You will rarely see a Spa Yellow 2001 Honda S2000 in this condition!

 2001 Honda S2000

This car is in amazing condition with super low miles & more!

ONLY 37,280 MILES!!!

CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED 100% of the time! NEVER driven in rain!

For sale is a 2001 Honda S2000. This car has a perfect history, and has only lived in a warm climate. It is rare that a car has all positives, and really no negatives, but that is the case with this S2K. If you are looking for one that immediately has collectible value, and if kept in this condition, will only continue to increase, then you are looking at it! This car can be looked at as an investment you can have fun with! Low mileage, super clean S2000's are slowly rising in value!

The ONLY reason for this car being offered for sale is because I unfortunately have an ill parent & I will very soon be relocating back out to the Las Vegas Area as a result of this, and thus I have to take action due to my situation. Due to my having to move & the financial burden of doing so, I am forced to sell some vehicles I never planned to, such as this very unique collectible car and others. Right now, I still have too many cars to transport out west (5), so I must continue to downsize to reduce high moving costs. Otherwise I would never consider selling this rare, special S2000!

POSITIVES ABOUT THIS 2001 HONDA S2000:
*Only 37,280 Miles, very low & well below average for a 2001 (avg of under 3k/yr!)
*Spa Yellow Color, one of the best showing & most desirable colors on an S2000
*Paint/exterior/engine area is in amazing shape (see photos), from being 100% garaged & never in bad weather.
*Interior is in near perfect condition, including seats. Almost looks like brand new inside. Drivers bolster is NOT worn as most are!
*Car has a stellar, clean history: Aside from super low mileageonly 2 owners. Car has only been in warm weather climates, Houston TX (1st owner), So. Nevada, & Orlando FL. Always stored indoors by original owner & myself, thus the pristine condition.
*Has 3M clear front mask from original owner: Normal minor imperfections from road in lower front are actually on the clear mask, keeping car protected!
ALSO INCLUDED:
*OEM Honda S2000 Cloth Car Cover
Custom Fit for the car including mirrors & antenna
*Brand New Custom Manufactured Front End Car Mask (similar to LeBra)
*OEM Convertible Tonneau Cover Included
For a clean look when top is down
*Also included are all books/documentation, including owners manual & service reference manual, both sets of original keys & fobs, and the original Honda window sticker!!

All of the above makes this car as collectible as can be found--from the amazing condition, to the history, to the fact that all paperwork is present. If you are looking at an S2000 that you can look at as an increasing asset you can be proud of, this one is all of those things! It really is as clean as it appears!

Also, this car is completely stock, other than the 1st owner installed an Alpine in dash stereo in place of the original. That is it. Otherwise, 100% stock, which is what you want for further value appreciation/collectibility!

CONDITION REPORT
EXTERIOR:
The exterior is in amazing condition, just as it appears in the pictures. The only imperfections that can be found are some normal minor marks from the road on the lower front, but because this car has a clear 3M mask up front, the car itself was protected! And I can find no imperfections anywhere on the paint. Even inside the gas cap area is perfect! The cloth convertible top is also in near perfect condition! Overall I would rate the exterior 9.8 out of 10.

UNDER HOOD/ENGINE AREA, & TRUNK:
The condition under the hood is similarly perfect & consistent with the exterior of the car--a car never exposed to elements, and stored indoors. See the pictures. It is in showroom condition under the hood, same goes for the trunk area.

INTERIOR
The interior of this car is in amazing shape! (See pics)
It is about as close to new as you can get for a 2001 S2000. Even the seats are in near perfect condition. It's almost impossible to have virtually no wear on the bolster closest to the driver door on an S2000, but this one is in the best shape you will ever see! I would rate the interior at 9.8 out of 10.

CONDITION SUMMARY/MECHANICAL
Overall, you will be hard pressed to find a 2001 Spa Yellow S2000 in physical condition superior to this!
Mechanically, there is absolutely nothing to mention that is not working properly. Nothing. Everything works, and the car performs as perfectly as it looks!

Tires are Yokohama YK580's:
205/55R16 on Front & 225/50R16 on Rear
Tires in excellent condition, great tread!
Battery is 2 months old & under warranty!

PAYMENT & SHIPPING:

PAYMENT:

A payment of a $750 deposit towards winning bid amount is due within 48 hours from end of auction. This is to be paid via paypal. The remaining balance will be due within 10 days. Payment method for remaining balance to be paid by personal check, or a bank check/money order. Check does need to clear before car & title are given to the new owner. I will immediately send title to new owner same day funds clear.

SHIPPING:

Vehicle can be shipped/picked up once cleared payment in full is received from buyer. I am happy to assist the buyer with any shipping arrangements on my end. I will go out of my way to help. Shipping of the car is the financial responsibility of the buyer. I have sold 4 cars over my 13+ years on ebay, all were sold to buyers out of area, all were shipped & went very smoothly, including other collectible cars. They were shipped because it was actually much easier & cheaper for the buyer.

The auto transport business is super competitive so its definitely worth checking in to a quote if not a local buyer. Uship is a great place to get a deal, I will be using it when I make my move soon to Vegas.

(The car is located in Orlando FL, zip code 32835 if you are getting quotes)

=================================================

Note: Autocheck report says "calculated" owners is 3, which is incorrect. That is just an assumption (estimate) they made. The original owner had to get a new title from DMV. Thus that must have caused Autocheck to assume 3 owners. When I bought this car, the CarFax report showed it to be a one owner car. And CarFax tends to be most accurate & is the industry standard. I've seen this occur before with Autocheck.

QUESTIONS ETC

If you have a legitimate question, I will try my best to answer it.

I always try to be very detailed & give a lot of information, and I also include the eBay maximum allowed number of pictures (24) in my listings to reduce the number of unnecessary questions, this has worked well in my prior auctions. I would have actually put more pictures if possible, but ebay only permits 24. If there is anything you need a picture of, let me know.

However, please do not ask me what the reserve price is. I prefer to let the auction run its course as intended. I have handled my last few auctions this way, & it works much better.  The reserve was not intended on ebay to be disclosed, otherwise it would be shown! The reserve is below the book value. Bid what you want to pay, regardless of the reserve. If you are the high bidder & the reserve is met, then that's how it works.

****************************************

As with any private party used vehicle on ebay, this is sold as-is with no warranty included or implied. That said, I have done my best to represent this car as best as possible.

Bid with total confidence--I have 100% feedback over many years as an ebay member.

Don't miss out on this immaculate, rare S2000!

Thanks for your interest!

Honda shows us 'The Challenging Spirit of Honda'... in Japanese

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Just as Porsche has done with its lengthy Le Mans gear-up, Honda is is laying the table for its Formula One return more than a year before we'll actually see it on track. We've heard what it's 2015 engine will sound like, reminisced with the 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 and the 1964 Honda RA271 and spoken to the company's CEO about what F1 involvement could do for its production car engines.
The automaker has now released a video called The Challenging Spirit of Honda that traces the development of its in-house F1 program and the jump from motorcycles to the first RA270 F1 chassis in 1962, to the RA272 chassis that won the 1965 Grand Prix. The only catch: the video is in Japanese. However, you can read about the winning car in English, and the video ends with another sound check of the 2015 power unit. That is a universal language, and you'll find it being spoken below.

Takata airbags linked to seventh death

Wed, Jun 10 2015

A seventh fatality may be linked to Takata's faulty airbag inflators, based on a recently filed lawsuit in Louisiana. The case alleges that a 22-year-old woman there died in April following injuries from an accident while driving in a 2005 Honda Civic. She reportedly received the mailing about the airbag safety campaign two days after the crash, according to Bloomberg. The accident occurred on April 5 when the vehicle hit a utility pole. The driver's airbag deployed but allegedly sprayed metal shrapnel at the woman. "When she was in the hospital, they did exploratory surgery and found no other injuries," said Kenneth D. St. Pe, the lawyer for the driver's mother who filed the lawsuit, according to Bloomberg. "Her sole injury was that her throat was cut open." In a portion of a statement from Honda to Autoblog, the automaker says: "Honda is now in communication with representatives of the family in an effort to gather further information in order to better understand the situation." The Takata airbag inflator recall was expanded in May to cover 34 million vehicles in this country from 11 automakers. Up until now, the faulty parts have been potentially linked to six deaths, including five in the US and one in Malaysia, plus many injuries. Honda and Takata are facing at least two dozen lawsuits in Florida for claims related to the bad components. So far, the evidence suggests that exposure to moisture causes the propellant to ignite too quickly and cause these ruptures. However, many people aren't getting the problem fixed. Honda Statement: Honda was recently notified of the crash of a 2005 Honda Civic in Louisiana on April 5, 2015 that later resulted in the death of the driver. The crash may have resulted in the rupture of the Takata driver front airbag inflator. Honda is now in communication with representatives of the family in an effort to gather further information in order to better understand the situation. Related Video:

Honda Accord, Civic are America's most stolen cars

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

The National Insurance Crime Bureau has released its latest Hot Wheels study on the most popular stolen cars and trucks for 2012. The study has changed a bit from past years, with the new findings listing only the make and model of each vehicle, while taking into account all model years in its totals. Previous iterations only focused on the most stolen vehicles of a particular model year, with that make and model not appearing anywhere else on the list so as not to appear to call out a particular car. Confusing, eh? Said another way, in previous studies, if the three most stolen vehicles were the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Belchfire Turbo from Fictitious Motors, only the model year with the highest number of thefts would make the list.
The new study takes all model years into consideration while breaking down the number of vehicles stolen per model year in a full, in-depth report. Separately, the NICB is also listing the top 25 new vehicles stolen in 2012. That list is limited exclusively to model year 2012 entries.
Honda took the top two spots in the most stolen vehicles list, with 58,596 Accord models stolen and 47,037 Civic models stolen. The study is interesting, though, in that the most recent model year for the Accord is 1997, while the most recent the Civic is 2000. In fact, Hondas from 1990 to 2000 make up 16 of the top 20 cars stolen in 2012, according to the NICB. Compare that with the MY2012 list, where Honda's vehicles are eleventh and fifteenth, and it looks like the Japanese brand has been beefing up its theft control.
