Near Mint, Unmodified, Unmolestet 2005 New Formula Red S2000, Oem Hardtop. on 2040-cars
Herrin, Illinois, United States
Thank you for looking! This is truly well maintained, adult driven unmolested S2000! The only modification is an upgraded stereo - Alpine HU with Bluetooth and Pinnacle Reference speakers. The car is complete with full set of keys, books, tools etc. I am also including DIY hardtop stand and OEM hardtop cover. The car is still under Honda Care warranty until 12-19-2015 or 97098 miles. It is up to the potential buyer to verify if there are any transfer fees involved. The overall condition is excellent - all original paint, no dents, dings or scratches. Black leather seats are in excellent condition, the soft top is without tears or rips. The engine did not need any oil between oil changes. The transmission is a joy to use with short, precise throws. The hard top does not squeak nor rattle. The tires - Bridgestone Pole Position all-season have plenty of thread left. As far as blemishes or defects, the front bumper cover was replaced by previous owner due to minor damage. There are minute stone chips on fenders and hood, too small to show on pictures. Minor curb rash on the rims. With the hardtop installed this car could be a true all season driver, or you could take it to the track if you wish. Please Email if you have any questions.

Next Honda Ridgeline to eschew weird visuals, go mainstream?
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Last year, Honda gave us the first furtive glance at the next-generation Ridgeline with a shadowy photo of it in profile (above), and it promised that the pickup would "come to market in less than two years." That would have put the truck on track for a 2015 debut, but the automaker hasn't said anything more officially about the new model since then.
A new report from USA Today might shed some new light on the mysterious model. It claims that the next Ridgeline has more conventional pickup styling than the original model in a bid to conquest some buyers. You can get that feeling from the sketch, which appears to showing something far more traditional than the unorthodox original Ridgeline, whose odd tapering bedsides terminated in a double-hinged tailgate.
USA Today goes on to claim that the new Ridgeline will go on sale around late 2015 or early 2016. That's a bit later than expected, but fits with an earlier rumor.
Honda planning a second Vezel for developing markets
Tue, 31 Dec 2013The new Honda Vezel was designed as a global product. Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, the compact crossover is already going on sale in Japan, will soon reach Europe and will eventually hit the North American market as well - albeit with a different name and engine lineup. But it won't be sold everywhere.
According to Autocar India, the Vezel was originally earmarked to reach the emerging market on the subcontinent, but the declining value of the rupee has apparently forced Honda to rethink its strategy. Instead, the Japanese automaker is now expected to develop a second compact crossover - one more cost-effective to produce locally - for sale in India and other, nearby developing markets.
The new model would be based on the Brio, a hatchback that's smaller than the Fit (on which the Vezel is based) and built in India, Thailand and Indonesia. Honda has already enlarged the Brio's platform to create the Amaze sedan and Mobilio minivan. Building a crossover on the same platform would reportedly require some re-engineering - particularly around the wheel wells - but would apparently still be more cost-effective than importing the Vezel.
New Honda Fit ousts Toyota Prius as Japan's top-selling car last month
Mon, 11 Nov 2013The Toyota Camry may lose its title as the best-selling car in the US next year and the Honda Civic has already managed to outsell the Toyota Corolla to become the top-selling compact in the US, but it looks like the domination woes have just hit Toyota on its own turf. Bloomberg reports that the all-new Honda Fit carries the distinction of being the best-selling car in Japan for October - the Fit's first full month on sale - outselling the popular Toyota Prius and Toyota Aqua (our Toyota Prius C).
Unlike the Camry's 16-year reign on US car sales, Japan's race seems a little tighter with the Fit most recently topping the sales charts in May 2011. Since then, though, the two Toyota hybrids have been the top two cars in for sale in Japan. The US won't get the next-gen Fit until the third quarter of 2014, but this new hatchback should be another solid option for buyers in the increasingly popular subcompact segment.
