The front bumper came off and the frame is slightly bent. The car still drives and functions perfectly. I'm not a big car person, but to my knowledge this is the extent of the damage (Please see pictures for more details and contact me if you want any specific pictures): 1. Frame slightly bent 2. Front Bumper 3. Driver's side front fender 4. Passenger's side front fender 5. Airbags DID NOT deploy!!"

Clear Title, in hand --Not salvaged!  Airbags did not deploy!  Engine runs and car drives great!  All interior parts working!  Great project for someone who knows what they're doing.

The title is CLEAR and in my possession!!!  The accident was not run through our insurance because there was no collision insurance on the vehicle. We were about to replace the vehicle anyway, so we decided to sell it as is instead of paying to fix it.

Please note: The vehicle is drive-able and can handle a long drive, but given the missing front bumper it may not be legal to drive on public roads.

Vehicle has been well-maintained an received regular oil-changes and maintenance. Battery replaced less than 6 months ago.  Interior shows normal wear and tear for a family car this age and mileage but is clean.  Never smoked in.  We purchased it new in 2002. Has a flip-down DVD player.

I would be happy to answer any questions and/or take any pictures or videos you would like to see and text or email them to you to help you make up your mind.  Just let me know.

Wagon Attack's crappy Civic Wagon meets its end in Iceland

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Several years ago, we posted a video on a dumpy, all-wheel-drive, turbocharged Honda Civic Wagon that starred in a film called Wagon Attack II. The video showed the rusty, red five-door tackling terrain that no Civic has any business driving on, and doing it with flair and style.
Now, the team that produced the original video are back, with Wagon Attack III. The latest video is packed full of goodness for wagon lovers of any stripe. Where the last video saw the turbocharged wagon in Michigan, though, this time it's been shipped to Iceland, where it's flung about on the beaches and dirt roads of the volcanic island.
The video has a bit of a sad ending, though. You'll need to watch it and see what we mean. We've got the entire video down below. Take a look.

Car and Driver lists 10Best for 2013, same as it ever was

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Forgive us for having the distinct feeling of déjà vu, but it certainly feels like we've been here before. By that we are referring Car and Driver and the announcement of its annual 10Best vehicles for 2013. To be sure, it's an impressive selection of cars that combine heart-pounding performance and frugal sensibilities, but it also represents something of a broken record on the part of C/D. We're not so sure that's a flaw, though, as the resulting list is tough to argue with.
Vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Porsche Boxster, and BMW 3 Series have maintained their high-horsepower spots on this list for several years now. Even on the more practical and nimble end, the Honda Accord, Honda Fit and Mazda Miata have not budged. These continued spots are even in light of redesigns for some vehicles such as the Accord, Boxster and 3 Series.
In fact, the only newcomer to the 10Best list this year are the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins, which knocked out the Cadillac CTS-V. We think it would have been a huge misstep to have excluded the FR-S/BRZ, even in light of the supercharged Caddy's lamentable departure from 10Best.

J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
