and the UNI-CUB personal mobility devices, so the Case N isn't as far-fetched an idea for the company as you might think.
Head below to watch the video, where you can see the Case N concept in action. You'll also see its generous proportions, which is one reason why it's just a case of Honda humor - not (yet) a market reality.

NHTSA urges owners of recalled Takata airbag vehicles to take immediate action

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Department of Transportation are taking the unusual step of issuing a followup press release urging owners of certain recalled vehicles "to act immediately" to fix their cars and trucks. The problem in question concerns the repair campaigns for rupturing Takata airbag inflators issued in June and covers a long list of models from Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Infiniti, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
While NHSTA doesn't specifically say why the recall is vital in the new release, Toyota's own explanation in its newly announced renotification campaign earlier today sheds some new light on the topic. According to the Japanese automaker, in testing, Takata found a possible link between the rupturing airbag inflators and high humidity. NHTSA is advocating that all owners pursue repairs immediately if they haven't already done so already. This is especially crucial for those drivers especially in Florida, Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, Virgin Islands and Hawaii because of the humid conditions there.
We don't need to tell you how dangerous an inadvertent airbag deployment could be - even in a stationary vehicle - but adding to the Takata issue is fears that the deployment could lead to shrapnel being sprayed into the cabin.
