ok up for bids is my 1989 honda prelude 2.0 s automatic i purchased this vehicle with alil bit over fourty thousand miles around two years and some months ago. the vehicle is in great shape for its age. it has very few noticable dings and some small rust around the rear wheel wells as you can see in the pictures. it has some slight peeling paint on the bumpers front and back.the vechicle has heat and ac the ac is cold but makes a ticking sound when at idle. i was told it was the compressor and that it would need to be replaced. that was two years ago and its still working,i was waiting for it to fail me before i was going to replace it,but it never failed its still working but however if the ticking sound botheres you when at idle then you should replace the compressor.the only issue that i had with the vehicle since owning it was the alternator which i had replaced last summer and at the same time i replaced the battery.i only used synthetic oil since owning the vehicle period! around three months ago i had brand new brakes and rotors all around front and back installed along with brand new front brake callipers. all were done at the same time and should have around 300 miles or so of use since then.around four months ago i had the air filter replaced along with bosh spark plugs and wires all done at the sametime.the interior is very clean for its age. vehicle has cruise control and a working sunroof. also please note that the vehicle sunroof gasket was alil torn as seen in the pic i tried to purchase a new one but to no luck so i just put a little bit of gasket seal around it because i was afraid it was going to leak. tires are ok car runs and drives .it has been sitting for around two months or so and the inspection and regiistration has since expired on jan 1st. but i have been starting it. i hope i covered everything. please come look at the vehicle start it and drive it a little before you bid on it. i am not a mechanic and cant and will not guarantee anything, anthing else please ask or call 646 529 2225 my name is ken . also the vehicle has no spare tired and the cardboard insert for the trunk but it has the carpet .i purchased it this way ,low reserve goodluck& vehicle has only 70,999 miles

Weekly Recap: Chrysler forges ahead with new name, same mission
Sat, Dec 20 2014Chrysler is history. Sort of. The 89-year-old automaker was absorbed into the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles conglomerate that officially launched this fall, and now the local operations will no longer use the Chrysler Group name. Instead, it's FCA US LLC. Catchy, eh? Here's what it means: The sign outside Chrysler's Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters says FCA (which it already did) and obviously, all official documents use the new name, rather than Chrysler. That's about it. The executives, brands and location of the headquarters aren't changing. You'll still be able to buy a Chrysler 200. It's just made by FCA US LLC. This reinforces that FCA is one company going forward – the seventh largest automaker in the world – not a Fiat-Chrysler dual kingdom. While the move is symbolic, it is a conflicting moment for Detroiters, though nothing is really changing. Chrysler has been owned by someone else (Daimler, Cerberus) for the better part of two decades, but it still seemed like it was Chrysler in the traditional sense: A Big 3 automaker in Detroit. Now, it's clearly the US division of a multinational industrial empire; that's good thing for its future stability, but bittersweet nonetheless. Undoubtedly, it's an emotion that's also being felt at Fiat's Turin, Italy, headquarters as the company will no longer officially be called Fiat there. Digest that for a moment. What began in 1899 as the Societa Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino – or FIAT – is now FCA Italy SpA. In a statement, FCA said the move "is intended to emphasize the fact that all group companies worldwide are part of a single organization." The new names are the latest changes orchestrated by CEO Sergio Marchionne, who continues to makeover FCA as an international automaker that has ties to its heritage – but isn't tied down by it. Everything from the planned spinoff of Ferrari, a new FCA headquarters in London and the pending demise of the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2016 has shown that the company is willing to move quickly, even if it's controversial. While renaming the United States and Italian divisions were the moves most likely to spur controversy, FCA said other regions across the globe will undergo similar name changes this year. Despite the mixed emotions, it's worth noting: The name of the merged company that oversees all of these far-flung units is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Obviously the Chrysler corporate name isn't completely history.
Honda next to open museum to Google Street View
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Had your fill of tooling around the Lamborghini Museum on Google Street View? Maybe Italian supercars aren't your thing? Then we've got good news, because The House That Ferruccio Built isn't the only automotive museum in cyberspace: now the Honda Collection Hall has opened its doors to the crew from Mountain View, too.
The Honda Collection Hall, for those who haven't made it out to Japan's Tochigi Prefecture, is a grand three-story museum dedicated to all things Honda. It's located at the Twin Ring Motegi, and has been open since 1998. Inside visitors will find everything from robots and scooters to SUVs and racing cars. But if you can't make it there in person, you can check out all three levels of floorspace on Street View right from the comfort of your home. Honda recalling 183k cars and crossovers over unintended braking issue
Thu, 14 Mar 2013A recall has been issued for nearly 183,000 Honda and Acura brand vehicles from the 2005 and 2006 model years. The problem stems from a potential malfunctions to the vehicles' stability control and braking systems.
Drivers have reported a malfunction to Honda's Vehicle Stability Assist system, though to date, no crashes or injuries have been reported as a result of it. Some of the vehicles' Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) control units may have an electric capacitor that was damaged during manufacture. A damaged control unit could cause the VSA system to apply brake force for a "fraction of a second" without any driver input, or could add additional brake force if it malfunctions while the driver is already braking. Either example could increase the risk of a crash.
To fix the issue, Honda will install a new electrical sub-harness, free of charge to the owner. The recall specifies 101,000 Honda Pilot (pictured), 60,000 Acura MDX and 21,000 Acura RL vehicles from the 2005 model year will be affected. An additional 800 MDX crossovers from the 2006 model year are also included in the recall. In addition, 51,000 of the affected 2005 Pilots will be inspected to be sure that a ground bolt for the VSA system is properly tight. Should this bolt come lose, similar unexpected brake activation may occur.
