Up for auction is a 1998
Honda Accord that was recently donated to a national charitable foundation and
is being sold with NO RESERVE. The vehicle is equipped
with a 4cyl engine. The odometer shows 187,757 miles. It’s
fairly well equipped with most of the options. The seats are gray
and appear to be in decent condition, although a good detail will make a huge
difference. The exterior of the car is black and is showing signs of
wear and is faded. It has a few door dings and scratches. The
tires appear to HAVE ROUGHLY 35% road life left. Please refer to the photos included in this

This vehicle comes with
a clear California Application
for Duplicate Title and its Registration
was valid through 05/14. All
taxes, fees, and penalties due to the DMV, are the responsibility of the buyer. Smog (California Buyers) If you are a California
resident intending on registering this vehicle in the State of California, AND
not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or
a “certificate of
non-compliance” along with the sale. This will allow buyers to pay
the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV
and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the
certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the
buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. There will be a 50.00 fee added to your total amount.

donated! Therefore we do not have ANY
information regarding the history or condition of the vehicle other than what
we can see. We do not perform any
physical or mechanical inspections on the vehicle. No vehicles are test driven so we cannot
vouch for any drivability nor condition of the motor or transmission unless it
is evident when the vehicle is dropped off.

Vehicles not paid for in full within three (3) days of end of
auction will be subject to a penalty of $50.00 plus $20.00 PER DAY in storage
fees (storage fees are not negotiable and must be paid prior to release of

Vehicles not paid for within one week of end of auction will
result in buyer’s privileges revoked and vehicle to be relisted on ebay.
We accept cash in person, credit card (Visa and MC only) and
PayPal (up to $1,000.00) only. Cashier’s
checks may be used for payment but vehicle will not be released until cashier’s
check clears (up to three business days).
All cars are sold in AS IS and WHERE IS condition with all faults
– known and unknown, described or not described. Should there be ANY mechanical issues
discovered after the purchase of the vehicle there will be no recourse offered
by the Seller. The Buyer will be 100%
responsible for any problems discovered after the vehicle leaves the lot. Seller makes NO warranties as to the
condition of any vehicle. Descriptions
and photos contained herein may not be accurate and buyer is 100% responsible
for inspecting the vehicle prior to bidding.

Recharge Wrap-up: VW exec predicts EVs with 375-mile range
Wed, Oct 8 2014Volkswagen says EV ranges over 300 miles aren't too far in the future. Plug-in hybrids are merely a bridge to all-electric mobility becoming more practical for people who need to travel longer distances, according to Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser, Volkswagen's head of powertrain development. Energy density is increasing rapidly in new batteries. Speaking about the e-Golf, Neusser says, "I expect the next generation in 2015-17 will increase to around 300 km [186 miles] and the following step will be around 500-600 km [310-372 miles]." Neusser also says he believes that charging infrastructure will improve to catch up with these more advanced batteries. Read more at Motoring. BMW is offering higher incentives for the all-electric i3 than the range-extended version. More buyers are opting for the i3 REx, with its 78 extra miles of range. So, to move the standard i3 (which is already cheaper), BMW is offering $2,000 in incentives for October - double what is offered for the i3 REx. The added incentives help close the price gap between the BMW and other EVs with similar ranges. The deals won't last long, though. According to New Jersey BMW salesman Manny Antunes, BMW's current incentives are "as aggressive as they're going to get" for a while. Read more at Green Car Reports. Honda is changing its research and development process for all cars after a series of Fit Hybrid recalls. The hybrid version, which makes up more than half of all Fit sales in Japan, was the subject of four recalls within nine months. In response, Honda will change the way it develops cars worldwide, with one extra "gate" to pass in the process. Honda will do prototype testing earlier in the research process to see how separately developed components work together before moving onto the car's development phase. It will add time and cost to making cars, but Honda hopes it will help prevent problems - like those that come with a flurry of recalls - down the road. Read more at Automotive News. New death linked to Takata airbag crisis, Honda recalls 170k vehicles overseas
Sat, 15 Nov 2014The safety crisis surrounding Takata's exploding airbags continues to expand. In the latest revelation, Honda confirms another death linked to the faulty parts, and the company is expanding its recall of the components. However, none of the newly added vehicles are in the United States.
With the confirmation of this report, there are now five deaths linked to the faulty airbags. According to The New York Times, a pregnant woman in Malaysia was killed on July 27 in a 2003 Honda City when she crashed into another vehicle, and the inflator ruptured. This was the first announced case outside of the US.
The faulty part in the woman's car was reportedly made at a now-closed Takata factory in Georgia, according to the NYT, and it's the first known example from that location. In response, Honda recalled about 170,000 vehicles in Europe and Asia to replace the potentially bad inflators. The latest campaign brings the total number of recalled vehicles worldwide to around 14.3 million units.
Honda Jazz Prototype is brand's latest production-ready 'concept'
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Another auto show, another Honda "prototype." The brand has made something of a habit of showing very thinly veiled production models at the world's auto shows, ranging from the Accord, to the Civic and Civic Type-R, as well as the CR-V. And yes, this is far from the first time we've railed against this particular trend (it's not even the first time at this auto show). Now, it's time to preview the production-ready Jazz, known to American consumers as the recently released Fit.
As we covered in our original post on the Jazz Prototype, this car is pretty much a twin to the Fit, aside from its 1.3-liter engine. Sitting in place of the US-market 1.5-liter four-cylinder, the Earth Dreams 1.3 is probably a bit more suited to the tighter urban environments of the European Union. While the engine might be different, the six-speed manual and continuously variable transmission will be plenty familiar to US consumers.
