I AM SELLING MY 95 HONDA PRELUDE CP. IT IS A SPORTY FUN DRIVING LITTLE. ITS A 5SPD. 2DR WITH DK. GREEN EXTERIOR AND TAN AND BLACK INTERIOR. SUNROOF. THE TIRES GOOD. IT IS IN NEED OF SOME TLC AND IS CURRENTLY NOT DRIVABLE. I PURCHASED THIS CAR FOR MY DAUGHTER AND AS A SINGLE MOTHER AM UNABLE TO HANDLE THE CURRENT REPAIRS NEEDED FOR IT TO RETURN TO A DRIVABLE STATE. I CANNOT SAY WITH CONFIDENCE WHAT EXACTLY IS WRONG WITH THE CAR BUT ABOUT A MONTH AGO IT BECAME UNDRIVABLE. ITS NOT AN ENGINE PROBLEM WHATSOEVER. IT CRANKS UP LIKE NORMAL IT JUST WILL NOT GO. IT WONT PULL UP THE ROAD. IF YOU PUT IT IN FIRST AND TRY TO USE YOUR CLUTCH IT WONT ACCELERATE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT NEEDS A NEW CLUTCH INSTALLED. THE CAR HAS OTHER MINOR ISSUES THAT COME WITH ANY USED CAR. HOPEFULLY MY INCLUDED PHOTOS WILL HELP. INTERIOR SEATS BOTTOMS NEED REPAIRING. AIR CONDITIONER DOESNT WORK AND AS IVE BEEN TOLD NEEDS RECHARGING. EXTERIOR CLEAR COAT IS PEELING ON SOME AREAS OF CAR. ALL GLASS IS IN GOOD COND. AND THE CURRENT STEREO WILL BE REMOVED AND NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. ME AND MY DAUGHTER LOVE THIS LITTLE GEM. WE DROVE THIS CAR EVERYDAY AND HAD NO BREAK DOWNS OR ISSUES. IT IS A HARD TO FIND MODEL OF HONDA AND IS A VERY WELL LIKED AND SOUGHT AFTER CAR. IT WILL BE A GREAT BUY FOR SOMEONE WITH THE ABILITY AND KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WOULD LIKE ANY ADDITIONAL PHOTOS I WILL BE MORE THAN GLAD TO HELP ANSWER AND PROVIDE BEST I CAN. THANK YOU. BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP AND SHIPPING OF VEHICLE. IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTYS WRITTEN OR EXPRESSED.

Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]
Wed, 15 Jan 2014This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.
You can watch all of the press release and winning videos below or check out all of the finalists, announced last month, for a refresher.
McLaren working on P15 supercar to slot between 650S and P1
Thu, 20 Mar 2014McLaren has been busy these past few years. It launched the MP4-12C in 2011, the 12C Spider in 2012, the P1 in 2013 and (most recently) the 650S in 2014. But it's not about to stop there. It's got an "entry-level" model in the works, set to take on the Porsche 911, and - according to information reported by Car and Driver and confirmed by McLaren in correspondence with Autoblog - a new flagship model, too.
The project is internally codenamed P15, and it calls for a new flagship that will cap the company's lineup once the P1 finishes its limited production run, but carry a price tag in the neighborhood of $500k to slot in between the P1 and the new 650S.
Just how, you wonder, can McLaren possibly develop another supercar each year? Simple: underneath, they're all essentially the same. (Only we're sure it's anything but simple.) That is to say they're all based on the same carbon monocoque structure and powered by the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels. What differentiates them is what the engineers in Woking build around that monocoque and how they tune the engine: +/- 600 horsepower in the 12C (depending on the year it was built), 640 hp in the 650S, or 727 hp in the P1 (with another 177 from the electric assist). The 911 fighter would likely develop in the 500hp range, and the P15 will probably land in the upper 600 (or lower 700) range.
Petrolicious profiles an 'original fanboy' and his 1987 Honda CRX Si
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Christopher Hoffman is a guy I'd like to meet. He's profiled in the latest installment of Petrolicious, titled Original Fanboy, because of his love and dedication to his 1987 Honda CRX Si. And that's something I can relate to.
My personal car is a black 1988 Honda CRX Si. Road & Track executive editor Sam Smith sold it to me in December 2010 with some 93,000 miles on the odometer (and one bum tire!), and though I don't drive it nearly as much as I should, I'm madly in love with my little Honda. I take immense pride in owning this car, despite my recent neglect. As soon as we're done with this Polar Vortex crap here in the midwestern United States, I'm going to pull the CRX out of its wintertime storage and show it the love it deserves.
Like me, Hoffman fully understands the beauty of the CRX. It's not super powerful, or even quick (when it was new, its 0-60 time was just over 9 seconds), but it's extremely light, and comes from an era when Honda was churning out brilliantly simple cars. The steering is incredibly precise, the transmission perfect, and the chassis superb. Nearly 26 years after its birth, I adore every moment behind the wheel of my CRX. And thanks to this Petrolicious special, I know I'm not alone. Scroll down to watch the full episode.
