Rare Citrus Green 1st Year Insight, 5 Speed, Clean, No Accident, 60+mpg on 2040-cars
Lebanon, New Jersey, United States
If you want a low original mile, true survivor, citrus-colored 5-speed Insight, read on! The citrus colored insights were only made in the first model year (2000.) The number produced was very low (estimates of 300 total.) This is a true collector quality car with only 89k original miles. The body is not flawless, but it is nice, as seen in my pictures! Every body panel has the correct VIN tag on it (both front fenders, hood, both doors, both quarter panels, rear hatch, front and back bumper covers.) So no panels have ever been replaced. The car has never been in any kind of major accident, or this would be appearent with replacement panels lacking the correct vin numbers.. Interior-wise, again, the car is real nice. The seats are great and not worn through (in fact they show very little wear at all,) the steering wheel, dash, headliner, door panels, trunk carpeting, etc have no stains at all, and are all perfect. All the rubber is perfect around the doors, rear hatch, hood, etc. It has the correct size 165/65/14 tires (brand new Michelin Green X, low rolling resistance tires, with 100% tread.) that were just mounted and spun balanced, so you'll be good to go for the next 80k miles. The car runs, drives, and shifts very well. It does not leak or burn any fluids at all, and is a super smooth rider. The car has a wiring harness for a digital grid charger. For those not in the know, grid charging the pack peaks and equalizes the cells within the pack. This is extremely good for the battery, and prolongs it's life and health. The car has all the manuals, key and remote, too. Transmission-wise, it shifts perfectly. The clutch and slave cylinder are pefect too. Accessory-wise, everything works exactly as it should; heater, blower fan, power windows and switches, power locks and switches, turn signals, every bulb inside and out, all the dash including the trip meter, horn, turn signals, stock Honda am/fm/cassette stereo (including the very rare CD changer and 4 speaker option, with great sound). If you want the best citrus for your money, look no further.

Refreshed Honda Civic's first commercial is a minor mea culpa
Thu, 27 Dec 2012Honda has officially rolled out the first ad for the 2013 Civic. The one-minute spot focuses on a number of clever inventions that improve on old themes, from rocket-powered parachutes to hover bikes and smart window shades, before shifting to the redesigned compact. Set to Santigold's "Disparate Youth," the ad culminates with the phrase, "Things can always be better." This is likely as close as we'll come to hearing Honda say, "we could have done better."
Unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show, the 2013 Civic features revised front and rear fascias, nicer cabin materials and an updated suspension just one year after the ninth-generation model debuted. That car received scaling reviews from critics, most notably Consumer Reports, who felt the 2012 Civic was a step backwards for a company known for producing high-quality, economical vehicles. You can check out the full ad for the 2013 Civic below before it debuts during the Rose Bowl.
Recharge Wrap-up: Green Car award for Volvo XC90, MN air better from biodiesel
Thu, Apr 7 2016The Honda CR-V could return with a plug-in hybrid option. Expected to debut in the fall of 2017, the PHEV could use a 2.0-liter I4 plus an electric motor. It's possible that the new CR-V is being developed in North America, and will borrow design cues from the Honda Civic. There also could be a seven-seat version. Beyond that, details are pretty scarce. Read more at Hybrid Cars, and from Response JP. UC Davis will present findings from a CARB-commissioned study on customer valuation of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Dr. Ken Kurani of the university's Institute of Transportation Studies will report on consumer attitudes toward ZEVs, and the differences between those valuations and market behavior. In Kurani's survey, respondents had the opportunity to design their own car with an in-survey game. Almost a quarter of people designed some sort of EV, including plug-in hybrids and fuel cell vehicles. Read more from CARB, or at Green Car Congress. Minnesota's biodiesel efforts have improved air quality. According to the American Lung Association in Minnesota, summer and winter blends of biodiesel have prevented the emission of 130 tons of particulate matter, 319 tons of hydrocarbon and 2,634 tons of carbon monoxide every year, as well as a total of 3.7 million tons of CO2 over the last 10 years. Minnesota requires a B10 biodiesel blend during the summer months, and B5 throughout the winter. Read more from Biodiesel Magazine. The Volvo XC90 has received the Canadian Green Car Award for Most Efficient Three-Row Family Vehicle. Honda CEO says we shouldn't expect any new sports cars
Tue, 19 Nov 2013It wasn't so long ago that Honda was known for its sporty two-door models, with models ranging from the Civic del Sol to the Prelude and from the Acura Integra and RSX to the Honda S2000. But look at its range today and all you'll see are the Civic and Accord coupes. Honda has essentially let competitors like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ and Nissan 370Z take the place it once claimed as its own. But if you were hoping Honda would fight back with a new coupe or convertible of its own, we're afraid you're going to have to downgrade those hopes to pipe dreams.
While in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog had a chance to sit down with American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura (pictured at right). When we asked about the potential for a new sports coupe or convertible in the Honda or Acura lineup, he pointed to the current Civic and Accord coupes - not to mention the upcoming new NSX - but said that Honda has no replacement for any of the aforementioned models (or a rival for the FR-S or 370Z) in the pipeline, saying only that the company is monitoring potential demand.
What Iwamura-san did note was that he's a personal fan of the new S660 roadster (pictured above) set to be unveiled tomorrow, and he is pushing (or at least hoping) that it will come to North America. Given that he's head of both Honda's American office and its global automobile operations, one might think that the only person he would have to persuade is himself (well... himself, and potential buyers), but the sporty droptop looks to be about kei-sized, which sadly suggests that it may be too small for American tastes and perhaps not designed with US crash-test standards in mind anyway.
