TIMOTHYS AUTO SALES IS PROUD TO PRESENT
ANOTHER FIXER UPPER WHOLESALE SPECIAL
2003 HONDA PILOT EX-L WITH A BROKEN TIMING BELT
IT DOES NOT RUN!!!!!!!!

So here is the long sad story. What i have here is a 2003 Honda Pilot that i purchased at a wholesale auction to put on my lot for a retail vehicle. I got there early, looked it over real well and everything was great! I purchased the vehicle and drove it around for a few days before getting it in to the shop for a safety check (my mistake) on my way home one night the timing belt broke! Well we all hopefully know what that means, THE MOTOR DOES NOT RUN!!!! I had it towed to our shop and had the mechanic assess it. We were going to ATTEMPT to put a new t-belt on and compression test the engine, but it never got that far! The rear cam is locked solid!!!!!! It does not move! I assume the bottom end is still good, but a used low mileage motor can be had for around $400.00 on car-part.com. That to me is the most economically feasible way to go in my opinion. However i am swamped with cars and work so that is not in order now and it must go! I am willing to cut my losses. IT WILL NOT RUN, NO YOU CANT DRIVE IT HOME!!!!! ASSUME THE WORSE.

What i can tell you is that it drove beautifully right up till that with no check engine lights and full OBD rediness. All of the suspension felt nice and responsive as did the brakes and most importantly the transmission shifted PERFECT. It has 4 matched tires that have excellent tread, with no uneven wear. This was really a nice vehicle right till the belt snapped. The body is in nice shape with some normal parking lot dings that i have tried to picture, the worse part is the rear bumper, one side is a little smushed and the other side is scraped up. The interior is in good shape for the year with minor wear on the leather but no rips or tares, it does need a really good cleaning though. This has the factory rear DVD player with both head sets and the remote. Also it has the factory all weather mats from front all the way to the back. The third row seat is folded up under the mat.

AS SOON AS WE NOTICED THE SEIZED CAM SHAFT WE STOPPED WORKING ON IT, WE PUT THE MOTOR MOUNT BACK ON AND PUT THE ADDITIONAL PARTS NEATLY IN THE BACK, THE SIDE OF THE MOTOR IS PARTIALLY DISASSEMBLED, BUT ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE!!!!! THE EASIEST WAY TO GO ABOUT FIXING THIS I THINK IS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE ENGINE, BUT DO WHAT YOU WISH IF YOU ARE THE HIGH BIDDER!!!!!

TERMS------- IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEED BACK CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING OR I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID, I AM NOT HERE TO PLAY GAMES, THIS IS AN AUCTION SO IF YOU WIN IT, YOU BUY IT. A $200.00 DEPOSIT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON WINNING AND YOU HAVE 5 BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE END OF AUCTION TO HAVE IT PAID AND OUT OF HERE, I WILL ACCEPT CASH AND ONLY CASH FOR PAYMENT, THAT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. THAT IS HOW I CONDUCT MY BUSINESS, I DONT CARE HOW YOU DO YOURS I ONLY TAKE CASH. I AM WILLING TO DELIVER UP TO 200.00 MILES FOR A FEE....... IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL ME AT 413-563-1054. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LOOK AT IT PRIOR TO BIDDING JUST CALL........

Honda opening first new motherland plant in almost 50 years

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Despite opening dozens of overseas plants in the past several decades in locations all over the globe, Honda Motor Co. has not expanded its car manufacturing capabilities in its home market of Japan since opening a facility in Sayama back in 1964.
But all of that is set to change this July when Honda opens the doors to a new assembly plant in Yorii, about two hours north of Tokyo. According to Bloomberg, the new facility has a projected annual capacity of 250,000 vehicles. The plant is part of the automaker's reorganization efforts, plans that include scaling back its older Sayama plant and bringing Yorii online with more efficient and innovative technology. There are additional benefits, too, as the Yorii plant is expected to create 3,800 jobs, both on-site and at its suppliers, and boost the local economy as other businesses ramp up to accommodate the influx of new workers.
While the automaker has not released specifics about which models will be produced at Yorii, Honda is expected to consolidate production of models including the Fit, a best-seller in its domestic market.

2015 Honda Fit pricing leak shows slight increases across the board

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

Pricing for the next-generation 2015 Honda Fit has has been circulating online after a poster going by the username ChrisAP1 on tlxforums.com released the figures. None of these prices include the destination charge, which was not specified (the outgoing model's charge was $790).
According to the leak, the new Fit is being offered in three trim levels - LX, EX and EX-L. A base LX model with a six-speed manual starts at $15,525, with the new CVT running $800 more at $16,325. All cars come standard with air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, Bluetooth and LED taillights.
A six-speed EX will run buyers $17,435 or $18,235 for the automatic. Upgrading to this trim nets buyers a power moonroof, a proximity key, paddle shifters on CVT models, Honda's LaneWatch system, fog lights and a 7-inch touchscreen radio. Finally, the EX-L trim is only available with the CVT for $19,800 or with added navigation for $20,800. It adds heated leather seats, a leather shift knob and steering wheel, plus turn signals in the sideview mirrors.

McLaren pondering Honda-powered 911 killer?

Tue, 21 May 2013

As one of the premier sports cars in the world, the Porsche 911 is always driving around with a target on its rear-engined backside. If a new report is to be believed, the latest automaker with plans to build a 911-fighting sports coupe could be McLaren. Motor Trend is reporting that the recent news that Honda and McLaren are teaming up to build Formula One racecars could bear road-going fruit as well.
According to the article, the unnamed entry-level McLaren coupe may be powered by a Honda-sourced engine, but a detuned version of the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C is said to be more likely. All in, though, there is no solid information on the car just yet. As a reminder, M/T points out that the last time McLaren partnered up with a mainstream automaker, the world was introduced to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
