Great Sports Convertible with no mechanical issues.
Runs strong and sounds phenomenal. 6 speed transmission, 240+Hp, Leather
interior, Power Windows, Cruise Control, CD Player, Strong A/C, Rear wheel
drive. Not a spot of rust. Few Additions include track ready roll bar, aluminum
radiator, oil catch can and stage 2 Exedy clutch. Other than that she is a
clean un-tampered with setup that is proven to be as reliable as all of Honda's
products. Only thing that keeps this from being showroom quality is minor scratches
to both front and rear bumpers, rear bumper on passenger side has a 3 inch
crack from being bumped at the gas pump (which i was in neutral at the time so
no damage to gear box). These minor abrasions are extremely hard to see due to
the bright sports yellow coloring of the car, and unless you point them out
they go unnoticed. Also includes original roll bar and coverings for headrest
with center glass bit, original soft top cover, original floor mats, custom fit
soft fabric car cover, service technician manual, all original paperwork and
service intervals/visits. All original equipment is in mint condition, just
currently in a climate controlled storage facility so they don't appear in pictures;
also spare tire and roadside tire change kit are all intact. |

Honda's 3D-printed customizable EV has motorcycle bones
Wed, Oct 5 2016Honda isn't the first company to reveal vehicles with 3D-printed panels, details and more. However, it's certainly one of the biggest, so its efforts warrant a closer look. Fresh off the heels of the Paris Auto Show, Honda showed off its Variable Design platform for micro EVs: petite cars where space -- and weight -- is at a premium. The automaker wants to offer a vehicle with a customizable layout where drivers can choose what they need. That could be lowered entry points at the doors for senior drivers, a hatchback trunk for delivery vehicles or space for a family of three. (Somehow!) Let's take a closer look: I was a bit skeptical of the idea of an entire vehicle built from 3D-printed panels, but a Honda spokesperson outlined how the company took design and engineering know-how from its motorcycle division, resulting in a light but safe pipe-based skeleton under the paneling. This is apparently what gives the "micro commuter model" structural integrity. The company had some assistance from design firm Kabuku, which put a bird on it -- on the hatchback trunk, as well as the doors and seat. The car mostly has that familiarly, rough 3D-printed surface to it, but despite being the early first step in Honda's efforts to offer a heavily customizable electric vehicle, today's prototype could very much move. A handful of journalists and businessmen got to sit inside and drive it very briefly around a corner in a faux-Japanese village. 3D-printing entire car bodies could lead to reduced design times and cheaper costs. But that's if it becomes a bigger thing. For now, it's a promising platform that's still in development. This article by Mat Smith originally ran on Engadget, the definitive guide to this connected life. Honda HR-V gets early reveal
Mon, 17 Nov 2014If the Honda HR-V feels awfully familiar to you by now, you're not alone. We've seen it debut in Japanese form (dubbed "Vezel"), caught a prototype in Paris, and Honda first showed us the US-spec version in press-photo form all the way back at the New York Auto Show in April. We're finally going to get all the details on Honda's new subcompact crossover this week as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but first, we're getting an early look at the CUV today.
We met the Honda HR-V for a cup of coffee this morning at Randy's Donuts just outside of Los Angeles, and got our first look at the new CUV in the metal. It's a handsome little thing, offering a higher-riding, more butch alternative to the Fit hatchback on which it's based. We particularly like how the rear door handles are integrated into the pillars, for an almost three-door look from some angles.
Technical details are still scarce as of this writing, though we expect those to be revealed during Honda's press conference on Wednesday. For now, we just know that the HR-V should be an incredibly practical little thing, using the Magic Seat system that has made the Fit such a versatile and capacious subcompact. Stay tuned for more, and see the HR-V from all angles in our live gallery, above.
Watch the very first Honda N600 be brought back to life
Wed, Oct 19 2016Since Honda announced the restoration of the first N600 hatchback in America – the very first car it sold here – and its related video series, we've been eagerly awaiting the finished product. Well, it's done, and the company has released the final installment, which shows the car before and after. It's an impressive transformation. The restoration was done by Tim Mings, who specializes in restoring N600s and their sportier looking siblings, the Z600s. He performed a ground-up restoration, from the interior to the car's 600-cc, 9000-rpm, two-cylinder engine. Now that it's finished and has made its debut at the Japanese Classic Car Show in California, it will head off to the company's museum. You can see the results of Mings's hard work in the video above. If you want more details on specific parts of the restoration, you can also check out Honda's playlist on YouTube.
