I'm selling this vintage piece of Honda history after three years of ownership. I dug it out of of original owner's garage where it sat for 8 years in late 2009. It hit the road after it's extended hiatus in January 2010. It now has 238K miles on it. I parked it in December after replacing it with a much needed truck. I used it mostly to drive to/from work locally and fairly regular 30 mile runs.
New 15" rims/tires as of Spring 2012
New timing belt when resurrected at 211,000 miles
Radiator, hoses replaced
New PS rack
New alternator and battery
New clutch
Front/rear seals replaced. Valve cover gasket replaced
New struts
A/C blows cold and has been converted to R134. Car is in VERY good shape for it's age. Only things that don't work are cruise control and windshield washer. Trans. whines a bit in 5th gear, but has never had any issues. No tears in rugs or seats. Never in accident, original paint. White spot on carpeting in one pic is the result of chemical spill. Some small tears in driver's door panel where door-mounted seat belt got caught between door an door jamb. Car has been garage kept most of it's life. Original paint. You'll love this car!!!!!

2016 Honda Civic colors and interiors leaked
Mon, Sep 28 2015UPDATE: Honda enthusiast forum Temple of VTEC also reported the 2016 Civic color information. We're just a short time away from our first test of the new Honda Civic, which should be when we get the full slate of details. We are, however, impatient and imagine that you are, too. That's why we're stoked about a discovery from 10thCivicForum.com, which shows the entire interior and exterior color slate, along with their specific combinations. There will be nine exterior paint colors, including some that fans of the current Civic will be familiar with. Taffeta White, White Orchid Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic (shown above), are all carry overs from the current-gen four-door, while Rallye Red is an addition from the current two-door Civic. Other colors can be found on other products in the Honda catalog, including Lunar Silver Metallic from the Accord and Aegean Blue Metallic from the Fit. New shades include Cosmic Blue Metallic and Burgundy Night Pearl. Every color will be offered on every trim, except for Taffeta White, which is only offered on the basic 2.0-liter LX model. The interior colors are, of course, more predictable. You can choose from black, gray, or ivory. Exciting, we know. You can check out the entire color matrix, which breaks down which interior colors pair with which paints on the entire Civic range, over at 10thCivicForum.com. Check it out, and keep an eye out for our first drive of the latest Civic Sedan, coming soon.
Honda Fit loses Recommended rating from Consumer Reports
Thu, 23 Jan 2014Thanks to its poor performance in the most recent round of Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash testing, where it received the lowest overall score in the small-overlap test, Consumer Reports has bumped the Honda Fit from its "Recommended" list. When a car gets bumped from the magazine's coveted ranks, it's usually cause for concern. This is not one of those times.
As there is a new Fit barreling towards dealerships for an on-sale date this spring, we wouldn't pay too much credence to the current car's demotion. It's expected that the next-generation Fit should pass the test with flying colors, as CR is quick to point out that newer Hondas have traditionally done very well in the tricky small-overlap crash testing.
Of the subcompact cars tested by the IIHS, only the Kia Rio, which netted a "Marginal" score overall, is a Consumer Reports "Recommended" vehicle.
Old Car or New Car? 1993 Chevy Camaro vs 2015 Honda CR-Z
Wed, Sep 30 2015My daily life revolves around used cars. As a former fast-talking auto auctioneer, it was once my job to inspect, appraise, and liquidate thousands of cars throughout the United States. Since I put down my microphone and became a full-time car dealer, I have gone from auctioning off 150 vehicles an hour – yes, we really do talk that fast – to buying 150 vehicles every two to three months. I see and bid on everything from $300 Volkswagens that belch more black smoke than a diesel truck rolling coal, to $30,000 DeLoreans that hopefully can go at least 88 miles per hour. The auctions never run out of weirdness when it comes to cars because they sell over 10 million every single year. So with that big number in mind, let me tell you about these two cars that have about as much in common as Mel Gibson and Mel Brooks.Option A: 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car Edition View 24 Photos This 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Indy Pace Car has all of 4,187 miles on it. Neither of those numbers are a misprint and yes, those are multi-colored stripes on the hood. Every week, I find at least two or three museum pieces that have been stored in the private garage of an auto collector. As you can tell, there are some very broad strokes to the definition and tastes of a collector. It could be a guy who has an extreme case of what I call "Automotive Compulsive Disorder" who chucks 20 or 30 old cars into a field and lets the weather and elements have at them. I once knew a guy, a car dealer at that, who "stored" seven 1990s Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertibles in the Georgia sun, and within two years those cars turned into complete junk. The fact that he stored them in an open field he didn't actually own and near a public road didn't help either. A few of the local meth heads and kleptocrats decided to strip-mine his collection, from the radiators to the tops themselves. He had a brief time in prison in between the before and the surprise after and trust me, he looked like he had soiled his britches when he saw what happened to his personally prized Cutlasses. Then you have whoever owned this Camaro. Is it a one-of-a-kind? Nope. Just 1 of 125, and an insignificant number at that (#87). But let's open the door to this Camaro and see what we find. Oof! I don't remember this multi-colored silly string design as a '90s must-have. Wasn't this popular back in the 1980s?
