2008 C/r Excellent Condition, Only 27k Miles, Never Modified, Raced, Or Tracked on 2040-cars
Millington, New Jersey, United States
My sister is the original owner, and has asked me to help her sell it. She is the original owner of the car, and we have the window sticker, dealer purchase contract, owners manuals, etc. I have the title in hand. The car is in near perfect condition, just a few paint chips (I have a bottle of touch up paint on order from the local Honda dealer), and some minor curb rash on both passenger side rims.
The car was driven by a little old lady (I'm not kidding, my sister is in her 50's). My brother in law and her went to the local Honda dealer to purchase an Accord for him, the C/R was in the showroom, she fell in love with it and bought it on the spot (and he bought an Accord, too) The car has never required even the most minor of repairs. She returned to the dealer for oil changes (I have all the receipts in hand), and she replaced the original Bridgestone tires 2 years/ 12k miles ago with Hankooks (I have that receipt in hand too). The fact that the original Bridgestone tires with very soft rubber lasted 15,800 miles is a indication how gently the car has been driven (plenty of tread left on the Hankooks too) It has the audio system and air conditioning that were optional on the C/R. We also have the genuine Honda soft cover that she purchased from the dealer, and that and the original hardtop are included in the sale of the car. The car has always been kept in a heated garage, was never driven in the winter, and was driven in the rain a handful of times as the hardtop was rarely ever installed. If there was any chance of rain she always drove her SUV. The car has never been modified, abused, raced, or tracked. |

Acura NSX production car headed for Detroit debut?
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Auto Express is reporting that Honda is set to unveil the production version of its upcoming Acura NSX at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. The news comes courtesy of an unnamed "top exec" for Honda Brazil speaking at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. The concept version of the Japanese supercar is currently on display there. Interestingly enough, the same unnamed source claims the production iteration will remain aesthetically identical to the show car. You won't hear any qualms from us on that front.
Of course, the timing of the production debut is a little confusing. For starters, when Acura unveiled the concept last year, the company told the world it would be at least three years before production began. That would give the street-worthy model a 2014 or 2015 designation, the latter being cited more often in media accounts. Thus, we'll keep an eye out for the hybrid supercar in Motown, but we're going to stop short of holding our breath... it might be a while.
Senna's McLaren drives Honda up the wall
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Honda is getting excited for its imminent return to Formula One with McLaren. So excited, in fact, that it got its new/old friends from Woking to loan it one of its old F1 cars. But not just any old F1 car...
On display at the Honda stand in Frankfurt this year is the 1988 McLaren MP4-4 in which the legendary Ayrton Senna drove to fifteen out of sixteen grands prix that season to take the championship in spectacular style.
Honda provided the engine for that car, a 1.5-liter turbo V6 with upwards of 600 horsepower to propel less than 1,200 lbs. Of course this being a static display car, it's likely been stripped of its engine, gearbox and most other internal mechanical components. But that doesn't make the sight of it any less memorable.
Honda launches Project Drive-In to save these American icons
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Honda wasn't really a major player in the automotive industry when drive-in movie theaters were popular in the US, but the automaker is doing its best to preserve the place where automotive and cinema histories collide. Using Project Drive-In, Honda is helping bring awareness to a story we brought up last month, where we saw how a move away from 35-millimeter film could put some of the few drive-in theaters remaining in the US out of business.
As production studios switch to digital film, theaters are required to upgrade to digital projectors, which Honda says will cost about $80,000 for drive-ins. While Project Drive-In asks people to donate money to the cause or pledge to go to a drive-in theater, Honda will also be donating projectors to five of the remaining drive-ins based on votes received on its website. Scroll down to watch a short video describing Project Drive-In, and be sure to vote, pledge and even contribute to save the drive-ins.
