I am the original owner and purchased this beautiful 2010 Honda new from Pacific Honda.
This mini-van has been meticulously cared for by the Honda dealership and runs the same as it did when I drove it off the dealer lot. Brand new tires were just installed last month "Michelin Defender" 90K mile tires. Any and all work for this van was performed by Hoehn Honda. Oil change was just performed by the Honda dealer. This is the Honda Odyssey EX-L Navi which is fully loaded. It is important when purchasing an Odyssey to see if the Navigation is included it is a $6000 feature that only comes when purchased new. I also purchased the Honda Care Vehicle Service Contract for the car which expires at 100K or 10/26/16 which ever comes first. Their may be a transfer fee of $50 which is a nominal price for peace and mind. For more info: hondafinancialservices.com/finance/extended-services This mini-van will provide many years of trouble free enjoyment for your family as it did ours. I am including the entire set of Weather Tech floor mats (matching grey) for the entire car. The only items to note is it has 2 scrapes on the bumper one on the front (passenger) side and the other in the rear (middle). Please view the pictures, otherwise no mechanical or issues to note what-so-ever. If you would like to view the mini-van before the end of the auction please email me with your contact info and I will schedule a time for you to see this beautiful family mini-van. Thank you and Happy Bidding Shawn |

Honda CR-Z carbon-fiber prototype
Tue, 03 Dec 2013When Honda rolled out the CR-Z a few years ago, it hoped to bridge the gap between those who would save the planet and those who would rather burn all of its resources in a glorious cloud of tire smoke. But enthusiasts recalling the CRX of 1980s vintage balked, imploring Honda to ditch the heavy battery packs and electric motors in favor of a lighter-weight, more conventional powertrain. At this point it seems less likely that Honda would do so at one end of the market than Porsche would ditch the hybrid component of its 918 Spyder at the other. But that doesn't mean Honda isn't still cooking up ways to curb the CR-Z's weight. And it had just one such idea waiting for us when we visited its Japanese R&D center at Tochigi last week.
Nestled in between the JDM hatchbacks, powertrain test mules and new technology prototypes Honda rolled out for us sat the experimental CR-Z you see here. While it may look mostly like the hybrid sport-hatch you can pick up at your local dealer (albeit blacked out), nearly all of this prototype's bodywork has been completely replaced, as have its basic underpinnings, with carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. The exotic material is usually reserved for high-end exotics, but like BMW is democratizing its use in the new i3, so too is Honda researching ways to implement the use of carbon fiber on a mass scale. This one-of-a-kind CR-Z prototype stands, for the time being, as the embodiment of that effort.

Honda asking used-car buyers to sign liability document [w/poll]

New cars under recall must be repaired before a dealer can sell them but used cars are under no such mandate.
When it comes to informing the car-buying public about potential safety hazards on used vehicles, there are two emerging schools of thought among used-car dealers.
Takata airbags were adopted in late 1990s to save a few dollars per vehicle
Sun, Aug 28 2016According to a new report from The New York Times, General Motors started using airbags supplied by Takata in the late 1990s as a cost-saving measure even after receiving warnings about their safety. Takata's airbag modules were reportedly 30-percent cheaper than its competitors' offerings. GM approached Autoliv, which until that time had been its main airbag supplier, to see if it could offer a competitively priced alternative to Takata. Autoliv tested Takata's airbag inflator and found that it was unsafe, according to scientists who worked for the supplier at the time. Chris Hock, who until recently still worked for Autoliv, said the inflator "turned it into shrapnel" when tested. GM was subsequently warned by Autoliv that Takata's ammonium nitrate inflators were potentially dangerous. Still, "General Motors told us they were going to buy Takata's inflaters unless we could make a cheaper one," said Linda Rink, who served as a senior scientist at Autoliv at the time. A spokesperson for General Motors told The Times that it would be inappropriate to comment on discussions that "occurred two decades ago between Old GM and a supplier." So far, no Takata-supplied airbags have ruptured in an accident, and GM was far from the only automaker to make a switch to Takata airbags in order to save money. A total of 64 million airbags have so far been recalled from nearly every automaker selling vehicles in America. A spokesperson from Honda said in a statement to The Times that "There was no industry understanding in the late 1990s" that ammonium nitrate airbag inflators were risky. The majority of deaths linked to Takata airbags were in vehicles built by Honda. Takata still produces airbag inflators that use an ammonium nitrate compound, despite the devices being blamed for at least 14 deaths. Click here for NHTSA's dedicated site on open Takata recalls.
