This is a great car for summer. I have had it for many years, but it is time for me to sell it. It is in amazing condition. I have taken care of it like it was a new car. Take a look at the pictures, especially the interior and it looks flawless.

The engine has been replaced with a fully built Japanese H22A engine, and only about 25,000 KM on it. It makes about 450 horsepower with it's giant turbo. You can hear the air sucking in on the highway. There is a twin plate racing clutch to handle all of the power.

I have installed a glass sunroof which opens up the inside of the car. The interior is in near perfect condition. There are a few blemishes on the outside, but that is to be expected on an older car. It was repainted about 5 years ago.

It has an electronic boost controller, along with other electronic gauges inside that you can watch while driving. Alpine deck, amp and speakers are installed. The car uses 93 octane fuel. It is tuned with a Hondata S300 ECU. You can connect your laptop to the car while it is running to monitor all aspects of the engine. It has an immobilizer installed.

Listing of some of the main parts added:
-Garrett Turbo charger making 450 horsepower
-Intercooler with blow-off valve
-Tein racing suspension. The car has also been lowered for better handling
-Carbon Fibre hood
-Buddy Club rims with Dunlop Dirreza summer tires for amazing grip
-Custom 3 inch exhaust
-Oil cooler
-Limited Slip Differential
-Fully built and forged internal shortblock

There are many other parts, too many to list here; over $20,000 in parts alone invested, not including labor or the price of the car itself. For a full list of parts, please see the picture with all of the parts installed.

The tint is starting to age and needs to be removed. There is also some damage on the front bumper lip, but this can be replace or repaired fairly easily. It is not part of the actual bumper.

Comes with official service manual and other documents for the parts.

Buyer is responsible for any costs associated with picking up or shipping the vehicle. Shipping must be arranged by the buyer.  This car is sold as is; there are no warranties or guarantees.

Preferred payment of payment is a direct wire transfer.

If you have any questions, send me a message and I will answer it as soon as possible.

2015 Honda Civic Type R to sire next-gen CR-Z?

Mon, 16 Sep 2013

Salt shakers at the ready, boys and girls. There's a rumor out of Australia claiming the next Honda CR-Z will be based on the forthcoming 276-horsepower, turbocharged Civic Type R. Apparently Honda's research and development bigwigs have been unnerved by the reception of the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins and are eager to return fire.
Now, don't get too excited - Honda isn't following the Volkswagen model of offering virtually unchanged mechanicals in a different bodyshell (Beetle Turbo and GTI, for example). Instead, the report says the future CR-Z will retain its hybrid powertrain, albeit with a serious kick in the pants. A prototype is said to already be zipping around Japan with a turbocharged, direct-injected, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and the current CR-Z's electric motor and battery pack. With a reported 221 horsepower mated up to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission (say buh-bye to the CVT and six-speed manual) and the next-gen Civic platform underneath, the rumored CR-Z has all the makings of a hot hatch riot.
Of course, this all sounds wonderful. This is also the point where you should be enjoying that salt. We really like the idea of a properly hot CR-Z that can compete with John Cooper Works Mini models and the new Ford Fiesta ST, but the three-door hybrid has been such a slow seller for Honda in the US that it might not field a second generation here, no matter how improved it might be. Let us know what you think of an amped-up CR-Z in the comments. Is it a good idea, or is this one Honda model that's just too far gone?

Honda returning to F1 as McLaren partner

Thu, 16 May 2013

Honda must really love Formula One racing, as evidenced by today's announcement that the Japanese automaker is returning to the world's most popular motorsport for the fifth time in its history. Honda has entered into a team partnership with McLaren to develop and manufacture power systems - the engine and energy recovery system - for the 2015 F1 season. McLaren will be in charge of chassis development and running the day-to-day operations of this newly formed team, which will be called McLaren Honda.
Honda says its decision to reenter F1 racing had to do with new regulations for the 2014 season that require cars to be powered by a 1.6-liter direct-injection turbocharged V6 engine paired with an energy recovery system. Apparently the chance to develop this particular powertrain for F1 racing was too enticing for Honda to pass up, which suggests it has bigger plans for the knowledge learned while developing these systems beyond just winning races.
As mentioned, this is Honda's fifth foray into F1 racing, the first being back in 1964 when it participated as its own team through 1968. Its longest stint came from 1983-1992 as an engine supplier, during which time it partnered with many teams, including McLaren, and won six Constructor Championships. Honda then returned from 2000-2005 as an engine supplier for British American Racing (BAR) before buying that team outright and running it as Honda Racing from 2006-2008. Then the global economic crisis hit. Honda's return to the sport will surely be welcomed by fans as its partnership with McLaren should produce a formidable team. It's a strong signal that the company has returned to health after a few tumultuous years, and hopefully its rediscovered motorsports mojo will help yield more passionately engineered street cars.
