The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"See photos for details on scratches, ect. Typical Honda rust around rear wheel wells. A few scatches and dings here and there, but nothing more major than the rust behind wheels. There are some circular scratches on the hood from my kids, about 4-5 inches in diameter---they are not deep, and it might be possible to polish them out. The interior is in great condition, and as usual with Hondas all the gadgetry works: the electronic clock, the cruise control, power windows, electric locks, etc. The transmission linkage needs a slight adjustment, as you must put the car in D3 first, then into D to go forward, same with reverse, you must first put it into N, then R. There is nothing wrong with the transmission, just the linkage adjustment. Overall drivabilty is very good, as I use this car for my daily commute to the college where I teach."

Fellow ebayers,   here's my 1991 Honda Accord. The only reason I'm selling this car is because I am in a bit of a finacial quandry and have to raise some cash: otherwise I would keep this car until she has lived out her useful life. It is a very dependable car, as most of these Hondas are---they are built to last and for dependability. Now, it does have 264,000 miles on it, and it is not in showroom condition; but I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. If I needed to head to Florida or California, it would get me there. I use this car for my daily commutes to the college where I teach, and for the occasional trip to the big city. It gets around 29 mpg city and 32-33 highway. Even better if the trip is all downhill!

It starts and runs good, and has has regular service. It has a M and W permanent air filter, which only requires the occasional washing. I just bought 4 new tires for it, at just under 500.00. I had both upper ball joints replaced, and both front brakes and rotors are newly replaced at just over 500.00. So, I would like to get part of that money back: thus the small reserve. The automotive department just retrofitted the A/C system to 134A, and the system was producing 38 degree air. But, something has happened to it and the A/C quit working, I will get the car back into the automotive shop this week for repairs if possible; I do not know what happended to it, but hopefully it is a simple repair--- As of now the A/C does not work.

Interior is in great shape, and has been taken care of. E-mail or message me with questions and I will post for all to see.

You will notice that I have a 100 percent positive feedback on more than 400 transactions---- I will be happy to drive this car within a reasonable distance to the buyer.

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.

Watch this LSR Honda Insight crash at 190 mph in the desert

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Like any form of motorsports, attempts at breaking land speed records are inherently dangerous. To wit: During a recent speed competition at El Mirage dry lake beds in southern California, racer Brian Gillespie and his first-gen Honda Insight crashed at nearly 190 miles per hour, and it was all caught on video.
According to the Southern California Timing Association website, which hosts the event, the weather was good and there was no wind on November 10, so it isn't clear what may have caused the crash. Despite the car being destroyed (including the entire front end being sheared off), Gillespie suffered only "minor injuries" and is recovering. The SCTA site does state that Gillespie managed to crack the 200-mile-per-hour mark in a previous run with a top speed of 200.9 mph, so congratulations to him on that! Scroll down to watch the horrifying crash.
